Probably the best choice in Desenzano

Excellent location, authentic interior, nice atmosphere, comfortable rooms, very good breakfast. The staff provided us a parking place exactly near the hotel so it was extremely comfortable - I don’t believe it’s possible in a high season but we were lucky))

Beautiful and hospitable stay in Desenzano

The staff were incredibly lovely and accommodating. Came and collected us from the train station and dropped us off too. It’s right by the harbour and perfectly located for exploring Lake Garda (including right opposite the ferry and boat hire).

It’s a little bit dated in the attic rooms but comfortable.

The property was located in midst of center center so it was super easy to reach all of the top spots. The staff was very helpful, room was perfect, AC was super great and breakfast was excellent. Such great history of the hotel mixed with luxury!

Wonderful week totally chilling!

The property sits in the best possible location in Desenzano. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. I noticed some previous reviews comment that the hotel is in need of renovation but I have to disagree. The decor adds to the romance of the hotel which is steeped in history. Everywhere in the hotel is spotlessly clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and the stunning Desenzano resort.

NO Wi-Fi in the room and the spa is not free to use by guests as it is a separate entity. I wouldn’t choose it again

The location , fixing the bed when it broke . Staff were polite

There was no Wi-Fi in the room though it stated on booking.com that it should, I had to bring the reception guy to the room to convince them that no Wi-Fi or any internet ! Only in the lounge area, this cost me large amount of money using my uk data whilst in the room, no attempt to compensate or offer reductions for the lack of internet or any apology or any attempt to fix it . Very disappointing The spa is not included! €20 per person per use for the use of the pool only !

Its location was amazing. Staff were fantastic, helpful, friendly and breakfast was excellent.

It doesn't actually have an indoor pool as advertised. It has a small pool as part of the spa area which you have to pay to use. It doesn't have a gym either... just a bedroom it's four pieces of gym equipment. I think the advertising regarding these two things is very misleading to say the least.

Wonderful staff in both reception and breakfast. Location outstanding with gorgeous view from balcony straight out to harbour and lake. Room large and perfect for family of 4 with 2 single beds for teenagers.

We are very disappointed!!! Booking shouldn't take part in this misleading information about hotel

Im desappointed of the place we sayed in. I liked and I chosed the old historical building you presented in booking. Unfortunately the reception sent some of the guests to the beautiful promised building and sent us to the standard building in front of it. This isn't correct it's misleading and a break of the contract.

It's far located in an area with narrow roads . You have to drive 20 minutes frome the main road. The unique thing is the old beautiful castle that was presented at the web as "the hotel" but as mentioned this isn't the place we were told to stay in. We are very disappointed!!!¹

Great stay on waterfront in Desenzano

Location was excellent and staff very friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast and specially made coffee. View from our small balcony across the ferry dock and lake. Quiet at night. It was lovely to be picked up from the nearby railway station - thank you.

The location was amazing as it was close to ferries where you could go to other areas without any hassle.

The lack of plug sockets in the room. There were only 2 in the whole room. One was for the kettle and one for the fridge, which meant we couldn't charge our phones, battery packs, and watches at the same time. I had to wait for my friends to charge before I could charge mine which felt like a waste of time because if there were plug sockets on each sides of the beds, this wouldn't be a problem.

The day we arrived was some kind of marathon, road to hotel was closed, hotel staff didnt inform us, even though they knew Our car was parked not far from hotel, and we got ticket for 60€, just because of this misscommunication from hotel, was bad news for the first day Hotel parking is not for free, even baby cot is not for free, but in the booking it was mentioned (baby can stay for free), but where baby supposed to sleep? On the floor? Massage was amazing, but (!!!!) i couldnt move my head for one week (tomorrow is day 8, I still feel pain) my neck is destroyed, and i just wanted to relax at massage It would be nice if we have some water bottles in our room for free, i thinks this level hotel has to provide it Renovation is required in bathroom

Premium place in a great location

The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit and a large selection of bread and spread. The room was large and had a nice view. Internet stable and fast enough for video calls. Welcome drink in the bar is also a nice gesture.

Staff clearly is not comfortable speaking English. It's an Italian wide thing, but in such a premium place you would expect the hotel to recruit people that speak English on a good level.

not clarity on services: both in booking and website there is the indication of a fitness area which was not there… then the access to the spa is with additional cost and it was not mentioned. the facility was definitely not 4star and it was very cold. the door could close properly…
