Not worth the money – disappointing attention to guests and poor experience with the owners

The location is convenient, just a short drive to Durbuy, which is definitely worth visiting. The staff members Chantal and Viviana were warm, welcoming, and truly helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant terrace offers nice views. Breakfast was good. Free parking is available outside (possibly the only thing that doesn’t come with an extra charge).

This is not what I would consider a typical wellness center. Access to the swimming pool comes at an extra charge of €80–€100 (this is stated on their website, but it’s something to be aware of). Massages are not guaranteed. They depend on the number of treatments booked and whether it’s financially worthwhile for the masseuse to travel—she lives 1.5 hours away. Check-in is strictly limited to between 3 PM and 5 PM. We arrived at 6 PM and, although we were not charged extra, we received the following message when we raised a different concern (our concern was not being able to have a massage due to the minimum number required—we had expected perhaps some flexibility, like access to the wellness area instead): “Normally, a late check-in outside regular hours incurs an additional charge… Instead of appreciation for this flexibility, you are now asking for compensation… we would have been within our rights to deny late check-in and leave the key unavailable…” I’ll leave it to the reader to decide whether this is an appropriate way to communicate with a guest. The room itself was not comfortable. It had a strong sense of humidity—so much that the bed sheets felt damp. There were many flies in the room (despite a mosquito repellent plug, which didn’t help), and the air ventilation system wasn’t working properly. We used a portable air conditioning machine to reduce the humidity slightly, but the room still felt unpleasant. The toilet was not properly installed, and water splashed out with every flush. The mattress was very soft and not supportive, which we found uncomfortable (though this may vary by personal preference). The “restaurant” is only available by reservation and only for large groups. If you bring your own food, there’s a notice in the room stating that you’ll be charged €20 per item (food or bottle), which we found excessive.

Nice stay but extra costs took us by surprise

Location was great and the room size was great

You have to pay separately for the use of many items which should actually come standard. We had the junior suite which is advertised as coming with a sleeper couch but we needed to pay extra 40€ just for the linen and it was not actually a sleeper couch but a normal couch with a small mattress placed on top, able to fit a small child.

Tranquil stay close to nice places

The kind, helpful personnel was a standout. Their kind warmth and helpfulness made us feel welcome and cared for from check-in to check-out. Hearty breakfasts made mornings great. They had something for everyone. It was a great start to our explorations. We had plenty of room for our items and could move freely. The hotel's tranquilly impressed. We easily visited local attractions. We had time to enjoy the local culture and beauty due to the small distances.

The hotel had certain drawbacks despite its numerous positives. Toiletries were poor. The bathroom amenities and goods were subpar. We expected better toiletries for our stay. Mosquitoes were another issue. These pests entered through holes in the windows or doors. This was especially annoying in the nights and disrupted our sleep. Therefore, we couldn't open the room's windows. In nice weather, opening the windows would have been amazing. It would have ventilated and refreshed the room. Air conditioning was a major downside. Despite the location and other conveniences, these flaws did affect our entire experience.

We couldn’t check in @ 15:30pm as promised, as there was nobody to welcome us. A simple (cheap) welcome drink would be a great kick-off. and certainly a way to make up for the lost check in time.

Absolutly lovely

Haven’t heard of this place before , and it couldn’t be better . We were stunned by the warm welcome from the staff and the cleanliness of the place . The room were amazing with a nice view on the surroundings. It could not have been better (Also , the food was delicious)

Warm water shall flow much faster to showers. Should have a curtain at the breakfast place to avoid sun in eyes as sun rises in front. A water fountain is necessary close to the sauna

Exceptional place with just 7 rooms. Very good dinner, Very good service. Great room overlooking the garden. Amazing view from the dinner place. We also very much enjoyed the jacuzzi and the sauna.

Heel mooie en rustige locatie!

Heel mooie en rustige locatie die toch dicht op het centrum ligt. Een hele ruime en mooie kamer. Er was een groot bed, mooie badkamer en een grote tv. De matras lag heel goed. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en spraken zelfs super goed Nederlands. Ontbijt was ook zeer lekker en zeker genoeg keuze.

We hadden last van veel muggen en andere insecten in de kamer. Ik hou van zachte kussens en het kussen in het bed was vrij stevig. Alsook zet ik ‘s nachts graag een raam open voor frisse lucht, dat ging niet aangezien het raam enkel volledig open kan, maar zo kan iedereen de kamer binnen wandelen van buiten want daar is een klein terras. Er is ook een hele mooie en grote ruimte boven om iets te drinken en in een comfortabele zetel te liggen, maar dit kan enkel tussen 15-17u als er personeel is. Jammer anders was dit ‘s avonds zeker gezellig. met Iets heel kleins: misschien is het fijn als er melkjes worden voorzien bij de koffie.

