We were impressed with the speed of check-in despite our arriving in the middle of the night. From then on, everything was done expeditiously and unobtrusively. All our requests (be it transportation or service) were met completely to our satisfaction.
The only minor blemish (if I can call it that) was the difference in water pressure between the cold and hot water supply, resulting in scalding water coming out of the shower heads. But even this is resolved as soon as I reported it to reception.

Superb location so close to Monkey Forest and dozens of good cafes within 200 metres. The family rooms were great, especially with seperate bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Great swimming pool.
Breakfast starting at 8 am was too late for us. But did it at Black Sheep instead, so not a big issue.

VERY Quiet, clean, great staff, sweet and kind, helpful, comfortable bed, very high quality there
Used to be my favorites place, but since WIFI isn't working at all at the top floors I couldn't work from there. Also the monkey forrst shortcut closed (non of their fault) so place is very hard to drive in and out with traffic

Location, pool area, garden
Massive construction site next door + ongoing renovation in the building. Only one plug in the whole room. Bathroom needs refreshment or at least proper cleaning.

Feels like you are in a tropical forest and it is a very authentic place.
Peaceful location and spacious.
Outdoor space to sit outside the suite.
Comfortable beds and spacious bathroom
Aircon in rooms
Very close to Ubud centre, you can walk round the back of monkey forest and this takes 5-10mins.
Friendly staff
Big shared swimming pool
There are constant noises from insects and animals in the trees but it’s an authentic experience and we loved this-we had earplugs in case
Swimming pool has restricted times

Staff in reception not only confirmed I was a guest to a local man asking about me (I’m a solo female traveller) but also told him when I wasn’t in my room. This man followed and photographed me. I felt vulnerable here. Cleaning standards were also poor. We xx booked the family suite (3 solo females decided to share accomodation) but the upstairs room was hot and stuffy with a mouldy smell.
Corners regularly didn’t replenish coffee etc. had to go to reception and ask for it. WiFi very unreliable. Was a good location though

Staff, pool was great, day bed on balcony, location is great and in a quiet stree with great places to eat.
The bathroom!!! My shower flooded the entire room. Also walls are very thin so I heard every noise coming from the two adjoining rooms.

spacious, great aircon, friendly staff and lots of well priced eateries in walking distance. Pool was fantastic for the kids with such hot weather.
There was a wee outdoor kitchen which was good for noodles and snacks but you couldn't make a meal. No couch or area to chill inside other than on the beds.

The gardens are stunning, and the pool area is equally beautiful. It’s a delight to occasionally see monkeys passing through the property. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very spacious.
Our stay was very disappointing. We discovered a rat in our room that was leaving droppings in the beds. While staff quickly tidied the beds and set a trap (we ended up catching the rat ourselves at midnight), it was still an unpleasant experience.
The towels looked dirty from the start, and on the third day when I left them in a pile on the bathroom floor for replacement, staff simply re-hung the same towels, explaining that the washing machine was broken.
The property also has extremely loud frogs at night—if you’re not used to constant noise, earplugs are essential.
We ended up checking out a night early because I couldn’t tolerate the overall uncleanliness of the unit or the noise from the frogs.

Near the forest
Couldn't get in as entrance blocked with building materials for whole stay. Bathroom was disgusting. Very rarely hot water

Garden View is a great place to stay if you're looking for a hotel on a quieter street in Ubud. Even though it's a quieter area the restaurants cafes and bakeries are outstanding. The gardens and swimming pool are well maintained and the staff are wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Lower floor rooms smelt a little musty and the fridge needed cleaning. We relocated after first night to the upper floor with a balcony and that was much fresher.

Absolutely beautiful resort. Tropical paradise
The mattress was rather old and sunken on both sides. Otherwise the room was good

Excellent location, a short distance outside the centre of Ubud so much calmer environment, but still with lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Family room was perfect - double story with two separate rooms. Lovely pool and gardens.

Hotel has a natural green environment and is situated in a less crowded area but very near to Sacred Monkey Forest. Room was decent in size and very comfortable. View from the balcony of our 1st floor deluxe room was very beautiful. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Specifically young lad, Arya. Options for breakfast were limited but the taste was good with a decent portion size. Pool was clean and available any time for a quick dip. Specially, kids enjoyed the pool a lot. Staff was very friendly and cooperative. Specifically young lad, Arya.
Room was cleaned on a daily basis but cleanliness of bathroom and balcony could have been better.

THE LOCATION IN UBUD IS BAD AND EACH TIME I WENT ON A TRIP IT TOOK ONE HOUR THROUGH THE TRAFFIC TO PICK UP OTHER PEOPLE WHO STAYED ON THE OTHER SIDE OF UBUD.

Rooms are basic, but very comfortable.

Great place to stay!
The balcony rooms are spacious overlooking a beautiful garden.
There was confusion about if breakfast was included in my booking. When it was confirmed that breakfast was included I was told there is no room service. The dinning area is very run down and awkwardly quiet, so didn’t wish to have breakfast. It would have been lovely waking up and having a nice breakfast at your room overlooking the gardens.

Great location, nice, clean pool, Gardens made it feel like a little oasis in the middle of hustle and bustle.
My room was basic with a very “tired” bathroom. Shower in a bath.

Excellent location. Lovely staff. Very friendly and helpful. The room was peaceful. Good lighting. They cleaned it daily. Nice views from my room and when it rained it was really peaceful. Good shower pressure. Great WiFi.
The hot water was a bit hit and miss. But it can get that hot in Bali that it’s not really an issue if it’s the middle of the day. The bathroom tiles could do with a bit of modernising but overall - all plumbing worked.

After a booking mishap at another property in Seminyak (the booking was made through booking.com but we fell into the trap of “partner offer”), staying at Garden View Ubud was the best choice that my husband and I made. What we thought was gonna be a 2-night stay, ended up being a whole-week stay. The room was tidy and spacious, so spacious that we could do our morning stretches in there. The bed was comfortable. The hotel staff were really attentive, explained the check in process clearly, even went out of their way to drop our takeout food to our door, and brought us extra towels for our swim which we thought was really nice. The pool was nice and clean. The garden is so green and lush, and we were lucky enough to enjoy the view and the sound of birds singing everyday from our terrace. The breakfast was nice and really worth the price. Garden View is quite far from the city centre (not that far if you ride a motorbike), it was around 15-20 mins to the city centre by car, longer if you’re brave enough to walk. We didn’t mind it as we liked the fact that the area is still relatively peaceful and quiet compared to the busy central Ubud. It’s close to the Monkey Forest so you can see some on the streets. There are some nice restaurants nearby.
The water pressure from the shower head was not strong enough. If you plan to bring more than 3 devices, it might be better to bring your own extension cord/s.

Beautiful room nice stuff, helpful and gorgeous area, close to coffee and restaurants. The room was very nice and confy, bed was super comfy and facilities were ok for the price
There was loud noise from the water pump, the neighbor was smoking and it got into the room
If not the loud noise from the neighbor room pump I'd have extended more

While the bathroom needs some upgrading work, the staff made our stay a very pleasant one. Special rose petals design on the bed was done for my husband on his birthday, also presented him with a lovely cake and birthday song. Much appreciated!
The lobby was not so welcoming. Dim lighting and counter so high we can't see the staff
