Alam Indah is a special place that truly makes you feel welcome. Every member of the staff—from the shuttle driver to the receptionists—is attentive and treats you like part of the family. Everyone greets you with a genuine smile, which shows how much they enjoy what they do.
The rooms are a beautiful example of Balinese architecture and make you feel as though you’ve stepped into a different world. The garden is the absolute highlight of the hotel, and the swimming pool overlooking the Monkey Forest is a wonderful feature.
Breakfast and all the meals we tried were absolutely delicious.
If I had to mention one small downside, an upgrade to the shower/water pressure would make the experience even better.
Overall I would love to stay here again!

My stay at Alam Indah gave me the perfect experience of Ubud! I was seeking somewhere to unwind in lush rainforest, but still be in easy access to lovely restaurants, and Alam Indah's location provided that. The surrounding village is delightful, so much more relaxed than Ubud proper (which is still accessible by a 10 minute walk through the monkey forest). I feel like I got to have an experience of what Ubud felt like 20 or so years ago, but in a really plush resort with delightful and attentive staff. The food at the resort was beautiful, and the hotel's staff greet you by your name throughout your stay. My only suggestion for improvement would be that a little fridge in the rooms would be great, as we had a few snacks in our room that attracted a lot of vermin unfortunately. A small fridge would have also allowed us to keep drinks cool which is always a nice touch in such a hot climate!
