Nice Bavarian style hotel, good restaurant, value for money when we booked in December

Front deask staff very helpful and welcoming. Room clean and large clean bathroom. Very good buffet breakfast and dinners we had and there too nice staff. We decided to stay longer as it was also good value for money during Christmas season.

We parked close by in front of hotel a bit down the hill. There is parking under the hotel also but it was not offered. Not a problem really.

Such a great find, good value for the price, I would argue you couldn't find a better breakfast.

The breakfast was exceptional. Huge variety of well prepared items, eggs, meats, fruits, veggies, bread and pastry, yogurt, oatmeal, cheeses, etc. Room had plenty of size. We did not choose a view room but if you did, the view is beautiful. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpul. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center of the town and you can take an elevated path above the town. Amazing! Views and looking down into the town.

Not saying it had to be better because cleanliness is way more important to me but things are a bit dated. Not the beds or bathroom but mostly decor. Nothing that should make anybody hesitate to stay here. The hotel itself is up a small hill to ample parking. We did it easily in the winter (compact rental car) but might be something to consider if you are afraid of driving on ice and snow( if that was the situation)

The dinner the first night my friends ordered was so extremely dry. I don’t know how they served it. My dinner was good, but we ate elsewhere other than breakfast.

Good breakfast, nice views, but require some renovation

Absolutely amazing breakfast. I would say it was the highlight of our stay in this hotel. Very friendly service during breakfast, nice views, great variety at the buffet. We were reading before that the rooms are relatively old and need renovation so we were prepared for it. It's very old school, the pictures look better than the reality, the rooms indeed need some renovation. Everything is clean though so it was ok for 1 night stay. Overall, I gave 8 only because we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and it compensated for the rest of the experience.

Great location with stunning views, outside terrace to enjoy them. Short walk into the town. Secure underground parking. Large rooms. Very clean. Good breakfast.

The check in process was very slow, a que formed and they had a long wait to be seen. The hotel needs to update the process or emply another staff member. No tea/coffee in the room. Staff reluctant to allow access to the underground car park-dispite very limited parking outside. Decour dated.

My New Home Away from Home!

Staff was wonderful- friendly and welcoming. Location was ok, just a 10 minute walk down inro the main part of town. Great breakfast! Room and bathroom were big and clean. Evening dining in restaurant was very convenient. Can't wait to come back!

Hotel " Walking Dead"

The reception staff were happy and inviting

The restaurant staff would be more suited to offering their qualities to the series " The Walking Dead" uninviting, miserable and generally shouldn't be doing this job. The hotel was like a flash back to the seventies, it was massively over priced. They are very fortunate for the demand to stay in this area as the hotel location is convenient to get to the Eagles nest. If it wasn't for the Eagles nest, this hotel would have gone out of business years ago. Only stay here if it's your last option.

Needs considerable improvement in communication with international guests

When we were finally allocated a room that we had requested with a view, we thought the room was quite nice and the view was lovely.

There are number things we didn’t like. When we first arrived, even though we had requested a room with a view and a lift so we could move our luggage to our room we were given a room in the basement with no lift and expected to carry our two large suitcases down a number of stairs. Our dinner on the first night was pretty good. After breakfast on the second morning we requested to extend our stay for another night due to a change in our travel plans and at the same time we requested a dinner for that second night at 6:30 pm and we confirmed that dinner would be available. When we to dinner that night we were advised by Alex at Reception that he was advised there was no dinner available to us only for the guests from the 2 Coaches that were staying at our Hotel. We were advised we would have to go out to have dinner elsewhere! We advise the staff member that we were not happy about this as it was heavy rain and quite cold and we have been assured that dinner was available to us earlier that day to which he advised that he knew at 4:30 that same day that there would be no dinner available to us, but he had not bothered to contact us to let us know. We had no choice but to go out for dinner as no other resolution was available to us. Exactly the same thing happened on the third night of our visit. Only this time we were advised there was no staff until the following Tuesday to make dinner for us. We also discovered that our room had not been cleaned and no clean linen had been provided so we again attended reception to ask why and we were told we hadn’t put a sign on our door. After nearly 6 weeks of travel we had never put a sign on our door to ask for our room to be cleaned and had never experienced this issue at any other hotel on our trip. So we went out for dinner elsewhere and when we came back to this hotel we discovered numerous people in the dining room enjoying their dinner which for some reason was not available to us. Not a pleasant experience

The food was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. Also gave us advice on local attractions including our visit to The Crows Nest which is well worth a visit.

It was a good stay for one night for me and my family.

Great staff at the reception -very kind and helpful. The breakfast was really good in terms of quality and taste. Just few kilometers from the main attractions like Koenigsee, Salt mine etc but you can already get a glimpse of mount Watzmann from the hotel restaurant’s window itself (or the rooms depending on the side you are offered)

The room had some kind of ‘not so pleasant’ smell. The beds were not comfortable or atleast I find it a bit stiffer than what I am used to. There was no hot water kettle or tea bag’s in the room. Not sure if that is a rule because last year I stayed in a different hotel in the same location and they didn’t have it either!

Great views and the staff was exceptional.

The bathroom with the bath tub and old fashioned shower. I find these bathrooms to be dangerous because of getting in and out of the bath tub to take a shower. Also it is not properly enclosed causing water to spray in the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean and spacious but I think it would be a better idea to remove the tub and just put in a modern shower.

Great stay as a resort and wellness place but not worth over 100€ per night.

Huge Room with great view over the city and amazingly comfortable bed. Sadly the Steam Bath was closed but the Sauna was still usable ( was empty but huge and would have fitted at least 12+ people).

The Room and Bathroom was clean but there was no hot water for minimum 10 Minutes opening the tap or Shower. Reception said it needs some time, but it was reeeeealy a long time to take warm shower. Breakfast was limited but nice. Fresh Omletes on request where a nice touch but not too many fruits or vegetables available. Nice spread of cheese though.
