Perfect for our 4 night stay!

A small fridge in the room would be useful, but I do realise there would be a lot of short stays not requiring the use of a fridge.

A fantastic hotel with warm and friendly staff

The hotel was modern, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Rooms were cosy and comfortable and the breakfast was very generous. Bozica and Monika were excellent hosts, organised, attentive and happy to help with any queries.

The extra touches were such a delight! I would stay again.

The little extra touches make this hotel a great choice. The room had a tea kettle with instant decaf coffee, espresso, and herbal peppermint tea as choices. There was a daypack provided for guest use. This made it incredibly easy to pack a lunch and snacks, which I could carry on my hikes and tours. There was prosecco offered with the wide variety of hot and cold breakfast items in the buffet breakfast. In addition, I arrived earlier than the written check-in time, and I was hoping to store my luggage for a few hours. The clerk did better than storing my luggage, since my room was clean and available to check-in, she allowed me to check in a little earlier than was expected.

For some people, the walk from the town center may be a bit too much (about 25 minutes from the train station). I rather enjoyed the placement of the hotel outside of the town center. Just know that dinner options are a very short drive away and a little bit of walk (15 minutes or so).

Great clean accommodation and friendly staff.

We loved that the hotel has been modernised, while maintaining its traditional charm. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast selection. The as opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace, in the sunshine, was a bonus. We had an amazing view from our balcony and whilst location was a bit out of the centre, it was still an easy walk.

Home Away From Home

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berchtesgaden. The location is excellent—just a quick 2-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, which made getting around incredibly easy. It’s ideally situated within walking distance of local attractions, including the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine (5 minutes away) and Watzmann Therme (10 minutes). The walk into the town center takes about 20 minutes and includes a steep incline of roughly 100 meters, so be sure to pace yourself and enjoy the views along the way. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere. My room was comfortable, with a soft bed and smart, efficient features like using the key card to activate the room’s electricity—a thoughtful and eco-friendly touch. The on-site sauna is a lovely bonus for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide selection of high-quality items that tasted fantastic. It’s the perfect start to the day, whether you’re heading out for a full itinerary or a peaceful morning at Königssee. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The combination of convenience, comfort, and excellent service makes it a standout choice. I give it a 12 out of 10!

A perfect hotel for bicycling around Berchtesgaden and up to Salzburg.

I was extremely happy with my stay. I did not expect the fine level of accommodation for the price. The staff was fluent in English and very helpful. The location was perfect for me traveling by bicycle, close to the town but very quiet. The breakfast was outstanding, and I will definitely return to this hotel.

I have nothing to suggest. Please don’t change anything.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. Great location just outside of the downtown area. Close to the Berchtesgaden salt mine, and near the bus stop. Highly recommend.

Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Newly renovated, free parking and only 10-15min drive from Konigsee. Breakfast was great and there’s a very nice sitting area for guests to relax.

Quiet location and great breakfast

Really great and quiet location, very close to bust stop so if you are using public transport it’s easy to reach. Staff is very polite and helpful. Rooms were very clean and great view of mountains from the room. Breakfast like many have said is great and lots of options for vegetarians as well.

Just one thing I din’t like that despite I booked one double bed, my room had 2 single beds combined together, leaving a small gap in between. Although beds were comfortable.

Good

Everything was great overall, but there was one major drawback for me

The towels that were hanging in the bathroom were so smoky that it was impossible to use them. I don't smoke and can't stand unpleasant smells, especially the smell of used cigarettes, it smelled so bad that it was impossible to go into the shower room. Other than that it was fine.

great value and a nice place to stay - we would return

Monica from the main reception was always wonderful. Always happy to help with any questions, She even made suggestions for day trips and was extremely good at her job. She made us feel very warm and welcome for our 8 night stay there. Very clean rooms and a nice renovation overall. We often stay in 5* accomodation and was hesitant when we arrived and the exterior looked like the timber needed some attention. I was concerned that this could be a reflection of the inside, but it wasn’t at all. Inside was comfortable and cosy, inviting and relaxing. We felt it was also very good value and our room #20 was spacious by European standards. I believe some of the rooms are smaller than the one we stayed in and some are also bigger.

1. At first our room key tag did not work and this had us locked out of our room for a short period of time. eventually it re-set itself and worked. 2. Would recommend that they change their pillows 3. At least 2km from the main centre of town and a steep hill to walk up which could be a problem for some people. buses nearby though.

Excelent option to get away from the city and enjoy the mountains!

The hotel was really modern and really comfy! the buffet was also really really good with lots of regional products. The staff was also friendly and helpful.

Even if the location is known, the hotel is a bit more far away from Berchtesgaden city center that it looks like, 30 min walking with a good uphill at the end or 5 min drive. Luckily the hotel offers free private parking so this makes things easier.

Staff and breakfast were great!

The room was quite small and the bathroom door is frosted glass. It’s obvious they’ve put a lot into the property and it was lovely but I didn’t think it was worth what I paid.

Excellent accomodation with stylish interior. Each member of the staff were super friendly, they always had a couple of nice words for us. They are also welcoming with our dog. The breakfast was extraordinary with high quality ingridients.
