The area where the hotel was, is lovely.
Cold room, freezing bathroom. All radiators were off in the corridors in our area / floor too. Tired decor. Homeless emergency housing. Nowhere within fast walking distance for food, drink or provisions.
The chlorine was very strong in the pool and the area was tired, the gym was tiny.

Great facilities and grounds. Reception and breakfast staff were vert welcoming and friendly. Room was spotless and the location was perfect for a city break and short drive to the national park

Booked for two nights and stayed for one
Everything! The hotel looks tired and needs a full revamp. The dining table we had was sticky so not cleaned. The menus were dirty with sticky fingerprints on, felt very grubby. The dinner menu was not good, the food was not good and looked obvious that it was not freshly prepared. The room, well we were upgraded to a Privileged room, that’s a joke the curtains were filthy the bed uncomfortable the seating you couldn’t relax in, would have hated to see a normal room. At dinner we asked for a dessert menu and received a small card with ‘Build Your Own’ dessert” really! Obviously we didn’t have one. The photos on the website of the rooms and food doesn’t represent what you get!!
We had booked for two Spa treatments and in the end cancelled as we saw the area prior and did not get the “Spa feeling” when we walked in to what we have been used to at other Spas. All you could smell was chlorine, made an excuse and cancelled

Lovely and welcoming reception area. I didn’t hear any noise from neighbouring bedrooms at night or in the corridors from 11pm onwards until 8am.
The pool area in the evening (after 6.30pm) was a bit untidy with left towels and drinks on sun loungers.

The electric went off, no back up generator. I could not get a shower, no offer of vouchers or part refund, would have been nice.

Our bathroom was clean.
The staff weren’t very well trained. Unable to answer questions about the property? You can hear all the noise from the rooms either side of you. The restaurant wasn’t open. The carpet in the room has gaps which was unsettling. The pool water was too hot and under staffed. The car park wasn’t well maintained as tree roots had made surface very uneven.

It looks nice from the outside. Staff were friendly.
It’s quite shabby and needs refurbishing. The pool was very murky and everywhere felt a bit grubby.

Easy parking, large bath, very hot water, dog friendly touches were sweet.
The lady at check-in was absolutely lovely, warm and friendly. She answered all my questions and amended my booking easily which really made a difference to a fairly stressful day.
Bathroom was a little rough around the edges and the shower sprayed onto the floor easily - which became a bit of a slip hazard.

The beds was comfortable. Heating worked. Decent location.
The tv was not connected to the internet, even though WiFi was available, tried to call reception, no answer. Basic things like slippers and bath robe was not provided in the room. Everything was very basic. Not worth the money. We checked out early. We not going to stay an extra night.

It was cold in the communal areas rooms were a bit tired

Staff were wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful.
It is sooooo old. Walls are cracking. Needs serious renovation. Stayed in a Junior Suite and the room was horrible. The lighting is terrible, only side lamps with dim bulbs to light up the whole room. The room was freezing because the was zero heating except a small portable electric heater. Carpet and couch were beyond old and the balcony needed to be cleaned. Swimming pool was gross because it is old.

Room prepared and cleaned excellently by Dona, comfortable beds and good water temperature and pressure, plenty mirrors and storage space, nice outdoors for a stroll around the pond and lovely staff
The rooms were a bit bare and worn, no fridge,

Great location for visiting family in Sheffield before Christmas. Very festive feel, friendly and welcoming staff to children and dogs (a dog bed, a bowl, a toy and treats were in the room). A lovely buffet breakfast, excellent pastries and the pancake machine was a great hit.
The pool is quite small and down some steep steps from the toilets and changing area so not an easy flow with children.
Our room was clean but a bit tired but it was a dog friendly one so maybe that’s why

The staff were the best part, naturally friendly, helpful and professional at all times, starting with a lovely warm welcome given on arrival by The Reception Desk staff. This customer-experience was consistent throughout whether it was the friendly restaurant and bar staff or the room servicing teams Breakfast was great and so was the food in the restaurant along with the convenient opening hours of the restaurant.
It would be nice if the accessible car-park space could be reserved somehow because if you go out for an evening it is then difficult if you've lost the space you had originally parked in as there are so few; perhaps a few more accessible parking spaces might remedy this or a reservation-cone.

It was location for our work christmas party so I decided stay over.
Building/room in general was run down dirty, in desperate need of redecorating too many layers of paint over paint over dirt etc.

