Great but could be better!

- The location is great, very close to the city center and the train station - The staff was very helpful and nice - The room was cozy and looked good

- The bed was very bad, had two mattresses that were soggy, and placed on a frame that had no edges so the only thing keeping them together was the bed linen, so they moved all the time leaving gaps in the middle - The pillows were like sleeping on crumpled clothes - The floor was a bit dirty

The room was beautiful, and it was so close to the train station and the main strip in La Spezia. The train station is so close it was the first time on our month and a half trip that we walked from the train to our hotel. We were also grateful there were no stairs to get to the room! The train station was so close we weren’t disappointed to be away from the beach— as it was 15-25 minutes on the train(depending on the train you book) to Monterosso and one stop away from Riomaggoire. The staff was incredible. The room was so clean and decorated so beautifully. Shampoo and body wash were included in the shower.

We were on the main level of the street— which I believe all the rooms in the hotel are. We faced the Main Street, which made things a little noisy( although not a large street, but if you need absolute quiet to sleep, that might not be the case) and with the window cracked open you felt like people could stare into your room— but not massively as there was a way to close it and blinds to cover the windows (although they were fogged). We did have a mini fridge although it didn’t keep anything cold. We didn’t mention anything as we weren’t really that bothered but thought it was worth mentioning. Although small thing, but you only get cable tv— sounds so silly but as we have moved across Italy we have learned that this isn’t necessarily the standard. Although this is something we encountered through most of Italy— the “king” bed is two twins; someone will eventually slip into the ‘crack’ so cuddling is reducing until it’s sleeping time lol.

The main advantage is its location

Its close proximity to La Spezia Centrale train station is a great convenience for getting to Cinque Terre. The staff are very helpful.

The windows in the rooms we stayed in were frosted, so we couldn’t get any daylight. The shower cabin was very small. The rooms felt stuffy.

Fantastic central location next to station, beautiful room but communication very poor

Fantastic location. 5 minutes away from the station, so very easy to get to Cinque Terre. Also 20 minutes walk from harbour to pick up ferry

Firstly, I E-mailed a week before arrival to ask if we could leave our luggage on day of arrival as check-in wasn’t until 3pm….. Response several days later was ‘yes dear’ and no more than that. We arrived around 1.30pm and found the apartment but had to lose ourselves as we couldn’t check in or leave bags. At 7 minutes past 3pm we received a message to ask if we had arrived and, if so, we had to go to a different address. It was only 5 mins away but more notice would have been good and we could have gone straight there. Secondly, although there was a coffee machine with two pods, we had to purchase more for 1 euro each. This wasn’t a problem, the problem was that the coffee pod machine was broken and although reported, wasn’t fixed so for 2 mornings, we didn’t have coffee.

The apartment is conveniently located just 3 minutes from the train station. However, it’s quite noisy due to constant street and traffic sounds throughout the day. The room feels very dated—the bathroom heating rack was dusty, the linens were worn and in need of replacement, and the towels didn’t smell fresh. There was also a leak from the bathroom ceiling, though it was addressed and fixed promptly. The front office is closed from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. I messaged the day before with our arrival time but received no response. We arrived at 2:00 PM to find the office closed and no information provided for temporary parking. I called the contact number and about 10 minutes later, Electra returned my call and kindly gave us access through video instructions and door codes, which I really appreciated. Overall, this was not a pleasant 2-night stay, and I would not choose to return.

A comfortable place to stay & a great base to explore the towns of 5 Terre.

Communication prior to check in was very efficient and in good time. The instructions about how to check in including a video were such a good idea! The room was clean, comfortable with good facilities such a a fridge and kettle. A good location for us as we arrived by train and it was a 5 minute walk.

Comfort and convenience

The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is within a short walking distance of the railway station- so it is a great location if you want to take the train to Cinque Terre. Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated- with a great shower!

Wonderful Stay

The room was newly renovated and lovely. Quiet, clean and very comfortable bed. Location was close to the train station and the main street with lots of restaurants and shops. Even had a small balcony to sit outside. Really liked the coded doors rather than a key card or key to get into the building and room.

The shower was a bit tight. There was a sauna which seemed like a waste of space. Would have preferred a bigger shower rather than a sauna.

Good location, clean and good for short stay!!

The room is clean, spacious, bright enough. It comes with air conditioner so it good for those going to visit during summer. For the location, it is really good if you are for short stay and going to the 5 villages. The train station is about 100-200m away from the hotel. The staffs are very good, she put initiative & texted me a day before to confirm my arrival. Thumb up for their service!

The bed is too soft. I cant remember the names of the room that we stayed. Our group occupied the whole 5 rooms at the ground. For our room, the bed is still ok but a lot of my friends mentioned the bed is too soft.

Everything was perfect in our room, the bed super comfortable. The host Elettra she was very kind and explained us a lot about cinque terre. Giving us advices about transport and some good places to eat. Le 5 terre la spezia is a great option to stay and visit Cinqueterre.

I choose this property ax it was conveniently close to the train station and offered a good value for the type of accommodation.

We didn’t have a soap one night, another it was fixed on the wall and fell at night as it was poorly assembled.

I would recommend!

Excellent location, very close to train station and town centre. Erica&Elettra are very kind and friendly. The guide they prepared for the guests is so helpful. Room is very clean and good size. Price was also reasonable.

The only downside was that our room was literally in the reception and you hear people talking early in the morning. Check out is also very early but this was okay for us.

Doorstep of La Spezia Centrale, great location

This hotel is on the doorstep of La Spezia Centrale station, which enabled me to hop from one Cinque Terre village to another in 5 mins. The host was an absolute sweetheart, with a huge infectious smile, she was really accomodating. She suggested places to visit which really helped, provided a map and train timetable too. Loved my room (named Corniglia). The room, bathroom and bed were clean, with gorgeous decor that added a personal touch. The host even allowed me to check in at 12 because my room was ready with no extra charge.

The only downside (no fault to the hotel) is you have to go through a tunnel to walk to the hotel, but the hotel itself feels safe.

Ideal base for exploring Cinque Terre

Hosts were super friendly and helpful, we received plenty of information about Cinque Terre on arrival. They sent detailed information prior to check-in via whatsapp and even let us print train tickets in their office. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect base for travelling Cinque Terre as its so close to the train station!
