Breakfast was excellent
The room let the hotel down.
No towel rail in the bathroom!
No mattress protector on the bed, a definite no no in hospitality!
Room was very cold, heater not working!

Turned up for breakfast late and they still served us food, never had that before usually they pack up just before time and saw them get the food back out for people after us. Thought the place was a great location, everything is nearby by foot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car park was full but there was paid parking right next to the hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Bog standard hotel room. Easy to get to the things in Sheffield that I needed to get to.
Dated decor, which would have been fine by itself, but it felt like the mattresses hadn't been changed in decades. Weird dip in mine meant I didn't sleep very comfortably. Room doors are made of what seemed sonically like cardboard, so I could hear the exact conversations of both the people in the corridor outside and the adjoining room next door. Heating was uncontrollable despite having dials (olllld style storage heaters), which meant it was freezing when we went to bed and roasting early in the morning. Bath-shower grout could have been cleaner. No plug sockets at the bedside tables for devices. Overall just needs a big refresh to be worth the money I paid.

Restaurant room very pleasant and breakfast very good.
Bedroom and bathroom functional but very tired and dull

Decent sized room
One of the towels have red stains looked like blood, the remote didn’t work properly for the TV, one of the pillows had a stain on it .. when you pay money for a room you don’t want the towels and pillows stained

Nothing really
Parking is a nightmare
Very confusing road layout to enter hotel. Arrows on a road to exit Hotel point to an old road which has a high kerb and path and is not an exit can easily damage the front of a vehicle lucky I have a 4x4 or would have smashed the front balance of my car.
No atmosphere at all in the bar area.
Rooms are cold heating doesn’t work on the electric panel wall heaters.

Not a lot
Went to our room it was Baltic some one had left the window wide open and no heating in the room we was allocated another room after staff checked the Baltic room we found the furnishings very well used and quite shabby, the room was only heated by a small wall heater, the room was quite cool but adequate, we didn't bother with any food , so can't comment, we wouldn't book this hotel again

The breakfast was great.
We stayed in room 401, it is right next to the exit door which was slamming at all hours, even on a Thursday night, I did not get much sleep.

Breakfast was okay but the full English option was not worth an extra £5. The has hash browns were just diced pototate everyday, only scrambled egg, budget sausages and streaky fatty bacon.
The general food options and pricing.

Close to area we neede
Desperate for upgrade, old electric heaters that only worked when in room. 90 % of decor must be 30 yrs old

Nice clean but due to a damaged window and poor quality window frames the wind was make it very draftee in room heating was not brilliant
Breakfast was priced at seven pounds and the food was average it would be better to charge more and do a quality breakfast it’s the start of your day so surely quality would improve your day

Bar staff friendly
Dirty, appliances did not work in room, damp in bathroom, sink blocked, mould in shower.
Cold room & king bed two singles pushed together.
Paper thin walls could hear everything all night.

Warm welcome by reception, room was comfortable and spacious, the double bed was very comfortable. After morning exercises went for breakfast. The food and drinks were well laid out. Everything I needed for a hearty breakfast was there.
Nothing, in fact I liked everything.
8.0 / 10.0
I really like the room - it wasn’t the typical box shape you get normally for this budget. And the bed was pristine and very comfortable.
Its location. It was technically in the city centre but off the beaten track. Very few taxi drivers could find it.
7.0 / 10.0
Comfortable and value for money given location. Car park right outside and reasonable prices. Staff were friendly.
Bed sheet and one towel had staining on it. Lights were ok but could do with one in main sleeping area.

Decent for a short stay.
Huge thanks to Graham (guest experience manger)
He was a one man armada, running the bar, waiting on and cooking meals all on his own and delivered outstanding service
Rooms basic (and a bit dated)
Parking fee feels a bit steep for hotel residents

I had an extended family of probably 20 people in all the rooms around me. They came back at 2.45 in the morning and spent the next 3 hours going between rooms slamming doors talking loudly until 6 am. I had a swim competition where I had to get up at 6:30. This was BOTH nights. Although this was not a Best western fault the paper thin walls and zero sound proofing. Maybe some consideration signs. The zero lack of respect these days is astonishing. So if you were in rooms 512,513 or around there you are utterly selfish.
The lack of sleep

Friendly staff and good location
Extremely dated room, only half the lights worked . Electric work was outdated ( kettle, radiator, TV ) should have been retested but was out of date.
Plaster falling off ceiling. Very dusty .
Room not cleaned between nights

Location, bed and space in bedroom
Overall the cleanliness was great and I felt very comfortable, but there was a little grime around where the plug chain attaches and also the tile grout was a little discoloured from shower spray. It would have cleaned up at least somewhat - I cleaned some of it.
Bit dated but I like the lower price.

Bar area very uninviting, and lacking character.

Disabled parking close to entrance. Good size room, fairly quiet over night, clean bedding and ample towels available. TV and hot drink facilities.
Additional bed was rather narrow for my disabled daughter, and thin mattress however double bed was very large and she slept with us for some of the night.

Ballast wasn't inc in price
Inexperienced bar staff initially.
