Lots of steps to our room and to others too.

Champlung Sari gave us a traditional property in a great location. It was the perfect place to start our holiday. There were two decent sized pools and the staff were very accommodating and always wanting to help out.
The breakfast was everything you could want and we regularly ate at the restaurant with Putu. The food was amazing, as were the beverages and really decent prices.
Maintainence was happening all over the resort to improve everything.
Being traditional style, faculties were outdated. We didn’t mind as everything was kept clean enough. It just meant that things like shower heads or handles were a bit loose.
The monkeys were great to see and a real highlight but they also were a bit scary as they were everywhere. The staff were very accommodating to help us if we needed to get rid of them away from our rooms

Short walk to Yoga Barn.
Staff was the opposite to any other place I’ve stayed at in Ubud. Seemed like they could not care less about guests- it was a big contrast to other places.
Filthy bathroom with ceiling falling off - literally.
Mouldy interior pieces.
Waking up at 3-4am to screaming monkeys and poo and blood on the porch. I appreciate it’s out of the property’s control but something to consider for bookers looking for a peaceful sleep.
I booked a deluxe room and was taken to a dingy basement that stank of mould. Checked out earlier than my initial booking and only then the staff showed interest in my stay, offering me a different room but making it clear there will be no refund.
I won’t be staying there again.

Nice lady at reception was extremely professional and helpful. Her name is Darma.
Reception and pool and dining area are well kept and have a good impression.
Rooms are run down and need a coat of paint and maintenance.
Room’s are run down.
I was lucky to be moved to a better room. First room was terrible

Location was very good. Right beside Monkey Forest and close shops and cafes.
The pool was great and buffet breakfast was nice with a chef making lovely omelettes on demand.
The staff weren't that friendly.
We had ordered 2 rooms for 5 people to include an extra bed for our 11 year old. On arrival, it was not there and the staff weren't very accommodating trying to find us another room like the one I had paid for. They tried to charge us another $30 AUD to add it an extra bed but to be honest the room was too small to fit it even if we wanted to. My 11yr old slept on a bench which was uncomfortable.
The room was very cramped. For some reason the bathroom was huge but the room itself could just about fit a double bed.
The worst part was the smell coming from the bathroom. It stank the entire room out.
Also a lack of lighting on the room made it harder than it should have been.
Overall, I would say the general hotel was lovely but our room was very disappointing especially for the price we paid.

Super friendly staff, amazing food and pool area. Big spacious rooms
The Monkeys. If you dont like Monkeys do not go here. They are everywhere and we had a very vicious one go us on the balcony. I was petrified. Right next to Monkeys forest ans we saw more at hotel.

The location is more or less good, close to the monkey forest, shops and temples. The pool is good too, they could improve the coffee.
The smell of dampness is awesome, desperate, the bed had bedbugs, I was assigned room 303 and they were doing demolitions in the rooms on both sides, I booked 6 nights but I had to go two nights to another hotel to rest properly and the last night I booked a hotel in Kuta, I paid 6 nights and slept three nights in that hotel, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL, the place is already very old.

The location was perfect we had monkeys every morning to say hello in our window. The hotel had this amazing pools although the weather was not the best… the pools were top! We rented a scooter to go around and there was always space to leave it. The breakfast was good and we had monkeys always looking to get a piece of it. Was too funny to see it. The room was superb and very spacious. We had a great time!
All was great.

We have stayed at Champlung Sari Hotel many times and love the staff, who have become friends. The food is amazing and the monkeys are a great source of entertainment.
The location is perfect.

- Seeing the monkeys
- pools
- location
- comfortable room
- Didn’t love the breakfast. Not suitable for those who don’t eat meat, egg or dairy. Even the rice contained butter, which was disappointing.
- School (teenagers) groups during our stay. There were two separate groups of around 20+ students, and some evenings turned into a bit of a party on the grounds.
It wasn’t a relaxing experience for those looking to unwind and getting a pool bed was nearly impossible, with people even resorting to sitting on the ground.

