Excellent Property!!

Booked 2 nights.... Had to stay a third it was such a great place in the most beautiful location. Front desk great. Best Hotel I ever stayed at! Just left 5 star Sofitel in Munich and this place was far better than that!!

Made our few days there memorable.

The hotel was very comfortable and is a superb location both for the town and exploring the area. The staff were so helpful and could not take enough trouble to solve your problem. The rooms were a good size and the breakfasts excellent. The ground floor restaurant had a good menu and, again, very helpful staff.

False advertising it is not air conditioned. It has cool water running through the floor.

This hotel was advertised as being air conditioned. When we arrived we discovered our room was not air conditioned. I was told by the front desk only five the rooms have actual air conditioning. The rest have cool water running through the floorboards although our floorboards were not cool to the touch they were room temperature which was very hot.We could not sleep and we were miserable the next day. The only reason we booked this room was that it was advertised as having air-conditioning, and the price was much higher than other hotels in the area. When I asked about canceling our room upon check in, I was told we could not, and that the manager would not be back on duty until after I checked out the next day. I tried to find a solution to this with booking.com but so far I have not been able to have a resolution.

Very nice hotel, excellent staff & facilities

Restaurant was exceptional considering we stayed on Dinner/ B&B. The Restaurant / lounge area is a nice place to be. Pool / spa facilities also excellent with panoramic views. Staff very welcoming. Parking available in adjacent under ground car park with its own section for the hotel, this was very convenient.

Personally didn’t like the separate WC to the bathroom in the room, but the room was fine

Gorgeous views and great pool/spa, if you do not mind over paying.

The pool and outdoor hot tub. The views were amazing at this hotel and the location is excellent. The welcome drink.

For the amount you pay, shampoo and conditioner should be a given in the rooms. There was only body wash that doubled as shampoo. It was expensive to add a third person to the room- 90 per night ?? Crazy when there is already a sofa bed in the room and all they have to do is make it up. This hotel is expensive, but I guess you are paying for the views and the location.

Beautiful Property and Excellent Location

Beautiful rooms, very nice restaurants.

Some of the staff in the roof top restaurant could be more friendly. We had a lovely waitress but the men seemed a bit grumpy until we ordered an expensive bottle of wine. We were returning from a seven day hut to hut hike and didn’t have super fancy clothes to wear, but we tried to look our best. I think the men assumed we didn’t belong. I can assure you, that was not the case.

Felt there was no value for money and staff had a pretentious attitude

The reception was short staffed. They should have a dedicated concierge . The reception always looked harassed when you asked them sight seeing questions . I had an incident in the breakfast room when one of the staff moved my bag because someone ws Ted that table. . There were no allotments of tables at breakfast time. I received no apology from management even though others have said the management tries to meet all new clients

Very clean and modern. A full band played an outdoor concert at the hotel’s outdoor eating venue. The owner was present, personable and attentive. It was all good.

Excellent breakfast and location. The pool and spa area are superb. Everything is very clean and in good condition.

The rooms have no air conditioning and are not well ventilated. If it is hot and humid outside, it will be the same in the room. There is no coffee maker in the room.

Very well maintained and run. Super friendly staff that really paid attention and made our experience feel personal. Absolutely beautiful location that offers something for everyone. Great food and facilities. Our little one loved the rooftop jacuzzi and we were able to use the babysitting services and also enjoy a massage and the saunas.

The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. The room seemed to lack ventilation. it got hot and stuffy even with the window open in the winter.

For a 4 star hotel, some thing just felt off. Main issue is that the A/C was turned off for the season. Room got very hot during the night. Some staff (night restaurant and some front desk) seemed a bit of as well.

The breakfast is fantastic! Nice selection of cheeses and very good rose! Panoramic restaurant and the pool is really nice. The hotel is great for children as well - nannies are available and there is a kids club

Our stay at Edelweiss

Location with all the amenities and the staff.

We couldn't sleep comfortably. The mattress was not comfortable at all and on top of it the room temperature was very hot and uncomfortable.

Excellent hotel and professional run with the family touch. Woudl recommen it to anyone.

Hotel has the family approach, but with the necessary professional standard. Breakfast exceptional, the room was generous and very clean, and the location is the best you can get in Berchtesgaden (right in the middle of the town).

There is not anything in particular which we did not like. The hotel can be noisy from the outside sometimes, due to the location in the middle of the town, but this is generally not an issue, as it may only affect the traveller after a long journey.
