The room was lovely. Shower was great. Location was perfect. We didnt visit the restaurant but it looked lovely.

Unfortunately on both evenings of our stay there was a wedding in the function hall which was directly below us. The music was on until close to 1am. It was so loud, it was vibrating through the floor. We were made aware at check in of a wedding that day and night but not the second night. The receptionist did apologise in advance but said we could at least sleep in the following morning, however we didnt get our long lie (on the second morning) as we were woken by the cleaner hoover the carpet outside our room at 9am. On the first evening I went to speak to reception regarding the noise but was advised the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do. I'm unsure why non-wedding guests were directly above the wedding venue and I know we weren't the only non-wedding guests in that section. We weren't even given the option to move for the second evening. The room was absolutely boiling but opening the window made very little difference plus the noise from the weddings and road outside made it even harder to try and sleep. The fan just blew the hot air around. The fridge was warm and the heat coming from it possibly contributed to the room temperature. There was a door behind the wardrobe and when the guests in the room next to us were talking, we could actually hear their whole conversation so not private at all.