Wij waren verbaasd dat we omwille van de prijs van de kamer nog 80 euro/ dag moesten bijbetalen als we de welness wilden gebruiken.

Chambre et petit déjeuner top. Rien à redire. Propreté impeccable et très bon accueil.

Rien, j'ai tout apprécié. Seul tout petit bémol : il n'y a pas de bar où l'on pourrait rester traîner à boire un verre. Mais je comprends parfaitement la direction car ce ne serait vraiment pas rentable de garder un bar ouvert (salaire du barman) dans un hôtel d'une capacité de 14 personnes max. C'est justement parce-que c'est un petit hôtel que le client est choyé.

Mooie accommodatie, enkele verbeterpunten zou het nog aangenamer maken.

Het ontbijt was erg lekker en zeer gevarieerd, er was zeker voldoende voorzien. De ontvangst was hartelijk.

De kamertemperatuur was te laag. En het was buiten reeds fris… Het was ook te koud in de badkamer en er is geen bijkomende verwarming (tenzij vloerverwarming maar die stond te koud) Graag ook meer haken aan muur in badkamer om iets omhoog te hangen. Een tabletje in de douche om eigen producten op te zetten had handig geweest…Plaats genoeg voor een tweede lavabo of een grotere lavabo maar dan met 2 kranen heeft ook voordelen..

Un endroit qui aspire au calme et à la détente...

Le Durbuy suites est un établissement qui vaut la peine d'être visité. Endroit au calme aux infrastructures qui appellent à la détente. Le petit déjeuner est parfait et le personnel très accueillant. Un petit plus a été demandé dans la chambre pour notre arrivée (fleurs) et cela a été réalisé. Bref nos 1 an furent réussis grâce à vous. Merci.

Grote kamer, bed en inloop douche Zwembad, jacuzzi en sauna

Helaas weinig faciliteiten: bv. geen mogelijkheid om je haden te wassen in de wc (had elke keer naar de badkamer moeten lopen)- niet handig, extra wc-rol op de grond- geen kastje/ plankje aanwezig, losse deurstoppers, geen extra glazen in de kamer, koelkast leeg, maar 2x cups koffie (werd niet aangevuld), klein douchekop deed het niet, opzetstukken van de haardroger pasten niet op, geen ventilatie/ airco in de kamer, gebruik van de zwembad alleen tegen een betaling (per dag ook! ).. en binnen - zwembad ruimte- was 38,8 graden warm!- niet fijn. We vonden het onaangenaam dat ons ontbijt op een specifieke, precieze tijd was en dat we constant in de gaten werden gehouden door een familielid (vermoeden wij) terwijl we aan het ontbijten waren grrr. We vinden het erg jammer dat zo'n mooi gebouw/ locatie met zoveel potentieel niet op de juiste manier wordt gebruikt om klanten aan te trekken en vooral te behouden…. - weinig mogelijkheden voor veel geld

Chambre avoisinant les 30 degré, pas de climatisation disponible… : inacceptable vu le prix demandé. Accès à la piscine payant, indiqué de manière peu claire. Service médiocre (aucune bouteille d’eau disponible sans supplément, accueil glaçant, pas de pommeaux de douches,…). Rapport qualité/prix très décevant, nous ne recommandons pas cet établissement.

Dommage que le petit déjeuner n'était pas à la hauteur de l'endroit. Pas de buffet du moins choix très restreint, pas de jus frais, la qualité de l'hébergement demanderait d'avoir un petit déj de la même qualité.

Jeune dame très gentille et accueillante, améliorations techniques nécessaires dans les chambres

Le petit-déjeuner était correct et bien servi. Pas de chocolat chaud en été ...??? La jeune dame qui s'occupait de nous était très gentille, avenante et avait absolument tout sous contrôle - elle a rendu le petit déjeuner très agréable.

Les stores actuels dans les chambres doivent absolument disparaître et être remplacés, cela semble être une solution bon marché qui ne correspond pas au standing de l'endroit. Les nouveaux stores doivent être plus adaptés et fonctionnels, ils doivent surtout obscurcir la chambre - il y faisait clair dès +/- 5 heures le matin. Il faut aussi prévoir des crochets supplémentaires pour pendre les serviettes de bain lorsqu'elles sont humides.
