If you like a nice hotel, don’t bother with this one!!

Staff in bar were nice

To start with it has a very small car park. There was no receptionist as such just a lady from the bar came to check us in and she didn’t know how to work the computer so took a while to actually get checked in. Once in the room the floors were so creaky. We were on the second floor so nobody above us but felt sorry for anybody below us as you couldn’t help but make a noise when you walked across the floor! The room itself was very basic and we hadn’t paid cheap for it either! The bed was small and so was the quilt. There were two pillows each but they were flatter than a pancake!! The toilet seat kept moving anytime you sat down. There was no fridge and hardly any supplies in the room. There is no breakfast served at the hotel despite them doing evening meals. The staff in the bar were lovely but that was about the only good bit about this hotel. Safe to say I won’t be staying here again unfortunately!!!

Had a fantastic few days in Aberdeen with family.

Great location in relation to my nieces house, made visiting very easy. Easy access to the bus routes for getting to and from the city centre. We enjoyed the use of the pool room, just off the bar area. Found a few cafes, within walking distance for breakfast.

Unfortunately while we were staying the fire alarm went off at 4am.......but safety first we were all out. Thankfully it was a false alarm and got back to bed for a few hours. Staff were great.

A pleasant room let down by lack of normal facilities.

One towel provided for two people - no other hand towel or bathmat. Shower very modern but sprayed all over the floor. Slippery and no hand hold. One small mirror so high up I couldn't see in it. Also I was disturbed by the strong chemical smell coming from the bed linen - clean linen needs no added scent like the dreaded conditioner.

Okay for short stay in Aberdeen but expect a pub accommodation, not a hotel.

Great location with bus stops close by. Not much traffic and noise from outside. Nice colour choices (we prefer it dark). Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant / Pub was great and lively for locals and visitors alike. There was live music on the weekend. Lovely paintings in the restaurant.

No fridge. Rooms can be a bit noisy (pub music downstairs and other rooms can be heard). No ventilation in bathroom (broken), Shower splashes all over the room, Toilet is very close to the wall - impossible to sit comfortably. Strong paint smell in the room and hallways. Smoking area was below our window. Mostly small inconveniences that could easily be fixed, but they sum up.

Disappointing stay

Good location for what I needed. The shower was nice.

The room was tired and not clean. It was dusty and the windows were very dirty, with hand prints etc on them. There was an unpleasant smell in the room that smelled very stale, and the stairwell smelled strongly of urine. There should have been a breakfast option for the price that I paid.

Great sized room and bathroom. Lovely building from the front. Not bad location.

First thing I noticed when got to the room, was the toilet was dirty. Big bits of poop. Had to clean it myself with the toilet brush. The room was a bit dusty in spots. The TV didn't work. Outside the bedroom window is a wee shelf, which had a black bin that had stuff in it just lying there. Could have reached it myself, so not sure why it was there. The bed was very uncomfortable, very hard and lumpy, didn't sleep much.

Room had a strong unpleasant smell unsure what it was. The wall next to one of the beds had wallpaper coming away and appeared to be mouldy. As someone who is pregnant and asthmatic it is highly concerning was also asked to pay a second time as it was apparently paid by someone else despite showing proof of payment through booking.com. Please don't book if you are not able to climb stairs as there is no lift. Would not recommend or stay again

Disappointing

Have stayed before and therefore chose to return as good value for money, clean etc. However during this stay, much more disappointing. Small shower screen meant entire bathroom floor soaked after one shower, and only provided one bath and hand towel between two of us initially (had to request more). Room was too hot to sleep all three nights, despite radiator being off and keeping blind down during day to stop sun heating the room, meaning very disturbed sleep. Room above the smoking area, so even with window open, although room slightly cooler, the noise disturbed us instead. Bed uncomfortable, mattress needs replaced. Blind for window also holey and clearly damaged. Room was clean however. Very little interaction with staff, so no opportunity at end of stay to convey how disappointing stay was. Won't be returning.
