Paradise

All the staff at this hotel are incredibly attentive and friendly. It's a very peaceful place, with a beautifully maintained garden full of lush plants. Our room had a nice terrace where we could relax and read quietly. Everyday water is refilled in the room, also coffee and tea. Pool area is amazing, actually there are two pools. We will come back, thank you :)

YES, highly recommend!

Loved this place! The room was huge, the shower was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the view + the pool + the serenity: absolutely amazing! It was also a short walk to Jln. Monkey Forest where there are many shops / bars / restaurants, and also where the entrance to the Monkey Forest lies. The staff were also incredible and so friendly. One night, due to heavy rains, their power went out and they put us in their sister hotel just down the road free of charge! Very considerate of the team and very happy with their service! Would definitely recommend staying here; not too far from things-to-do, but also just far enough where it's quiet, serene, and away from the all the busyness!

The only issue my partner and I had was that the walk to the main area (Jln. Raya Ubud) was pretty far (about 20 mins). We knew about this when we booked and didn't think much about it, but when you factor in the humidity and heat, It felt like a solid workout! So be ready if you are a walker just like my partner and I (or just take a scooter, much more fun)!

Run-down and not as advertised

The floor in the room was clean and the bed was large. The pools themselves were maintained well. The staff were always friendly, smiling, and greeted us politely.

The hotel is in poor condition and very different from the photos. The “rice field view” was just overgrown weeds next door. The paths and pavers were slimy with blackened mould, making them slippery and unsafe. I saw staff slip and I also slipped over. The room had mould in the shower, toilet, and the fridge seal was red and black with mould... and only one shower towel each was provided. The bed was very hard, and worst of all, every time we moved it creaked loudly, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Breakfast was also disappointing: cold, old sausages and bacon, with only the freshly cooked eggs being edible. We only ate there once. I had requested a ground floor room before arrival, but this was ignored, and when I raised concerns during the stay about the quality of things, nothing was addressed. We ended up leaving 2 nights early because it wasn’t clean, comfortable, or as advertised.

It was quite good

The hotel was exactly as shown in the photos, and our room was the same. It was very spacious and sufficient. The hotel’s garden and pool were nicely designed. There was no noise or any disturbance, and we were able to park our motorcycle in the area where the reception is located.

The hotel’s breakfast menu was a bit limited, with no sandwiches or similar options, so we always had our breakfasts outside. Sometimes there were yellow stains on the sheets; although they were changed daily, the stains remained, which were probably permanent marks.

Quiet and well location accommodation

Lovely, quiet property in a great location just off the main street in ubud. Staff welcoming and accommodating and room spacious and clean.

The only thing was the rice field was overgrown with weeds rather than the picturesque rice field shown. This could possibly be due to a field rotation and therefore unusual but it did make this area of the hotel look unkept. Overall the hotel was lovely and I would stay again.

Wouldn’t recommend this property.

The gardens are lovely and the room is large.

This was my 2nd time in Ubud and I didn’t realise the street this hotel is on is very long and entirely made of cobble stones. It is also very steep at either end. The window and door in the room didn’t close completely allowing mosquitos in. The bathroom needs an upgrade - the toilet is not attached to the floor and rocks, the bath is stained and the bath mat was torn and had holes in it - which wasn’t replaced during my 3 night stay, the power socket was loose on the wall. I had paid for 4 nights, but the property couldn’t provide a late checkout on my last day (my flight home wasn’t until 11:30pm) and there is no reception area to wait in, so I moved to another hotel in Sanur that provided a late checkout.

I heard something waking me up in early mornings and I thought those are rats. The sound was just above the ceiling between the roof. I asked reception if anyone has reported this before, and they told me that probably cats. But one morning sitting on my balcony I saw squirrels jumping on coconut trees . I think it’s them, because the sound didn’t sound like cats walk. It was something smaller like rats for sure. So don’t get scared of you hear that )))

The hard bed, blood stains on sheets. (Staff happy to change) No hot water or water pressure. Have to run shower for 20-30 mins to get dribbles of warm water. No assistance with laundry (access external options yourself) Limited traditional food options have go outside for meals unless you want pizza.

Location is great, 10 minute walk to monkey forest and shops and bars and spas just outside the hotel, the staff were lovely and helpful! Served it purpose, cheap, comfortable and clean

I had room 202 , The bathroom needs a bit of love, the toilet kept moving and the bath tub is pretty dirty but think it would be difficult to get the marks out, I just had a quick shower, the pressure isn’t great, also needs some new towels and some of them are a bit frayed on the end,

Peaceful haven by the rice fields

Beautiful hotel right by the rice fields. The hotel is located close to the center of Ubud and walking distance from Monkey forest. It is located a little bit away from the road making it a peaceful haven in the middle of the busy town. You could barely hear the traffic, just the birds and frogs on the rice field. I had a suite facing the pool and the rice field. The room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The food could have been a bit better. There is more tasty food availabe nearby. But all in all it was a great experience and the food is just a minor detail.

Cannot recommend

the staff were very kind, and the plants in the garden are beautiful.

Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the accommodation. The lighting in the room is very poor – even when we turn on the lamps, it’s still quite dark. The window only has a blackout curtain, and if we open it, people can see inside. The air conditioner is so loud that we couldn’t sleep because of it, and the fridge is also very noisy, so we had to turn it off. The bathroom needs renovation. The bathtub is worn and unsightly, and not very clean either. Unfortunately, the pool water is also not properly maintained.
