Ubud Inn cottage was a perfect oasis in the middle of Ubud but on a slightly quieter strip of Jalan Monkey Forest, which is unrecognisable from the place I first visited in 1997! The gardens and pool are absolutely delightful and so clean and well cared for. It was great spotting all the wildlife - tree shrews, big lizards, frogs galore, birds and butterflies - we even had a visit from a little troupe of monkeys one day when we were by the pool but the staff were great at shooing them away! Having breakfast with a view over the lotus lily pond was also great. Breakfast was good - freshly cooked and some variety to choose from. We had a room towards the back of the property so it was really quiet with terrific views from our balcony. We spent plenty of time chilling and swimming in the pool after a hot day out in Ubud. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and peaceful hotel with friendly staff who take care of all details then look no further. I would definitely stay here if I returned but unfortunately Ubud is just far too crowded with tourists now to make that likely.

Great location on Monkey Forest Road, beautiful gardens

I stayed in a ground floor room (208) opposite the pool. It was clean enough but felt a bit bare. And although the bathroom looked recently renovated, the whole room smelt like strong mould. The pool also looked a bit slimy so I opted not to swim. The staff were pleasant enough but seemed like they'd prefer to be home.
