Comfortable bed, large room, excellent battered fish in restaurant.
Room very cold on arrival, plug in wash hand basin in bathroom did nt work, no USB ports in bedroom, very poor choice of food for continental breakfast - no cold meats or cheese or pastries.
Main menu for dinner was also limited.
Dining room service dreadfully slow on second night.
Bar service similar.

Lack of water and auto light in bathroom. Whilst in shower light on timer went off!

Room was lovely with all the facilities needed
Breakfast was included and tasted great lots of options available from cooked to continental
the trek to the room but it was worth it

The room was great; very comfortable. Two comments however; light for working at the desk or when reading in the chair was poor. Additional standard lamp and desk lamp would be a great addition.
Location great for my business visit.
Good pricing.
Cosy bar for drink before dinner.
Dinner was excellent - I had Risotto
Breakfast was a poor experience. I ordered coffee and toast and it didn't arrive. Staff were not regularly in the room checking with customers. I had to go and find them at reception or in the kitchen ! I ordered coffee from another staff member and it arrived but not hot enough. I asked for a replacement and it arrived but very weak. Predictably when I asked for a third version it was too strong. I had to ask for plates to be cleared away.

It’s very luxurious, well decorated and bed was a dream.
Tad worn down in places, furnishing and woodwork needs varnishing, noticed a leak stain on a wall/ceiling in one of the hallways, lift buttons not responsive and signage not straightforwards. Lack of decent WiFi and signal - lacked modern tech as I couldn’t even read my book on my phone, so was bored and just went to bed out of annoyance. So wasn’t quite as much of a relaxing break as I was after.

Ideally positioned for my visit. Beautiful location

Breakfast was average, could have been a little bit warmer, buffet selection was average
While the public spaces are well kept, the bedrooms are in need of looking after, the first bedroom we were in was a little musty, the mattress was in need of replacing and no duvet, after a free upgrade to the bridal suite, the only room they had available, that to is in need of a little tlc, it’s looking tired, and the coffee making facilities need looking at, the biscuits were a week out of date, I took them to reception and informed them, but didn’t get much of a response

The original building is very special . Beautiful wood and general opulence from many moons ago
A horrible incident when the chair i was sitting on in the bar was found to have urine on it and therefore made my clothes wet. Turned out a dog had been on the chair previously and the staff member thought thats what it would be. Horrible

The grand public rooms. Very peaceful surroundings. The staff were so friendly and professional. The complementary breakfast was really good.
A little attention to details in the room - the sticky kettle, the Tv remote control needed a clean.

Nice variety but the hot food was quite cold
Keep hot breakfast hot!
Train the event staff in serving a full table appropriately
Train the bar staff in serving drinks and where to find mixers, as I waited 20 mins for a mixer and an hour for a sparkling water during the gala dinner!

The bedroom was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. I had the cooked breakfast which was cooked to order. I attended a re-union; the meal was good and the service was excellent. Impressive building near the River Dee.
It took a while to check in as there was no-one at the desk when I arrived (as it was 6pm and hotel was busy). The route to the bedroom was also contorted- long corridors and a distant lift!

A lovely country house hotel, set in its own grounds, on the edge if the city byt only 19 mins drive from the city centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, food is excellent, and the rooms are large and comfortable.

The young man who greeted us at reception did all he could to please us & make sure we were comfortable.
Also, the food was very good
Our bedroom was cold when we arrived but the young man at reception soon had it warm for us and even gave us an extra room key so it could warm up whilst we ate dinner.

Beautiful historic and reasonably well maintained.
The staff are well trained and very helpful and professional. It was decorated for Christmas so it was lovely.
The food is always good and the choices are generous although the menu is limited. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful and was included in the price of the room.
The drinks are really expensive.

Room was clean and fairly spacious. Had a bath and a shower. Reception areas are attractive. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Tried to run a bath but the water ran tepid very quickly. I ended up boiling several kettles of water to get it to a reasonable temperature. There was a clothes moth on the wall when I went into the room. The food was OK - I appreciate catering for a group is not easy (class reunion), but the breakfast was underwhelming too. I was charged extra for eggs Benedict which turned up with 2 tepid and solidified eggs and ham that was still very cold from the fridge.

Very warm, welcoming atmosphere. Lovely staff. Super breakfast.
For a hotel of this quality and price of stay, room tea/coffee, kettle would be expected.

Aesthetically the facility is stunning, inside and out and the staff were very pleasant. The general aura of the Hall was delightful and it was a pleasure, and a very wallet friendly one at that. There will definitely be a return.
If I might offer a gentle negative, I did think the cost of the food in the restaurant during the evening was a little north of friendly. However, if the standard of breakfast was aligned with food in the evening, it’s probably worth that little extra money.

Lovely historic house well maintained and run. The staff are friendly and professional. Dinner was excellent though the drinks are a bit on the pricey side. The breakfast the following morning was lovely and plentiful.
Our room was rather drab and the carpet had some stains. The bathroom was spacious and really clean. We had an easy access room which had a bath and shower. I have mobility issues but I could neither have a bath or shower as there was a step to get into the shower. The kettle was disgusting but was changed. Our room was very cold and took quite a long time to warm up.

My son had cut his 2 fingers open on a radiator in a room and the first aider knew what she was doing and came up to assist efficiently.
The bed was uncomfortable and felt like I was sleeping on springs .
The room next door to mine had people shouting , swearing , throwing things and a lot of banging against the wall at 1:30am while I was trying to get my son to sleep after the wedding !
Me and my son were not finished with our puddings and we were told to leave the room so they could change the hall over and set the DJ etc up . I don't find that fair considering our table was the last one served for all 3 meals.
I had the kids menu . The garlic bread was rock solid I couldn't eat it . If I had a bite it would hurt my teeth .
The chips with the main meal were so salty that we couldn't eat them . Wasn't offered any tea or coffee at the end either .
Breakfast the following morning was cold . I ordered a fried egg with my cooked breakfast and received a pouched egg .

Large comfy rooms, really comfortable beds, excellent food( small range on menu) but quality excellent, great breakfasts, and really nice, friendly and helpful staff. A large country house hotel set in its own grounds, and away from the noise and bustle of the city, byt only 10 mins in the car to the centre.
