OUTSTANDING all the way around, again great host and hostess!

Had a little problem with the room we booked but that was due to Booking.com, Host definitely made up for Booking.com's mistake. Host and hostess were outstanding. Daily breakfast was excellent. Had dinner there twice and the same applied, excellent! Very clean and well kept property. Owners dog was so sweet and friendly.

A/C would have been nice but understand with location and elevation, maybe a fan in the room to circulate the air in the room.........my only negative.

Outstanding experience all around.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent friendly staff. Breakfast was great with many options and the location was also convenient to many of the local attractions, but secluded enough to have some peace and quiet if you wanted.

I was made to feel welcome.

The owners and staff went out of their way to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. The breakfasts were plentiful and beautifully presented. I was made to feel welcome despite being the only non-German staying. Despite what it says on Booking.com, evening meals are available - they cannot be pre booked as a half board option but you can chose your meal at breakfast time so it is ready in the evening. The views are excellent - I had a lovely evening watching the sunset over the mountains from my balcony. If you are there on Grill Nacht, make sure you go - great food and an enjoyable evening - though you need to be able to enjoy traditional Bavarian music!

It is not in Berchtesgaden but in the village of Obernau, higher up the mountain. On the plus side, everywhere is easily accessible with a car, especially the stunning views from the Rossfeld Panorama Strasse

Great place to stay before visiting Eagle’s Nests

Really pretty cottage with tiny cute rooms served all needs for a short stay. Great view and panorama to the area from the attic room’s terrace. Great and rich breakfast served by really nice staff.

Parking is challenging when all the rooms are fully booked but the host solves nearly everything.

Pleasant but not overwhelming. Still value for money.

locationwise was nice & quiet. Breakfast with sufficient quantity but only coldcuts meat with pork. No chicken or beef served. Owners were kind and friendly. The breakfast room was in true Bavarian style. Excellent WIFI connection!

The exterior lighting of the entrance area was either not working or switched off when we arrived late in the evening making it difficult to find our way to the entrance. The bed was way too soft and causing backpain. The bathroom has all facilities, but is small in size and the sink is very tiny causing the splash of water on the floor everytime. The curtains in the bedroom fail to darken the room sufficiently.

Very nice hotel

The staffs there are very nice. The food was also very good. The hotel is on a mountain. it is very good to stay for a few days and enjoy the peace there. But DO the trip by car. it is impossible to go there by publich transport. BTW, DONT trust google map to go there via the street "Mühlauer Freie". it is a very very very steep road. (>25 degree I believe) please, go there via the "Weißensteiner Weg"! that is much easier!

Perfect hotel in Berchtesgarden

The hotel and rooms are beautiful. There is a restaurant with amazing food. Less than 10 minutes from the Eagles Nest bus stop. Everyone working here was amazing, and they have a wonderful dog Lily. They are quick to respond to any requests. Parking is easy. Breakfast (hot and cold) is a spread of fresh breads, eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, etc. They even gave a fresh Tulip for mother's day! I would absolutely recommend for any trip to Berchtesgarden.

The roads leading to the hotel and parking can be a bit tight. We had no issues in our Kia Sportage, but large cars may want to take it slow.

Exceptional

After staying in several different hotels around Germany we found our favourite! The owners are extremely serviceminded, and the breakfast was amazing. The couple takes good care of their guests. The wife helped us with information regarding things to do around the area, and the husband made us some lovely breakfast bags for our journey (since we had to leave early on our departure day). Recommend strongly! 🌞

Excellent Classic alpine family run hotel

The breakfast was exceptional, with many meats (even crunchy bacon,) eggs, delicious breads, cheeses, cereals. Staff was very helpful, with loads of information. The hotel is a classic alpine family-run establishment- you know they care about your experience.

Our host and hostess and their family worked extra hard to make our stay wonderful. They even printed a daily suggestion list on the activities that were suitable for the weather. We were treated like king and queen. The service was better than family. We wish we stayed longer

Excellent quaint German Gasthaus close to Salzburg, Berchesgaden and all surrounding attractions!

Staff was awesome. Excellent breakfast. You can eat on premises, we meals prepared by the owners. We only did that once out of three nights because we were out and about. But, the meal was excellent. It's out of town from Berchesgaden about 5 mins, but it's nestled nicely part way up the mountain. We stayed here back in 2008. It's under new management, but still pretty much a mom and pop place. We love these kinds of places.

Anfahrt im Dunkeln etwas schwierig, da schlecht ausgeleuchtet. Hoteleingang bei Ankunft im Dunkeln nicht ganz leicht zu finden. Parkplatz schlecht ausgeleuchtet und etwas unübersichtlich, besonders bei Ankunft im Dunkeln. Lageplan von Hotel und Umgebung wäre hilfreich.

Ein äußerst gemütliches, familiäres Hotel. Das Eigentümerpaar ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Frühstück reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Herrlicher Kurzaufenthalt

Sehr schön gelegen, mit Wandermöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Hotel. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr lecker. Sehr ruhig, ideal zum Entspannen. Freundliches Personal und eine gepflegte Ausstattung runden den tollen Gesamteindruck ab. Wir würden hier nochmal herfahren. Eine echte Empfehlung.

Een heel goed adres voor een overnachting op doorreis of voor een kort verblijf in Berchtesgaden.

Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Er werd continu gecontroleerd of er nog voldoende aanwezig was, en zo niet werd er direct aangevuld. Kwaliteit was goed. De sfeer in het hotel was ook zeer gemoedelijk.
