Beautiful setting, spotlessly clean, friendly host, nice breakfast, low cost so below acceptable

Rooms 70’s style and dating - slight lacking in attention to detail in only one set of towels - advertised restaurant which looked like it had closed got the winter - also advertised on booking.com as ‘Last room’ “”Really”!! I question, perhaps the last two are down to booking.com, either was not helpful and miss leading

Great location ,calm and relaxing.

The our room was clean and well decorated. The grounds were lovely and the overall ambiance was calm and relaxing.

The breakfast was very good but the evening meal in the restaurant was very disappointing. Having your meal served in jars was not a great experience. The fish meal was bland and mushy but the slow cooked lamb dish was better . The presentation of both meals wasn’t to our liking. If we stay again We would definitely not eat at the Manoir sadly.

Disappointing

Breakfast reasonable but choice felt limited for a continental breakfast, The dinner from glass jars did not impress us and would avoid totally in the future. The room was adequate in size and the bed comfortable There was an old wardrobe which was adequate for hanging clothes but nothing else for clothes. None of the chairs in the room were comfortable and the table was too large for a limited space.. The shower room though adequately equipped was very small and you almost tripped over everything. Mobile heater worked very well and was necessary.

The owner was lovely and the building is beautiful. Everything was very clean and the beds comfy. There are small things that in my opinion let it down and that is it needs updating. It was a bit of a mis match, beautiful wardrobe, modern headboard, old curtains. It wouldnt take much for a quick spruce up, but i would stay again as all clean. Didnt try dinner or breakfast.

Beautiful property set in the countryside, buffet breakfast in the garden, spacious rooms. Excellent location for Chinon and to explore the chateaux.

Interesting place.. not that easy to find

Nice place surprisingly comfortable.. good location near to Chinon..A town we enjoyed. A 2 night stay over.. with adequate breakfast. Lashings of very hot water and mobile heating.

Shall we say it was very workable and obviously had seen some interesting times. Some updating would improve it but not really necessary for a short stay.

I have stayed at La Giraudiere on numerous occasions and have always found it good value.

A quiet and comfortable room, good parking and an excellent breakfast.

It's a shame that the on-site restaurant is no longer open as it provided excellent food at a reasonable price.

great stopover on family/friends biking holiday

Lovely old manor house with extensive grounds the children enjoyed playing in. Room with kitchenette & outdoor terrace was very practical for our 2 families. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere relaxed. Big bike shed for all our 8 bikes & trailer! Would def recommend for a stop en route if you are biking in the Loire. We would also record the superb municipal pool in Avoine (baby pool & brilliant slide!) as well as pizzeria l’Herozo where we had an excellent evening meal. thanks!

Perfect overnight location in a pretty tranquil setting.

We loved the tranquil setting, we could charge our electric car overnight, have a lovely breakfast outside on the terrace, and we had a lovely spacious room. The Logis is dog friendly. The only thing that could have made it better was if it had a restaurant on site as we were quite tired when we arrived. But it was only 4km to the nearest town for a quick supper and back to the Logis for a drink on the terrace. Would 100% recommend this place and we will definitely be back when we need a stopover on our way to southern France.

A restaurant for dinner would have been very welcome but this didn’t spoil our visit.

A characterful old manor with absolutely lovely staff, in a quiet rural position.

Happiest and most helpful, hardworking staff imaginable (if a little thin on the ground). Lovely old manor house in a very quiet location, with an excellent buffet breakfast. A pity the restaurant wasn't open, as the building and the courtyard terrace could have been idyllic.

As said, a shame the restaurant wasn't open - but considering the effects covid has had on the entire hospitality industry, the Manoir has survived better than many. It will really be worth a second visit when things hopefully return to normality.
