Booked a single room for one night for £50. Was informed beforehand that the lift was broken and there was no breakfast, so that was fine. This place is a work in progress, as the owners are clearly doing some much needed rennovations. The room was tiny but very clean, with a nice balcony over looking the front towards the sea. Managed to park just outside on the street. Overall, £50 was a reasonable price. If you want luxury this is not for you, but if you want a bed and a clean bathroom, it is fine!
Not a particularly friendly welcome, had to wait for him to stop checking his phone before he spoke to us!

Good location, easy check-in .free parking right outside .huge room. Clean and comfortable, and good to have tea and coffee making facilities .
Nothing really, if i were to be picky, the pillows were too firm for me, but I always take my own .
There is no glass to drink from .

The location is ideal for a short stay in Skegness, the hotel is well within a pleasant stroll to the main seaside part of the town and its amenities. The only person/hotel staff we met was very friendly and tried her best to help. Room was spacious, and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was dated and tub needs renovation, but the shower was hot. But that's about it I am afraid in our experience:-(
We had booked a room with sea view.......well if you used a lot of your imagination, and you were tall enough you could spot a glimpse of the sea behind tree and roof tops. I found the availability of "free parking" slightly misleading as it is free parking so long as there are parking spaces in the street adjacent the hotel. There were none when we arrived and we ended up having to pay the large car park near the hotel. Furthermore, if you are in the pay and display car park, you need to make sure you are up before 8a.m. to drive out of the car park or purchase another ticket. Finally, according to the Booking.com description of the "amenities" of this hotel under the tab "food and drinks" there should have been a kitchen open between 8.30 and 10 a.m. to serve food. There was nothing, restaurant is closed, no food at all, no bar, not even a vending machine in sight. Daily housekeeping was also disappointing, room was not clean, bin not emptied, bed was not made, not even clean cups for tea and coffee to replace the ones we had already used:-( I feel bad about writing a negative review but to be honest, for the price we paid for two nights, the whole experience was extremely poor.

Stated that the property had free parking. Not true. The only parking was on the street and shared with everyone else on the street and was all used up so had to go to an inconvenient paid carpark a long walk away.
The street it is on is very dirty with rubbish and dirty nappies on it so not a great area.
There were no obvious signs of staff there accept during check in. When we got back to the hotel in the early evening, there was a woman sleeping in one of the corridors. She said she had locked herself out of her room. She was still there a few hours later, but had moved around the corner into a different bit of corridor. Not clear if she really had locked herself out, and could not get anyone to let her in, or whether she had just gotten into the building and was sleeping there without permission. Neither of these options are remotely good.
I was there with my Son and his pregnant partner. She was really quite nervous about staying there with someone in the corridor over night.
The family room that my Son and his partner stayed in was OK, but the single room that we also booked was by far the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. There was barely room to move around the single bed in the room, and the on suite shower room looked like a bad DIY job rather than something professionally fitted.
Information on booking.com says "Breakfast is served in the property’s spacious dining room, whose features include a vinyl record player, a piano and a games machine. For the evenings, Yellow Mountain has its own licensed bar, with a flat-screen TV and satellite sports channels.". In actual fact, there is a sign saying "Restaurant closed on the door of the dining room" and no bar open so not an accurate description.
We booked this place as it was a last minute decision to stay in Skegness for the Saturday night and it was one of the few places still available near the attractions.

The room and bed were comfy the shower was too, but I could have done with a bath mat when I'd come out of the shower
Was a bit noisy outside the hotel as we'd come back a little earlier than anticipated.

Fair price, not too noisy.
Couldn't park due to anyone being able to use the hotel's parking spaces
Tiny room
Bathroom was tiny with the sink in the bedroom itself
No breakfast facility
Extension lead in the room for the bedside lamp was a tripping hazard
7.0 / 10.0
Free parking
Clean room and bathroom
Shower was powerful
Big bedroom
Obviously being refurbished which is nice
No lift .. stairs are very steep… friend has mobility issues
Hotel felt lifeless not homely like the others I have stayed in
They have a restaurant which could serve breakfast .., have to walk to find breakfast and they are bit out of the way
Windows were extremely dirty not nice to look out of
When checking out wasn’t asked initially how we were and how was our stay but as handing over keycard was asked to leave a good review .. think they need to work on their customer service .. I gave the feedback above to them as if it’s the first hotel they’ve managed there is room for improvement

We were a bit dubious about the stay because of reviews. But we found the hotel clean and had everything we needed. Very happy with our stay for the price. Girl on reception was friendly and helpful.
Will definitely stay again

I really enjoyed our stay at Yellow Mountain Hotel! Everything was clean, tidy, and quiet – perfect for a relaxing break. We’re a family of four with 2 kids under 3 and had a spacious family room(no10,first floor) that was just right for us. The hotel is in a great location, with a lovely short walk to the beach. It was also very affordable, which is always a bonus. The lady at reception was really nice and welcoming. We were a bit sad that we only stayed for one night – would definitely book again and recommend it to friends!
Room had a kettle, coffee ,sugar, milk and tea,a big fan perfect for the scorching weather. Nice shower gel and shampoo, also the tv was wide enough for the room not expecting such a quality one.
Lovely stay!!
Many thanks

We've been for 2 weekends in a row the one last week was not booked but was a better room.
Smaller room on the 28th June which we had originally booked for only 1 towel for 2 of us ,mentioned there private parking yet none or no breakfast which also specified there was breakfast at the property.

The, owner was, friendly
When we booked it advertised breakfast included and a bar, price included, breakfast, there was, non of the above, and no real apology from the owner
During the day if we were out often on returning the door was, locked so we had to ring to get in.
There was, no cleaning of the room for the full week we were there, had to ask for clean towels, toilet rolls, etc. Definitely should not be rated as, a hotel.

The hotel and room was exactly what i expected for our 1 night stay and was amazing for the price. Everywhere was newly refurbed/painted so came across very clean and welcoming. We had everything we could need and the lady was super friendly, chatting to my young children and ensuring we could contact her anytime if we did find we were lacking anything. I sometimes worry staying with young ones at smaller places like these with the noise and behaviour children can sometimes show but i had no worrys here, felt very welcome. I am 30 weeks pregnant currently so will return in the future with baby number 3! :)

Very nice and tidy hotel and room!!! Close to the sea side! Parking places and town facilities!!! I would love to stay here again!
4.0 / 10.0
Room had pleasant sea views.
Bed quite comfortable.
Property appears to be undergoing renovation by a new owner.
No reception as such, just a caretaker type man giving out door keys.
No breakfast offered at present.
Hot water was not available, for which no apology was given. Probably entitled to a partial refund for that at least!

do not stay here. the hotel closed without telling paying customers,we turned up to a closed hotel and had to hunt for another hotel on the day we were there. we had already booked here for another day. and they are refusing to refund us because they think they will be open. why would anyone want to stay after that
hotel closed without informing paying customers disgusting
