Great for budget and location

Couldnt see an A ac unit in the room and it did get a bit hot which stopped me sleeping a bit, until I found the fan atleast

Never staying here again

I enjoyed my stay the previous year. Last year the staff were pleasant, the room was nice with a view and there was good entertainment.

This year the room decor was tired, food average and terrible service from staff and management. I’m 90 years old and I was asked to move tables 2-3 times at every breakfast and dinner to accommodate larger groups. This resulted in me falling on the 3rd day and an ambulance being called.

This is the 3rd Christmas that I have spent here. I would diffidently return and recommend.

Room was spotless and bed was oomphy. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The nightly entertainment was good. I didn't have breakfast but the evening meals and Christmas dinner was excellent.

Cheap and cheerful would stay again.

The food was really good, I’ve to been to some 4* hotels and the food wasn’t as good as it was here. The location is central to where I needed to be this is the second time this year I’ve used this hotel.

The thing that let it down for me was the staff not all the staff looked happy to be there we had interaction with around five different members of staff and only two of them were pleasant.

Disappointing experience 😕 😪

It was a complete disappointment 😞 😮‍💨. Booked the hotel for distance convenience but was completely disappointed with the service and attitude of their in-charge staff.

The room was very cold, frozen, and an ancient heater was not functioning properly, with a dirty carpet, dirty bathroom, and dirty toilet floor, broken sink. Expired beverages in use, dangerous and poisonous to human health. I accidentally used their expired liquid milk of 2024 and January 2025 in my tea. I had terrible diarrhoea all night.

The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The beds were comfy, the room spacious and unlimited supply of tea and coffee Fridge in room was great to see

It is a bit shabby and could do with an upgrade but while some things were clean despite the age there was some obvious oversights - dust under the radiator. Also minor detail - one pillow missing a pillow case

Breakfast food was cleared away before it was the end of the advertised time. Why are there no potato scones in a Scottish breakfast? We would have liked the option of a small snack instead of a full meal, sometimes. Very generous helpings.

Great location for P&J Live, lovely staff and free parking

Great location for events at P&J Live, only a short walk to the venue. Free parking at the hotel and the staff were all very nice. The food was nice too, we had an evening meal and breakfast.

The room wasn’t very clean, the bed was uncomfortable and the hotel was very noisy for most of the night. We were on the ground floor though so maybe that makes a difference.

Location great as we were visiting family a few minutes from the hotel.

The staff member didn't go out of her way for our check in, sitting on her phone in the office was more important to get back to! The hotel is rather dated, I would say back in the day it was thriving but room really needs interior updated. We had a twin share, queen & single, my friend ended up sleeping in queen bed with me as single bed was so uncomfortable

EXACTLY what I needed

Easy to find, parking registration easy and a friendly welcome at front desk.

A little tired, but clean and tidy. Curiously, no spoons with the mugs on the tray but i improvised.

Basic stay for work

Large clean room (Deluxe double). Relatively inexpensive. This seems best suited to those travelling for work - which is fine because I was. Didn’t eat or use bar here so can’t comment on food/drink. Good quality teabags and a kettle that fitted under the sink tap 👍👊 - I’m amazed so many places don’t get that right.

Very dated and quite worn now - but clean and as well kept as it can be. Somewhat labyrinthine. No smart functions on the TV. Arrived early evening and parking was full - had to park in a non designated space - but I wasn’t the only one. Happy to stay again for work - wouldn’t take the family.
