Great place to stay

Abi was the perfect host she couldn't do enough for us. Alot of choice for breakfast, we had the cooked breakfast which was really nice. Room was nice size and very clean. Great location and easy to get to the beach/town and restaurants. Abi allowed us to book in early and also stored our luggage for us for the rest of our last day. Unfortunately only met Andy upon collecting luggage. Very dog friendly, with dog towels and accessories if needed and also a, sausage for the fur baby at breakfast. Comfy bed and fans available in the room for when it's hot. Would stay here again highly recommended.

It was very hot the first night of our stay due to the weather, which made it difficult for us to sleep, we did use both the fans which helped but being an old property and on the second floor it was to be expected. We think the shower system could be linked to the other rooms as the temperature kept going from being nice and warm to extremely hot.

Highly recommend The Belmont!

Abi was an amazing host right from booking through to our stay. Great communication and couldn’t do enough to help. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice. The rooms have everything you need and Abi is on hand to advise you on where to go and what to do.

It’s only a small thing, but the rooms are very sound proofed so you can hear people outside your room.

Abi was so friendly and made us feel very welcome with our 3 little dogs. The whole B&B was geared up for dogs and we could really relax and enjoy our break. The room was super clean and comfortable and we were walking distance to the sea front and all the restaurants and attractions.

Amazing place to stay !

We had the apartment in the attic and it was absolutely beautiful! It smelt lovely as we walked in. It was so clean it sparkled. There was a folder in with everything we needed to know. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. There were plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The beach was a short walk down the street. The hosts Abi and Andy were so hospitable, nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend staying here. We are definitely going back for another stay.

Absolutely fantastic couple….Abi and Andy made us feel very welcome and the bonus was being able to take our 4 legged friend with us. The room was spacious and with everything we needed. Breakfast was to die for will plenty of choice

More than satisfied with all aspects of the Belmont.The owners went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The rooms were so clean and everything we wanted was to hand. The breakfast was simply great and served quickly.Would like to return soon and would have no problems recommending as everything was so good.and what a great welcome to our two dogs they were really looked after. Jan and AL mid Wales thank you so much Ali and Andi .for making our stay so pleasant.

the minute we got there they were helpful . found out they are dog friendly towels by the door water bowls treats and toys to play with .you can top up your beverage supplies and toilet rolls in a special cupboard in reception so if you need in the night it’s there . Alexa I every room overall a very thoughtful couple to cater for your every need . plates and cutlery were in reception so if you had a takeaway it was catered for

The chilled environment that was needed.

Lovely hosts. Excellent facilities. Exceptionally dog friendly. Dog towels, treats and toys. My Labrador loved the loaned teddy bear. Off road parking even though we brought our campervan. Guided in expertly! Without doubt would stay there again, which we will as we totally loved Torquay.

Amazing place!

This place was amazing. Abi and Andy were fantastic they couldn't do more for you. We had such an amazing room we stayed in the christy suite which had a kitchen, lounge, bedroom with enquire. Most fantastic breakfast I'd say prob one of the best places we've ever stayed We will definitely be returning x

A lovely stay in a quaint b&b

it was really sweet and reminded me of b&bs I stayed in as a child. timeless, pretty, comfortable and spacious rooms, welcoming owners. they provide everything you need in a room! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends wanting to visit Torquay.

sound does travel in the building, one night someone was very noisy in their room above us which kept us up a bit, but it was just one night and I put my earphones in and went to sleep. the owners also left earplugs in the drawers for us to use if we wanted! it does also say in the welcome email to keep it down after a certain time of night so I imagine most people staying won’t be so noisy.

The new owners deserve every success!

The bedroom was flawless, exactly as it looks on the website and the entire property beautifully presented inside and out. The bed and bed linens were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! The owners were so friendly and kind, going above and beyond providing useful local information. The location is fantastic (can see the sea at the end of the road) and the collection of pamphlets / black book, etc. on local attractions absolutely made our weekend. So many hidden gems in there! Impressed by the provision of board games and things downstairs, as well as the fantastic tea tray in our room - such attention to detail.

The shower tray filled up fast and was slow to drain, but could potentially be very easily fixed. I love that this hotel is dog friendly, but am not always great with dogs I don’t know, so in hindsight would’ve preferred to take breakfast in my room if possible.
