A great little hotel in Desenzanobdel Garda!

I was pleasantly surprised how amazing this hotel was. It was super clean and the bed was so comfortable. The room was large and the washroom had so many clean towels and a large shelf to place toiletries. I only stayed one night but wished I could have stayed more. I loved my short stay at Hotel Moniga.

Great location, good room size and clean

Location was walking distance to train station and all restaurants and stores in Desenzano del Garda. Also close to ferry terminal and beach. Room was a good size and very clean.

Mattress too soft so rolled towards middle of bed. Shower water pressure was a bit low. Woken by cleaner trying to get into room on the first morning at 8am, then 9 and again at 10. She was very persistent. There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign so we made our own and stuck to outside of door. Problem solved! 😅

The stay at the Hotel Moniga was very pleasant and nice. The hotel is located in the center literally a few steps from the market and Lake Garda. Very comfortable bed, neat clean rooms, delicious breakfast served in the bar downstairs! I highly recommend staying here during your stay in Desenzano.

Welcoming

The hostes was very friendly and very accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable and there is a lift which helps if you have heavy bags. They have a bar downstairs with fabulous coffee and the location is basically around the corner of the all the shops and restaurants.

I liked the location.

Breakfast is a bit poor to be honest. The owner is a little reserved and unfortunately there are no storage options in bathroom or room. 5 wire hangers is a little low for 2 guests in holiday.

The location is amazing and what you’re mainly paying for. Staff was nice even though they didn’t speak much English. Only annoying thing was that the cleaning lady came in twice at 10am when we were still sleeping in and she didn’t understand what we were saying. There were no signs to indicate if one was in their room or not.

Great stay in Desenzano

Lovely owners that are helping where they can. Rooms were nice and clean, location just in the city center and steps away from the lake. Breakfast was also good, particularly if you appreciate a good cappuccino.

Great location, not so great service

great location right in the center, everything within walking distance; room was really nice and everything was new and clean.

I booked a room with breakfast – and when I checked in I was told there’s no breakfast available. Then you shouldn’t offer the breakfast option. In the end, it wasn’t a big deal, because there are plenty of small cafes within 5 min walk (best and cheapest was “Dolce Caffe”). Reception wasn’t staffed from Sunday to Thursday. Room was cleaned only every other day; which again is not a big deal – but I just expected something else. Cleaning staff put my sleeping shirt inside the wardrobe (instead of just putting in on the bed or so) – which is an absolute no-go in my opinion. Air condition wasn’t working until the last day. Since no one was at reception, I couldn’t tell anybody.

Relaxing mini-break

Excellent location close to the lake and also the town. Was easy to walk to from the train station. There is a bar connected to the hotel with tables both inside and outside. As a solo traveller, I felt safe staying here and also walking around at night. I was able to leave my bags on my last day and the lift was a bonus!
