Excellent choice to explore the area...

Booked two single rooms. For singles I thought they were spacious. No A/C which wasn't a problem. The airflow was adequate with the windows open and slept great. Rooms faced the river and hearing the water at night made it easy to fall asleep. Free parking and breakfast included. Breakfast options were plentiful. So close to Konigsee, easy drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent all round

This was a proper German hotel. Typically deviated with geraniums in windows bored on the alpine balcony. Views were excellent. Staff in the restaurant were very pleasant

This is truly a luxury hotel at a good price with Bavarian styling.

The location is nearly perfect for train travel and parking is ample. The hotel has all of the amenities you could want and the staff is friendly and helpful. I speak German but English is quite common here.

It's a quibble but the swimming pool is not good for laps.

Nice hotel, excellent breakfast and good location

The property had a very nice restaurant and breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean and it was nice to have a balcony overlooking the river.

I liked that it was a little walk to the city center but it is about a 15 minute uphill walk to get to the shops and restaurants.

Lovely view from the hotel and excellent location

Awesome breakfast , Just outside the train station and had great view from my room and from almost everywhere in the hotel. Staff was very helpful and assisted me in early check in and guided me in detail how to visit Eagle's nest and Königssee lake.

Excellent location, close to train/bus station, and located on the river. The outdoor area with lounge chairs was beautiful, and relaxing. The amenities for the hotel were great. We stayed in one of the hotel’s apartments.

The apartment was spacious, but sparse and not cozy. There were no rugs, and the apartment echoed every sound from inside and outside, due to the lack of floor or wall coverings of any kind. This made it difficult to sleep or have any privacy.

Breakfast was wonderful. Loved the free access to the gym across the street. Close to Konigsee and Eagle's Nest. Beautiful area.

The room was small and outdated. We had a room facing the road, so it did get loud in the morning with traffic. The price for the room was high for what we received. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the center of town, which is uphill. We didn't mind but visitors should be aware.

Lovely terrace to eat outside, or just have a drink. Special mention to Peter, a very helpful and kind member of staff.

We knew there wasn't a lift in the annex but were unprepared for the steep and winding staircase. If you have mobility problems, please take heed before you book.Opt for the ground floor.

Location was walkable to the historic part of town, just know it’s uphill. The indoor pool and sauna were very nice and enjoyable. Best breakfast on our trip to Europe. Free parking.

Room 163 :-(

The rooms are spotlessly clean, staff polite, and the man on reception extremely helpful.

Room 163 :-( An ugly downpipe going horizontally across the wall right next to the balcony. The roof below is raised to a pitch, obscuring the view (albeit of a busy road and train station) and any nice view could only be seen by hanging over the balcony. The radiator was broken - it was turned off, but giving off heat ...... in June :-( making the room very warm, and I had to keep the door open all night, til 5am when the road became busy again. There's also a very large 3 door wooden wardrobe - in a single room - which takes up quite a lot of space. I'd asked to change rooms, but told the hotel was full (the rooms near mine seemed to be very quiet, and I didn't meet anyone going to that part of the hotel (separate entrance from the main bit). I was told I could change rooms the next day. Next day asked at reception about the new room, but the receptionist hadn't made any changes and hadn't left any info. I went out for the day, leaving my bags in reception), and when I returned, the man on reception had arranged a different room. I stayed for two nights, and it was I shame I couldn't unpack or full chill.

loved the room. bed was very comfy. pillows were a big awkward but slept well. we had a large balcony which was very nice! breakfast was very good! bonus free parking on property was very helpful

Booked for 4 people but only gave us 2 beds and told us kid has to sleep with parents. Room was hot, lift is a death trap nearly 40 years old with door that crushes people.

The location is perfect - easy to find, opposite the station and central bus terminal, and right by the river with glorious mountain views. The breakfast buffet was very good and varied, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even found us some fans for the rooms as it was hot. The Grillabend on our arrival evening was an unexpected bonus. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean, indoor pool, lovely sun loungers by the river - no complaints!

our room was a low ceiling attic, the temperature in the room was about 35 degrees Celsius from 9am in the morning to 8pm in the evening, with no wind. we couldn't stay in the room for more than 5 minutes. the location is central which means noise starting 5am in the morning.

Berchtesgaden/Konigsee is a beautiful area so the general location of the hotel is great, beds were very comfortable and the room/bathroom very clean.

The decor inside the hotel was a bit tired, there was a busy road across the river from the hotel so the immediate location didn't feel so relaxing, and the breakfast food was underwhelming. Overall, our stay was fine but it was expensive in relation to what we've experienced at other hotels in Austria/Germany.

Nice location and good breakfast selection.

Apartments were in a separate block further along the street. It is not practical when expected to use the leisure facilities pre changed using robes provided and walk along the road, especially in heavy rain. No changing facilities are provided at the swimming pool. Felt apartment residents were second rated. Our apartment block appeared to be in a block used as hotel staff accommodation. I didn't like that the outside door kept getting left on the latch, day and night. One night, our apartment door handle was turned to try to open it several times as the outside door was onntge latch again even though we locked it when we entered the block. Only half of the patio had been weeded and cleaned, and the other half had obviously been left with weeds and overhanging shrubs. On arrival, the receptionist didn't provide clear instructions to locate the apartment block. Had to return and ask a second person who explained better but felt like i was bothering her. There was no explanation of where breakfast was and times, leisure facilities. There is no inroom information for this either. Car parking is difficult when the hotel is full!
