Modern and pleasant but slightly overpriced

Modern decor, very nice bathroom, great views, right on the lake shore, breakfast better than in similar hotels

Staff were not too friendly, receptionist lied to me about the parking options, trying hard to get me to pay a bit extra, before admitting there are free places 300 meters away, in fact they were much closer, buffet lady would not smile or answer hello, two single beds were so close to each other they looked like a double bed- this was not what I paid for, finally there’s a shameless russian flag on the flagpole in front of the hotel

Thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It was my second time at the Lido.

Breakfast was okay . All staff were exceptional ! The hotel has the best position by the lake!

There were no English TV Channels! When I booked a single room, I thought it would have a lake view. Some Paintwork looked very old & tired, so some updating needed.

Overall, an average hotel in an excellent location, with a good pool/sun lounging area.

Great location with short walk alongside the lake to Desenzano centre. Excellent breakfast if you went early. Housekeeping & bar staff very friendly & efficient. Outside space, bar and pool area were excellent when weather was good; otherwise bar was closed and it was used to store cushions etc

Our first floor lake view room unfortunately had a particularly small bathroom/shower and an extremely uncomfortable bed. Shower temp very variable when in use - very hot without warning. No inside bar/lounge area within the hotel. Fruits & pastries etc at breakfast not topped up without asking, so needed to go earlier than desired. Decor rather 'tired'. Overall did not feel it was good value for money.

There is no possible way that this is or could ever be a 4 star hotel, 1 star would be a push. The initial reaction when entering is a musty old smell. Rooms outdated. Room security questionable. At breakfast orange juice is an extra €5, boiled, fried. Scrambled or any egg variation is an extra €5 so if we want juice and eggs each it would mean dropping and extra €20. All this on top of a vastly overpriced room rate already

Perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the lake

We loved the Lake view, the helpful staff, the amazing pool and top nuts bartenders!

We had difficulty getting a taxi back to the train station, but apparently there’s just a shortage there. It’s a steep walk back but totally doable.

Beautiful location for romantic stay along lago di Garda.

Beautiful lakeside view, located within short walk to Desenzano city center. Nice room, pool and seatings with view over lago. Supportive and friendly staff.

Breakfast room is not really inviting, hence not in line with rest of nice hotel amenities. Breakfast is sufficient and includes nice fresh fruits, but home made pastry and white bread are quite dry with usually no brown bread. Sausages, eggs and bacon quite distasteful.

Dated facilities operated by amazing, dedicated staff.

The staff were wonderful! Always smiling, helpful, kind. From reception staff to cleaning staff, everybody was so accommodating, we felt genuinely welcome. Manuel the bartender shone every afternoon/evening and absolutely made our stay.

The pool area could be cleaner. Facilities need renovation.

Location on right on the lake is superb. Eating breakfast out on the terrace is a bonus. Rooms are a extremely clean and very comfortable.

Step onto balcony was not obvious and slipped on it repeatedly! Clear definition with paint or strip would be helpful.

Overall, the service made up forthe flaws and we woul return.

The Service is 5 Star. From front of desk to Barman, exceptional. And of course the location was gorgeous, especially sunset at the bar and morning terrace breakfast.

I like the retro look and charm, however some parts were too tired and worn. Some pavers were trip hazards. Also after seeing some other places, could be a tad overpriced. Also some of breakfast was not good, soggy tomato and dried cucumber slices.

In an excellent position. Few minutes into the centre and easy walk to the Railway station. Room was clean and it had wonderful view of the lake. Staff were all really lovely and friendly especially Stefano who was so helpful.

Lovely relaxing holiday.

Location perfect! Bed very comfortable and room kept very clean. Bathroom excellent and lovely towels. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good service in bar in the grounds in the evening, perfect for quiet drink watching sunset.

One tiny negative for us. There is no food available after lunchtime. This was declared upfront on website but when we visited in mid May some of nearby restaurants were not open every night. We did find an excellent restaurant nearby but only open weekends.

Absolutely perfect place to spend a few days. I didn’t want to leave.

Absolutely perfect location with great views of and access to the lake. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The hotel has a lovely old fashioned family feel to it that you don’t seem to get in modern hotels.

There were no power sockets next to the bed in my room. A very minor point I know.

Everything was great! Thanks Stefano for the room upgrade, now I had a room with a lake view 🙏 I couldn't even dream of it! This is the most beautiful view I've ever seen! I wanted to spend all my time on the balcony! The hotel is not far from the center, 5-7 minutes walk along the picturesque embankment, but there is no noise, so I was able to sleep well. also comfortable pillows and in general everything in the room works and is always clean! Delicious breakfast!

Staff very helpful and kind but not sure I will stay at Lido again

Close to town centre and local amenities. Very close to the lake and view is beautiful even though the view from the family room is a little blocked by the outdoor bar area.

Swimming pool and restaurant not functioning for the duration of my stay. A flood like light came on outside my room ( I booked the family room) on day4 of my stay and stayed on day and night. I spoke to one of the owners of the hotel who wasn’t very helpful and didn’t seem like he wanted to be bothered by the issue. The receptionist was however very helpful and he covered the lamp over night so I could get some sleep as the curtains in the room were not wide enough to cover the sliding doors. This was also an issue for me in terms of privacy.

Fabulous location right near the lake, with a pool.

A wonderful location on the edge of the boardwalk. The pool was wonderful. The bar was great and the guy running it was awesome; friendly, efficient and helpful. All the staff were similar, so very comfortable place to be. Our room was on the ground floor with a terrace that gave us a lakeside view. Loved the pool and the breakfast options were extensive.

Amazing views, terrace for very good breakfast, cleanliness, friendly staff, plenty of room round pool.

Bathroom ( room 52) was tiny. Shower difficult to get in as was so small, just don’t drop the soap!😂 I would think a large person would not be able to get in.
