Overall, it was a good stay with several strong points, though a few details could be improved: 7.5!

We had a lovely weekend stay at this hotel. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The location i truly strategic for visiting the thermal bath, and the restaurant/brasserie was exceptional - the dinner was excellent and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.

However, there were a few downsides. There were no shower soaps provided in the bathroom, and the toilet seat had some red/brown stains, which was not very pleasant. During the night we heard some disturbing noises: it was Valentine's Day, so it's understandable that couples were celebrating, but better soundproofing between rooms would definitely improve the experience.

Great location, but not vibing with this hotel

I liked the location. It is right in the middle of the town, very convinient. The room is clean.

Our room was next to the stairs and when some tired travellers were coming back from wherever, either the travellers were too loud or the room doors did not block any sound whatsoever - I got woken up by the noise at 02:40. Not really coming back.

Very disappointed.

We were not aware that the hotel was undergoing work and they moved us to another hotel without any prior knowledge. This was not communicated well. and the rooms at the other hotel were not up to standard. I had booked a shower room and was stuck with a bath. As a 6-foot man, this was very inconvenient. The staff were quite rude on our arrival and there was a supervisor or otherwise that was yelling that he had to come in on his day off.

Exceptional

The room was truly beautiful and did not seem small. Even though there was not a reception to check in at it worked quite well and the receptionist on the phone was very helpful and service minded.

It was abit difficult to get in contact with the receptionist on the phone, however with some help from the local restaurants it worked.

It has no swimming pool. Read reviews to see if this might or might not be for you.

The bathroom was really nice, looked just renovated and a big shower. Good location, big room with a good view on the square.

It has no swimming pool as the photo's might suggest. At the time we booked the main photo was a swimming pool at, which is not part of the hotel we had to discover when we arrived. So that is deceiving. We counted on the swimming pool being there for our two children. They told us they were busy trying to change the photo, but I still don't see any change, and it's already a month later. That's the reason I write this review, to warn other people. Furthermore the reception is only remote, which is very inconvenient if you want to ask all your questions, difficult to understand and hear though the speakers. It's not a pleasant first impression on arrival. We asked for a bed for our 7 months old baby, which wasn't there at arrival. They did come later with one when we called them, which looked like a completely new one, so that was positive and really nice of them in the end. Maybe if you travel alone or as a couple you might have a different experience. In the end I guess they did their best to help us, but I have had better experiences.

Bad, small, disappointing.

Bad hotel, no reception, no restaurant. Breakfast is to be consumed in a different hotel. Rooms are very small, very small bathroom as well. No spa or swimming pool is available as is falsely suggested on the Booking page.

Spa is a nice place for an one- or two-day city trip.

The location is great, in the city centre. The room was cosy and very quiet, the WiFi signal was good end performance was OK. The breakfast was fine, classical and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful, but so where all people we met in Spa 😊👍

The room was on the 3rd floor and only accessible via the stairs, so it might be difficult to access for persons with reduced mobility.

Location is good, but the hotel was rather poor.

Room was quiet. We stayed in two rooms for two nights and only one night we saw someone else. The room was simple but oke. Television was mostly French programs so good if you speak proper French. It is very close to some sources and the famous swimmingpool of Spa.

For this price and location I aspected to have a real hotel. But is was more a kind of room in a big house. The breakfast was terrible and very poor. No brown bread. Only very sweet curds.You eat in a chocolateshop where they sell really lots of thea, but no herbelthea. If you are German Dutch ore English... this is how they eat in the morning, buy something extra in the supermarket at the other site. Second day we had to wait more than a half houre before it openend and no excuse and not friendly service, you do not feel welcome at all. There is no elevator and you need to go on the stairs.

It is a small hotel for a stopover overnight. It is overpriced to its class by ~20%

We arrived to Spa for an overnight stay near the Spa Thermal center . Hotel is 100m from the funiculaire to balneario - not mentioned in the description. It is ideally located for the town center. The WiFi was actually very good - we enjoed the movie after visiting the balneario.

The parking was a problem at the time of arrival. We had to violate the traffic signs to drive to the hotel doors. There is no reception in that hotel at all, the owner seems to be serving the guests himself. We were surprised to see the corridors not tidy and one door was too small to pass safely ( hit my head couple of times).

Feels shady and scummy

The room was tidy and the bed was comcortable. Breakfast was decent but choices were somewhat limited.

First of all, the thumbnail from this hotel is actually a photo from de Thermes de Spa. I booked under the impression that this was the actual hotel. I understand you want to list sightseeings in your listing, but to use it as a cover photo is outright scummy. Second, the hotel we booked couldn't provide a room due to unforseen circumstances and we got offered a free "upgrade" to hotel le Villa de Spa. When arriving there the actual building looked veey worn down. There also was no staff present so we had to retrieve our keys from a locker next to the front door, which raised security concerns since there would have been nothing stopping us from grabbing the keys from other guests as well. I work in a hotel myself and it is understandable to have guests get the keys from a locker when they arrive past the closing time of the reception, but we arrived at 15:00 so one would assume the hotel would be staffed at that time. The only staff we had seen was the breakfast lady who asside from a stale "good morning" didn't interact with the guests at all. Lastly, there is no bar of restaurant in the hotel and the minibar inside the room was not stocked, so if you want an evening drink or snack, you're gonna have to bring your own. All in all, the hotel is okay for 1 night and even then I find it rather overpriced for what you are getting. If you plan on staying in spa for a longer time, I urge you to look further and find yourself a hotel that does actually value its guests.

Horrible!

Nothing!

Very old hotel, the pictures promises much more than the reality. First picture is a wellness centre we do not have seen in Spa. There are NO facilities, the breakfast is very, very poor, the kitchen was dirty (they closed the door directly when we tried to have a look (haha, we already did it earlier!). The eggs stayed in the breakfast room (22 degrees) and were still there the next morning (yes, we marked them!). There is no elevator, no parking place, no central lounge room, nothing at all. Even the Television shows very poor pictures, during the football games it was a horrible screen. We tried to contact the owner, but we only could speak with the host. We told them we we unhappy, he didn't do anything. We wrote the owner 3 times, no respond. Telephone was not answered. We payed 484 Euros for two rooms for two nogts. It's a disgrace! Skip this hotel, Booking, do your job and show the real picture against a reasonable price. This is theft!

Deceptive.

The breakfast was simple but enough.

The Pictures are not related to the hotel. Perfect example of false advertising. The beautiful Glass building with the swimingpool is not of the HOTEL. It's actually the Thermen of SPA.
