Beautifully decorated hotel.

Don't know where to start...to sum it up everything was excellent. From the room, cleanliness, staff & breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated, big size room and the breakfast was phenomenal. The staff was very accommodating. Location was also great and close to the taxi/boats.

The stairs, however they helped us with our luggage's.

Very nice stay but poor first impression

This is the second time I visit this location. If you like the style shown in the pictures, the place delivers exactly as expected. Almost everything was fine. Breakfast was very good and tasty — it didn’t have the image of a large variety, but I found everything I wanted. The person who took care of us every morning was very kind and competent in answering all our questions. The location is very central, ideal for visiting the city and the surrounding areas.

We had a very unpleasant/strange situation. On the morning of our arrival, I received a standard message with directions and a question about our estimated arrival time (which I found very nice and appreciated). I replied to it. We arrived within the agreed time slot (7 pm–8 pm) and the door was locked. I rang the bell and waited about 5–10 minutes. I called the number from which I had received the message, but no one answered. Then I found two more phone numbers on the entrance door. I called the next number — still no answer. By now, about 20–30 minutes had passed with us standing on the street with our luggage. I called the third number on the door, and a lady answered, telling me in Italian that she didn’t speak English. She then passed the phone to a young man who came to open the door for us. He checked us in and showed us the rooms. This person was very well intentioned, but it was clear he was caught off guard and didn’t know he was going to have guests. That’s exactly how it felt — as if no one was expecting us to arrive. I understand they only have 5–6 rooms and maybe it’s not possible to keep the reception open all the time, but it is unacceptable for a guest not to be able to reach you for half an hour and be left standing outside with their luggage. What’s worse is that everything after that was very, very good — but that first impression left a black mark. On another note, this is already the second stay out of two when the street outside has been very noisy at night — to the point of waking us up (while sleeping with the window open).

Nice, antique style hotel in the heart of Desenzano, 2 min from the port to walk.

Cozzy. In castle style. Antique interior. Individual breakfast. The location is the top - in the heart of downtown on the lake.

Arrival is a problem because the location is in a pedestrian area. The parking is up the hill to climb, and if you have heavy luggage, it's tiring. The hotel is compact, and this results in having no lift in it. Communal services in the morning are so loud, waking from the noise of the trash truck was not the best experience.

The interior is nice and only this ,but the amenities are definitely not worth €320 per night!

Our room was on the top floor without an elevator, and it was quite difficult with the suitcases. The breakfast was poor, and it was also very hot in the common areas. On the first day we called for an iron but nobody answered, since there is no one at the reception, and on the second day we waited 2 hours because there is only one iron for the entire hotel. The interior is very nice, but the amenities are definitely not worth €320 per night!

Absolute perfection.

The rooms are the most stunning I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is spectacular. The beds were luxurious and comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful and prepare the most beautiful home made breakfast. The location is right in the centre .

The shower try can fill up quickly but that is easily managed and the stunning bathroom more than makes up for it.

Outstanding property with Excellent service!

Everything! The property has been decorated to the highest of standards with attention to detail both in the suite we stayed in (Contessina) and throughout the whole hotel. It was easy to communicate with Alessia before our stay and during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was outstanding! Lots of choice. Excellent service from Alessia and Sofia and the homemade cakes were delicious.

I generally dislike people using my Whats App without asking permission. I travel a lot and have literally thousands of interactions through work a year. When I suggested that the venue should explicitly ask about using my private WhatsApp I got an incredibly angry reaction.

Perfectly located hotel

The hotel is stunning and is a throw back to the decadent days of the 18th century. Alessia was an amazing host and couldn't do enough for us. She really made our stay special. The hotel is perfectly located within the town, which is full of restaurants, bars and shops.

The stairs. It says 3 flights on the website but it is actually 6 set of stairs. Also, as we were out of season the hotel bar was not open which was a shame.

Breakfast was very good. The location was great. However I am an 80 year old lady and my room was on the third floor with no elevator. Also, the room I was given had a bed on a second elevated level in the suite with the bathroom on the first level. This is impossible to navigate. The owner gave me another room, but only for two nights. I had paid for three nights. The room she gave me was only available for those two. I had to leave the hotel and check into another hotel. I would hope to be reimbursed for the lost night since it was the fault of the owner.

Beautifully appointed property. Central location

Stairs to the top floor (3 floors stone steps)are extremely difficult to navigate if you are older and have had issues with knees, hips or otherwise unsteady or breathing problems. This should be noted when you make a reservation. The top floor room also has a staircase to the bed and then stairs down to the bathroom which could be very dangerous in the night. I advise caution when booking this historic property.

Looks like a castle

The rooms look absolutely fantastic. It feels like we were in a castle. The hotel is also greatly located at the very center of Desenzano del garda. Finally, the owner Christina as well as Anna are very helpful and very sweet. My wife and I were on our honey moon and they offered us an aperitivo, that is very sweet and in accordance with their great kindness. The care of the owner for her hotel is very visible, by taking care of the furnitures and by the fact that they invited a duo to play jazz during diner. I believe the hotel is worth the price.

Small con, even if the breakfast is quite high level, I believe most visitors would appreciate to have more choice on sight.

Everything! Amazing decoration, antique style, full of details. The owner - Cristina - is at the reception to welcome you and make sure everything is at your taste. Cristina is the responsible for decoration and you can feel how much love she put into this project. Our room is like a doll’s house! We split so well… the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the mattress… everything co-exists to make you feel special. Breakfast is homemade and in a quiet, serene atmosphere. Whatever you decide to eat, will be a good choice! By far, the best experience with a hotel.

The staff were so helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable ans taken care of. The apartment was in a perfect location to access all the sights easily and still be nice and quiet to sleep at night. I appreciated the gluten free pancakes for breakfast - what a treat!

Really beautiful and excellent location

It was the best choice of our trip. Desenzano is in the same train line Milano-Venice so we chose that beautiful hotel because of its closeness to the train station and the shore of the lake, it was so easy to get in to a boat to know other towns of the lake and also to pick a train to travel to other cities within the same day. Also the hotel is truly beautiful and comfortable, service is excelente and for us was very valuable being able to have breakfast there to start out day. The hotel is located in the historical center, so is walking distance to shops, restaurants and piers.

The delicious breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The spread was impressive, with a wide range of options to choose from, including fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and more. The quality of the food was exceptional. The hotel's location in the center of Desenzano was ideal, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy the surrounding area. But what really made our stay truly special was the courteous and friendly service provided by the hosts Christina and Triis. They went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed and were always available to answer any questions or offer recommendations. Moreover, the hotel is very dog friendly.
