It’s ambience and space
The surrounding area was quite dirty and garbage all around the street

Good value for money. Breakfast was excellent - fresh bread and fruit every day, and cheese and butter topped up when necessary.. Friends told us that we should have avoided the area close to Gare du Midi, but we had no problems.
The apartment is only on the first floor, but stairs are steep. Instructions on how to use the TV would be useful
A couple of repairs need doing - the bathroom door handle is broken and the chair needs repair or at least a cushion.

Our host met us at the door and help us with our luggage. He showed us the apartment and how everything worked. It was clean, comfortable and very quiet. We only had one night unfortunately, in the morning he delivered fresh bread for breakfast and fruit.