Spacious room. Tea/coffee making facilities.
Quite modern. Lovely views. Quiet. Comfortable bedding/pillows. Clean
Sofa bed mattress a bit uncomfortable.
WiFi didn’t work in room (quite far from main area)
Room cold didn’t warm up with heating but had plug in heater in room that eventually warmed up the room.
Stairs area to the room smelt like drains

Great location clean welcoming fabulous facilities
Friendly helpful staff
Room was really spacious warm comfortable bed and clean bathroom
On check out day the staff seemed to hover and wait outside the room to clean, unfortunately made us feel a little uncomfortable as we were on zoom meetings before we left.
This was the only minor problem as meetings are confidential

All Christmassy. Lovely reception staff. Upgrade to Priority room on the quieter side.
Excellent cooked breakfast.
Not such good cold breakfast selection.
Our room wasn’t dark. The curtains were not sufficient to block the security light just outside our window

The bed was super comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The outside of the Hotel looked lovely and it felt very festive.
The room was insanely dated. For £150 a night I expected a lot more than duck tape on holes in the ceiling, worn away carpets, flickering lights in the very old and worn bathroom, crumbs all over the carpets and several spiders around the room. I know you can’t account for insects, but they’re clearly getting in through the cracks and holes all around the dated room. The Gym was also very minimalist and the sauna wasn’t even hot. Couldn’t use the pool as it had swimming lessons going on.

The outside looks beautiful and the room was welcoming and bed was made nicely with towels etc all made by Iulia. Thank you!
The rooms are not updated they so need some refurbishing. But it was a great rate and I couldn’t ask for more.

All a bit tired and in need of modernisation, but still excellent value and comfortable.

Lovely building and room was ok, but the reception lady was lovely in the morning. Asset to the hotel.
The shower was very small with enough room to make it much bigger. The shower doors did not come together at all with a considerable gap. The tea and coffee tray was poor and the coffee was really not nice. We had a sandwich meal at the bar at night when we got there, and the sandwiches were dry like they had been made a considerable time earlier, or the bread had been left out. The car park was inadequate for the number of rooms and we struggled to park.

Comfortable bed. Nice grounds - good location. Nice breakfast.
Due to a wedding taking place, we were given an upgraded room. Unfortunately the room was very shabby, with dated decor eg carpet was so worn in areas there were large patches of holes, bathroom sink was blocked & needed unblocking, bathroom did not look professionally done. Generally felt room was not to the standards expected of a hotel let alone an upgraded room. This was mentioned to the receptionist. We were also disappointed with no afternoon tea available despite the full menu still being advertised on their website. Again this was mentioned to the receptionist.

The grounds of the hotel was beautiful. The lady's at the spa where polite and helpful. The reception bar was tidy average clean, bedding white and soft, bed comfortable, best part of the stay. Good ample parking, felt like a safe area. The room size was great (even if that's all you get for an upgrade) thankfully we paid a reasonable last min room rate but if I had paid the full rate I would have been completely devastated. Do wish I had saved the £16 on the upgrade. We thought we got a compete bargin and was sooo excited .... not really the case let down by reception team and rooms.
arrived at 1pm(we advised our arrival time in advance)we stood at reception for 25mins no one there to help manager in the office with the door open on and off his mobile ignoring guests clearly he was to busy to welcome or get help. No staff to be found anywhere guest laughing in bar about it being a 4 star hotel and we couldn't even check in. We gave up and asked another guest where the spa was and wonder there. Ladies at the spa very helpful and shocked to hear, they let us use the spa to kill time. The spa is very basic and given that you have to walk from the change rooms that are upstairs down like a communal stairs it may have been nice to touch to give flip flops & robe but no complaints here Overall ok and clean.
Went back to check in bout 2.30/2:45 now there was huge Que however a female manager now looks to be running the show and jumped on to help which was great. She was helpful and cleared the queue.
We got our keys and took the upgraded prestige room. The room itself was huge however we were disappointed no bigger bed just a double this why we wanted the upgrade. The rooms were all tired with paint peeling off and like crumbly walls, rooms was so Tired. bed was very comfortable, linen white & clean, very aged and not a 4 star. We chose his hotel as the grounds look beautiful but we got a lovely view of the car park. The heating on the hallway to the rooms was like a sauna. This meant that the rooms were so hot we left our windows open from the moment we got there and it meant that we had an uncomfortable night sleep because it was so hot. Everytime another room used the bathroom it was like steam train pulling its horn so woken multiple time in panic during the night, it was soooo loud! (Assume pipes)
Check out with Swift the lady on reception polite however I've just very much I drop Key go situation. we declined breakfast at £20 ahead as we had to be up early to hit the road

The price of nearly 200gbp wasn’t even close for the quality of room dated old small and generally just not good enough. The tv was tiny and poor the furniture old and dated. The bathroom sink if you turned the tap to much flooded the floor. Premier inns are of far higher quality for a considerably cheaper price. It was that poor of a standard I feel I should be due some form of refund.
Other than the staff everything was sub par standard and quality and when you take in the price paid it was really poor quality.
