I am very fond of this hotel. Have stayed before. I particularly like the restaurant and bar.

The hotel was very helpful about checking in, etc. We were welcomed for a delicious dinner and breakfast was also very nice and staff very friendly. The hotel was helpful about our dogs staying with us and gave us a ground floor bedroom which was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of room for us and our dogs.

The bathroom was really cold and the floor had old ingrained dirt. It was a wet room and the water did spread far and wide. The pipe under the basin also dripped a small leak. The bathroom was a bit uncomfortable if I'm honest, which was a shame.

Nice old hotel

A nice old iconic hotel with Le Mans 24Hr memorabilia on display. The attraction of the hotel to classic car owners to the hotel was interesting to see.

The room was small with not a very nice view to the rear of the hotel. The restaurant was overpriced for what it was.

Very relaxing, a real home from home.

Room was very comfortable, the air conditioning made it even more so! Not many hangars for clothes but lots of storage. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and lots of choice. The food for dinner was well cooked and tasty, but as we stayed for a week and the menu didn't change (six mains to choose from) it was a bit limiting. The swimming pool was a revelation - very clean, quiet with lovely towels and a changing room.

As above - more coat hangars for the wardrobe. A few different choices for dinner could be an advantage.

Great location. Iconic hotel for all Motorsport enthusiasts Bedroom was spacious comfortable and brilliantly furnished. English speaking staff are friendly and very helpful. We always try to plan a stay at The Hotel de France when touring France.

Comfy bed, clean bathroom

Quite expensive ! Dinner in restaurant v expensive & no vegetarian option, even when I was encouraged to ask for one ! No welcome on arrival just a grumpy man who took us to our room . No niceties about our journey so far or have a nice holiday ! V odd !

The hotel is beautiful. The setting and the surrounding are charming. The room was comfortable, air conditioned (very important because of high temps) and well appointed. The pool and pool area and all the surrounds are fabulous. I could sit on that terrace for hours. The Restaurant is awesome. Ive run out of superlative's

Lovely historic place in pretty market square

Beautiful room. Spacious and clean. Bathroom a little small but it is adapted from an old building. Lovely dining room and excellent food.

The owner was gruff and off hand but all the other staff were polite and friendly. The big let down was breakfast. Very poor value for money. There is more choice and higher quality at an ibis hotel. We would have used the Boulangerie across the road if they had served coffee and had tables and chairs.

An excellent French hotel, that is well located with a restaurant on site.

We stay here every time we drive through France. It meets all our needs as a family of four, travelling with two small dogs. The staff are super helpful, the family rooms are great and there is a restaurant on site. The restaurant is always busy and frequented by locals. They are able to cater for me as a coeliac and the staff understand about cross contamination etc.