Great location near monkey Forest , nice room , the pools are great and the room was clean with a comfy bed
Unfortunately another Bali toilet that fills to the top when flushed.
I don’t think that problem is at all anything to do with the hotel but more a mainstream issue in Bali
Waiting 10 minutes to have the toilet flushed after 4-5 attempts

Pool area is very nice. towels not available in the morning
Breakfast in line with price
Exposed wiring in the room. Light fittings etc.
Tv to small
I left two dead cockroaches on the floor in the corners, they remained there the whole stay.
To get wifi had go outside on the balcony, not available in the room at all.
Toliet required many flushes to remove solids.

Old property but very well maintained. Stuff is super friendly and attentive.
First room we were gives had strong smell of mold, but hotel staff found us another room, which was great.

The location is great - 20 min on foot to Ubud Art Market, right next to Monkey Forest, so you can see the monkey leisurely playing on balconies - just be careful not to leave any food or anything else outside.
Breakfast was good, served 7 till 10 am, the selection isn’t super wide, but the food is good.
Spa: I had relaxing massage every day - their masseuse Budi is very attentive and professional, and super lovely too - although I’d say everyone is super lovely there!
There are two swimming pools, sun-beds, lots of greenery on the territory, it’s quite quiet there, despite its proximity to the shopping street and the forest - all very nice.
Nothing really, it was a very pleasant experience

The pools were amazing, good Breakfast, The restaurant staff where just the best, so friendly and helpful. We loved having the monkeys around, they were funny. We were travelling with a 10 year old and the place was good for her. The rooms where spacious. It was right by the shops and a little convenience store. Nice massages too, at a good price. The ladies were very professional. We would go back again and stay.

Great location, friendly staff and beautiful hotel and facilities.
Our mattress was very soft so I kept waking up almost rolled on top of my husband during the night. Although the bed was beautiful I found it quite uncomfortable.

Rooms, size was big and had huge and nice bathroom.swiming pool was amazing, v clean and had a great view all around. Whole resort was highly picturesque.cab driver of resort Mr Dewa took to sightseeing on 2 days was great. He took us to great places that were non touristy which we loved it. He was a great company.
Slight damp smell in rooms. May be it's due to heavy rains and we chose to stay on ground floor. Shower of pool is slightly far.

Great location, had lots of monkey visitors
Lack of communication between staff, bath plug did not work and replacement did not work either, spa was closed entire time. Least friendly staff of our motels we stayed

Balinese style of buildings. Nice pool. Good massage.
Needed rail for pool steps.
Building work noisy in early morning.
Needed more towel rails in the bathroom.
Monkeys very annoying, a troupe of 20 plus monkeys comes through the property every morning and afternoon.
Staff scares them off with slingshots and later in the day you see them feeding the mobkeys ??
Needed more bedding around the pool.

Location was perfect and value for money was good.
The bathroom was a bit dirty and the shower was poor. The pool area was also a bit grotty.

The breakfast buffet was well priced for Ubud and there was a good mix of food varieties to suit most tastes. Waitressing staff were very accomadating.
The rooms were basic but very comfortable. Quiet at night.
Balcony's provided a platform to view the endless sources of entertainment provided by the monkeys frequenting the hotel grounds.
The pictorial representation on Booking.com did not show the hotel currently under significant restoration. It was a building site for the best part of the day.
One pool was open the other out of action indefinitely.
WiFi speed variable (we were not in the hotel room during the day so am not sure if times made a difference)

Great location by the Monkey Forest. Walking distance to all the shops & Cafes. Lovely hotel staff. Good value for money.
Hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. We were advised that the COVID shutdown period affected the state of their facilities, where many issues need to be addressed. Renovations noise could be heard all day, which may affect you if you are trying to relax by the pool. If you're out all day and only using the hotel as a base at night, then it should be no problems.
We stayed in their recently renovated rooms. The bedroom is nice & modernized. Beddings were on the smelly side, maybe due to the dampness. The bathroom is also musty, due to a lack of cross ventilation. However, we found that most 3 star hotels in Ubud have similar issues with musty bathrooms.
The monkeys are frequent visitors to the hotel, due to the proximity to the Monkey Forest. We didn't mind this, as they're quite entertaining to watch.
It will be a very nice hotel once all the renovations work is completed. Staff are very friendly and always eager to assist with any issues that came up during our stay.
