Everything, the ambience around the hotel is peaceful the staff are so attentive and prepared, plus the very tasty food from evening meal to breakfast was delicious. It’s been a lovely stay.

Steak probably a bit overpriced and afternoon tea not explained when we were charged for a bottle of Prosecco which we thought was all inclusive price but told this was only for a glass but weren’t asked if we wanted a glass or a bottle.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the Marcliffe. A new favourite for NE Scotland, and we will definitely return in future. Staff in particular made this experience special. The food quality in restaurant was excellent and well received by our party. Being lucky enough to stay in some very premium hotels, this really sets down a marker for other 4/5 star venues in Scotland.

One main was forgotten at dinner, which led to a delay, but staff handled it really well and took the service charge off without asking. Entry level single malts at the bar were double the price of lots of other local venues, and whilst expected to be at a premium being a hotel, charging £10 for a 25ml when a bottle only costs £30 is excessive. That being said, wine etc was reasonably priced.

One of the lights in our bathroom wasn’t working, something that housekeeping should have notified maintenance about. 2 people staying in one room, only 2 bottles of water in the fridge, one still, one sparking, neither of us like sparking water

Attention to detail was excellent, from the minute we arrived until we left everything was excellent, room clean and little extras, food excellent, service was first class and staff could not do enough to assist. Best hotel we have stayed at and we will definately be back.

Suite requires updated and a new carpet. Staff prior to dinner were unable to answer queries about menu items.

Great in the best location in Aberdeen. Beautiful grounds but at present so improvement works being carried. But very well organised. So don’t affect our stay.

We didn’t really like the food. It was a bit too salty/seasoned for us. Starter was good, dessert was great but the main menu didn’t meet our expectations.

The Marcliffe is now a 5 star hotel and has wonderful facilities to relax, eat and entertain. It’s incredibly welcoming and sits in beautiful lush grounds of the start of Deeside, as you leave Aberdeen. Bar and afternoon tea area looks out onto mature trees and there is a patio area to sit out on. Views are beautiful and the recent autumn colours were fabulous. Free parking outside and plenty of it. Our Bedroom was luxuriously, we were in the Fraser suite. Staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed a while and were welcomed back each day at the door which is a lovely touch. To be helped with luggage on arrival was most welcome and we have not experienced that in many good hotels. Wonderful venue for weddings, gatherings or afternoon tea or just a quiet drink. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Hotel , great decor , huge rooms , super clean and comfortable , Staff excellent and welcoming , great dining too , ample parking and close to the airport also . Breakfast was superb also , highly recommended

Fabulous location . Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. The staff are amazing in every single dept . Emma S & Jill on reception are an asset to the Hotel . Breakfast was high quality produce & delicious.

The room was a little disappointing, bed had to be made as the covers were on the wrong way the wardrobe shelf’s were very dusty so not able to store clothes

Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were very attentive. Room very clean. Extra details like tea pot were great.

Perhaps staff could polish their shoes and make sure shirts were ironed . Small details but they make a difference .

Service deserves 10stars. For a 5 star hotel, the staff are 5 star staff. We had such a relaxing and blissful time during our stay. Such a calming atmosphere. Special thanks to Aayush who made our dinner experience on Tuesday very special for me and my husband being so attentive and courteous.

very clean and friendly staff

Asked for a room with two singles and found the single beds were very small. staff insisted this was a queen bed split in two but In many hotels you can get a twin room which consists of two small doubles based on a super king bed split in two. when I asked staff about upgrading as found it very uncomfortable they started to explain about size of beds required and room size so I gave up. Also really disappointed to see that I have been charged twice for my stay and need to wait 7-14 days for first pre authorised charge to appear back on my credit card. I did show reception receipt for pre authorised amount for two nights but they had no record on there system so charged me a second time for the full amount. If it was a debit card it could be 30 days !!

Everything. Beautiful setting and the decor gave it a lovely relaxing feel. Staff were warm and friendly and so attentive. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
