I really enjoyed my experience at this property. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and easy to access. The place has a very cozy and charming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel relaxed. The people are incredibly welcoming and warm, which added so much to the overall experience. Everything was nice, from the way we were greeted to the comfort of the surroundings. Overall, it was a lovely visit, and I truly appreciated the hospitality and the cozy environment. I would definitely recommend this place.

What I did not like was the food options. Nothing was halal, and even the soup contained alcohol. On our first night, as this was the only option available, we could only eat salad for dinner, which was very disappointing. For such a nice and inviting property, I expected more consideration for different dietary needs.

Exceptional experience to escape the city for a weekend.

It was our first stay at the Kempinski Berchtesgaden, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hospitality and friendliness were exceptional, and the spa and restaurants were simply magnificent.

Good hotel with nice facilities and beautiful view

Clean, very spacious, nice staff

Location was hard to reach in and out so you’re forced to stay at evenings since the road is difficult to ride especially when it rains. The restaurant Johan grill was way pricey and medium food quality. What really pissed me off was the fact that they force you to pay 10-20 Euro for parking although they are isolated and no other option for you to park. I think for the money they charge they could include the parking payment.

Room and view in our terrace suit fabulous. The breakfasts are beyond awesome and we loved breakfast til 1200 on weekdays and Saturday and 1 pm on sunday.

Fantastic hotel in an amazing location. A shame we couldn't stay longer to utilise all facilities.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night here as a stop to visit Berchtesgaden but a perfect spot. We drove and whilst we had to pay to park, this wasn't a problem. Check in was easy and our room was large and very comfortable. We did eat in the Restaurant Johann Grill where the food was excellent and very Bavarian. This hotel is a perfect location for visiting Berchtesgaden. Just wish we'd had more time to visit the surrounding countryside.

The service in the restaurant (Johann Grill) was initially very slow and then very rushed and just needed to slow down a little i.e. we had our bread with flavoured butters at the same time as our first course. It appeared some of the staff were a little pre-occupied with other guests. A good meal but the service could have been a little better for the quality of the hotel.

A luxurious pampered alpine mountain getaway!

The location in the hills was magical and mystical . The facilities were fabulous . The alpine breakfast spread was delicious. The whole place is cozy and the highlight is the indoor outdoor heated pool .

Beautiful Hotel, But Feels Like a Money Trap

I loved the location, the service, the cleanliness, the peace and quiet, the design, the comfort, the staff (both men and women), the breakfast, the lobby, and the lawns.

I didn’t like the prices at the hotel. Since the hotel is quite isolated, guests are highly dependent on it. The price of a glass of water is outrageous. Everything costs money. You constantly feel how the staff is gently trying to nudge you into ordering dinner. You sit in the lobby, and every few seconds you're asked again if you’d like something else. This isn’t a hotel — it’s a money-printing machine.

Brilliant stay in a wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of the world.

Exceptional Liked · absolute everything the room was fantastic with amazing views. Internet was really good. Breakfast was the best not many hotels in my opinion do later breakfast service, however breakfast was until 12pm (Brilliant) and the food was great with loads of choices. We booked 2 evening meals during our stay and both fantastic the staff could not do enough always filling up our wine glasses 🍷😁We also visited a well deserved relaxation in the spa after out Eagles Nest Tour which had been on a cold rainy morning the outdoor pool which was heated to perfection was the icing on the cake. The bar in the hotel is a must the staff will make you absolutely anything to drink and will also recommend something different to try. The fire was so welcoming and a great feature on a chilly night. The food in the bar looked delicious especially the hotdog but unfortunately never got to sample one. We walked in to Berchtesgaden from the hotel it was really nice and worth the walk loved the town. Finally to sum the stay up.. We can not wait to come back. Thank you 🤞😘

The staff in the spa was unfriendly which is a shame because this is not the case with the rest of the staff in the hotel.

Echoes of the honeymoon.

The high standard of rooms, service, food and overall impression was absolutely unique! Kempinski meets the absolute highest standard within hotels. It is absolutely top class! The food is absolutely delectable, the staff always helpful and professional! Great spa with open pool, incredible scenery. The hotel is in an incredible location in the mountains overlooking the Eagles Nest itself. The location of the hotel on the hill itself is absolutely unreal!

The area around the hotel could be a little better managed. The grass around the hotel was quite tall, in proportion to all the luxury it doesn't give the best impression. Otherwise I have absolutely nothing to complain about!

Everything. The breakfast was incredible. Sorry I missed one day but I had early reservation to go to Eagles Nest. Hiking the mountain is very easy and pleasant. Staff extremely helpful.

Very good natural location and proximity to many hike areas. Well-organized facilities and overall high quality you would expect from Kempinski.

The outside swimming pool is tiny and old. SPA was also tiny and partially closed. Very expensive, but rather average food (low value for money).

Best Hotel hands down

One of the most enjoyable stays at a hotel I have ever experienced in my life. The services here are top notch. Every single staff member was incredible. The level of cleanliness at this hotel is off the charts. Food was amazing. The setting is breathtaking in every direction. Not one single detail was missed. I’m was so impressed with everything.

Every single member of staff was excellent. Sadly apart from the restaurant Sommelier how was odious and ignored us other than ordering the wine and bringing the bill. He didn’t even pour the first glass of Chablis for us. We ate at the Hotel the first night and didn’t go back because of him, which was a shame. However, absolutely everybody else was perfect!!!!

Perfect enjoyment from 3 romantic days and we are not a couple at the beginning of the journey

Everything was perfect for a romantic vacation. The room was large, neat, and clean, and breakfast had a great atmosphere. The location and the view make it perfect if you are looking for peace. Of course, you need an attached car to enjoy the location and what the location has to offer

You should make the stay more expensive by 20 euros instead of charging for parking. Getting to you without a car is almost a mistake.

Please stay healthy during your stay.

I would suggest the hotel can provide more assistance on sick guest. At least providing clinics or hospitals address for the guest, transportation etc. It is not safe for a patient to drive more than an hour ( we looked for 6 clinics and hospital) for a place to see doctor.

I think they should add more hours to the opening hours of the spa.It is open only from 10-20.I have been in other spa hotels and the opening hours are much longer.7-22 is much logical.one can use the spa before breakfast and after coming back from different activities.We found ourselves rushing in to get to the spa before it closes!we only arrived half an hour before closing time!

Everything feels new, very stylish design, perfect location, amazing kamin bar, food and drinks were delicious, same as breakfast and as a bonus very friendly personal. Of course the room itself was wonderful.

Beautiful views in a gorgeous location. Expensive but we had a wonderful stay

The welcome and service by the valet team, particularly Fotios was outstanding. The room was nice and the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. I loved that breakfast was available till 12 and 1 pm on Sundays.

A few issues. We had booked the terrace for dinner but an outdoor table was not available despite our request. We chose to eat from the bar menu on the lawn. It was disappointing and over priced. They seemed short of staff and the basics of bread and salt and pepper were not provided. The snitzel was good but priced the same as in the full service restaurant. There was not much service!! And along with the crying baby it wasn’t a meal to remember. We ate in the restaurant the following evening at a table outdoors on the terrace. It was very pleasant and we really enjoyed our meal . My only comments would be that the smoking of other patrons does spoil the dining experience and the overpriced house sparking water at €9 a bottle. The most expensive waterI have ever drunk. The gardens need attention as lots of weeds growing and many flower boxes filled with dead plants. It would have been lovely to see flower boxes filled with summer flowers like I saw throughout the town.

Everything was impecable. The hotel manager was very friendly and it’s impressive that he is also leading the team for outdoor activities. We’ll go back anytime.
