Jill Hotel Brussels

The location of the hotel is just perfect! The staff were very friendly and spoke English well, so we had no issues communicating. The room itself was a decent size and very clean, and the bathroom was good as well.

The walls, however, were not very well soundproofed — on one of the nights, I could hear other guests. The breakfast was okay, but there wasn’t much variety, and I especially missed having some vegetables.

Clean and quiet, staff are quite nice.

THE ROOM STINKS! IT SMELLS A MIXTURE OF CHEAP PERFUME AND SMOKE! There was 50 50-euro smoking deposit, which is okay. However, the room is filled with a smoky smell once I enter. Opening the windows for hours wouldn't help. The cushions and pillows are SOAKED in cigarette smoke， especially the blue cushions. I asked the staff to change one pillow that doesn't have the smoke smell, and it ended up with a cushion in a pillow case. I am not sure why, but the room I stayed in on the 3rd floor was just full of this unpleasant smell. So if you are sensitive about smell, RUN!

Very handy for Brussels midi. Friendly staff and clean. Large room and comfortable bed. Good that you can get a drink downstairs after long day of delays on the train!

Bathroom was tiny compared to room size and design made it tricky getting in and out of shower. As with most hotels - lack of something in shower for shampoo bars, and no surfaces in bathroom for products.

we booked a TWIN Deluxe room but only got a double (without any rebate, just a "sorry") There is lot of noise from the nearby railway station during the night Night manager was "friendly" but unfortunately the poor chap was not trained for the job, needed to make a video call with someone and the other person directed his check-in through a camera on his phone. There was a queue for the check in lat at night (because of a train that was cancelled) and it took him more than an hour to give out the (pre-booked!) rooms for those waiting.

Close to Brussels-Midi. Very clean room and well maintained. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming especially Corrine, the girl who also at the desk after Corinne and the guy who was on duty when we checked out (around 5.30 a.m.)

They remembered us. We have stayed here about 9 months ago & I have stayed there about 4 months before that. The location suits us as it is close the railway station which is also a bus, tram & Metro station. So even though you aren’t in the centre, it is very easy to get to where ever you want to go.

There isn’t anything we don’t like. If you are a couple with 2 large bags each, the rooms might be a bit small.

Was told the property had recently had a renovation! The property looked funky with up to date decor, clean and flawless. Location was also great right near the train/coach/metro Midi station! There’s a local market on every Sunday which is great to see 24 hours reception, key card access to building after hours and for the lift! Super secure! Free iron and board use when needed. In room fridge. Free room refreshments. Blackout curtains

Outstanding hotel. Super clean, very well maintained and decorated. Had a great time, breakfast was amazing. The staff super helpful. Kudos to Chanese who really helped us. Walking distance from the main tourist center and in front of the main train station

Both hotel reception and room (Deluxe Double Room - numbered 8 at the back of the hotel up a flight of stairs off reception) was clean and felt safe. Hotel is close to Brussels Midi Train Station - 4 min walk.

* There was noise of building work coming from an an adjoining space until after 10pm. * There was a safe physically placed in our room, but it's not one I'd want to use. The batteries, user manual, and screws to secure it were in the cavity, but the safe lock wouldn't operate, and the safe could be moved around by hand as it hadn't been secured into anything. It had been there some time, as there was a layer of dust on top of it. * WiFi didn't work in the room unless you held your device near the window to the courtyard. Also, they are using UniFi equipment with the Guest Access Portal functionality, but they haven't installed a valid SSL certificate and so they WiFi connection process flakes out. If you turn WiFi off and on again, and then it reconnects, this helps it get past the last step. * The Booking.com listing mentions soundproofing - but that doesn't really exist. We were in room 8 which is up some steps and off a corridor from the breakfast room next to Reception. We heard Reception talking most of the night; we heard our neighbour come in at midnight, have a shower, bodily noises heard. all through the adjoining wall - may as well have been no wall between us; We heard the hotel team very clearly with them either setting up for breakfast or unloading a dishwasher at 1:10am. * Pillows - they looked puffy, but deflated to a thin layer, offering no support. Mattress felt comfy though. * An air conditioning unit was wall mounted on our room, but we switched it on and it didn't do anything other than open it's vent. We'd left it switched on in case it was doing something, and were surprised to get some cooling air once our neighbour in room 7 came back at midnight and presumably put their room key in the slot to activate electricity to their room (and hence our air con unit). * Fire alarm went off at 6:20am for 20 seconds. * No covers over cold items at breakfast - plenty of flies buzzing around them.

I would not stay here of my main reason was yo visit Brussels as it is too far from the centre but excellent base from which to catch an early morning Eutostar.

The location is close to the station.

They have BED BUGS and I have several bites all over my legs, arms and hand and wouldn't recommend for anyone to stay because of it. The bed had STAINS on it. The previous rooms they gave me had CIGARETTE BURNS all over the bath, walls and window sills. Also the wall paper PEELING. There was DUST and DIRT everywhere.

Room was decent size, and decent location. Late checkout offered.

Building is very old, can hear people walking in the level above. Room and bathroom not very clean. Very old fashion and outdated rooms and floor.

The place is undergoing extensive renovation work, in short it should not be open. There was no breakfast available, nothing in the room, you would think they could at least put a complimentary bottle of water and a glass to drink from. They seemed more preoccupied with getting 50 euros from customers to cover a “ fine” if you smoked in the room. This was pathetic certainly will not stay there again.

The hotel is being refurbished and the ground floor is a building site. At first we thought the hotel wasn’t operating. From a safety point of view the hotel shouldn’t be open. The temporary entrance/exit for guests was obstructed by building materials and workmen. No tea and coffee making facilities in room.

The location of the hotel is convenient for MIDI Station, but there are lots of street people about, so not a comfortable experience for a solo traveler. This was made worse by the hotel front being totally covered in scaffolding and plastic sheeting so you couldn’t see who was lurking outside the entrance.

The hotel is a building site, walls are being knocked through and apart from the breakfast area there are no public spaces fit to use. While the staff are doing a marvellous job of keeping the cement dust down, the dust still gets tracked into the bedroom/corridor. The bedroom was seriously in need of renovation, cracked tiles and mildewed seals in the bathroom, and so dark that you could hardly see to read - made worse by the scaffolding and plastic sheeting outside the window. Building noise started early, even during breakfast so definitely not a relaxing stay.

Overall, the service is impressive, but its elevated price tag is a significant drawback that may limit its accessibility to a broader audience. Finding a more competitive pricing strategy or offering discounts could help address this issue.

The smell as one entered the hotel, musty and damp smell, smacks you in the face. Also no central heating there was a plug in heater which was not switched on, considering it winter and it was a precooked room. Bathroom was not clean hair and some stain in the wash basin Carpet grimey
