Could not wait to leave extortionate prices
Overpriced understaffed very very small rooms incredibly dark and cold Too fussy … tried too hard Breakfast was extra at €45 each a joke really …… should have been included in the price given the tiny tony room Only good thing the one staff member Mina Exceptional
Everything apart from the garden

Disappointing and Overpriced
Very beautiful property
The rooms are really small and spartanly furnished - considering the price. Our room was not clean and unfortunately showed serious signs of wear and tear. The staff was overly attentive to the point of being annoying and sometimes poorly organized. Lots of attitude, little substance. Please keep in mind that the hotel is located in a very remote area. Apart from the very expensive menu in the Michelin-starred restaurant, there was no other option for eating at the hotel. So you have to drive a long distance, for the next restaurant. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio was not at all reasonable. Overall, I would like to see more down-to-earthness and reasonable prices.

Great; will stay again.
Staff were amazing and it really felt like a 5 star hotel and stay.
Our room was tiny with a lot of noise from the hallway and the wifi was unbearably slow, had to revert back to our mobile plan. Check in process takes way longer than it should, the free drink is appreciated but it would be handy to have an option of having it in the room.

A deeply disappointing experience—this hotel fails to provide even basic comfort, let alone a luxury
The beautiful nature surrounding the hotel and the staff was polite.
• Rooms were poorly insulated, with a thin connecting door to the next room, making every noise audible. • Severe draft from the balcony door, which the hotel tried (unsuccessfully) to fix with a rubber stopper. • Overwhelming smoke from the hotel’s property, making sleep impossible. • Forced early departure due to unlivable conditions, yet the hotel still charged a cancellation fee. • Nowhere near 5-star quality, worse than any budget hotel. Our stay at Château de Vignée was an absolute disappointment, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality experience. For a so-called 5-star hotel, the level of service and accommodations were shockingly poor—worse than any budget chain like Ibis, which we would strongly advise avoiding at any price. Room Disaster from the Start • Upon arrival, we were placed in a room that had a thin, interior connecting door to another guest’s room. It was so poorly insulated that we could hear every single noise, from conversations to sneezing. For a supposedly luxurious hotel, this was absolutely unacceptable. • After raising concerns, we were moved to a tiny, cramped room, far from what you would expect at this price point. • The balcony door had such a severe draft that cold air poured into the room all night. The hotel’s solution? A makeshift rubber stopper—which, of course, did nothing to help. Unlivable Conditions & Forced Early Departure • The worst part of our stay was the overwhelming smoke coming from the hotel’s property. It filled the air to the point that sleeping was nearly impossible. It was so bad that we had to leave after just one night, even though we had originally booked four. • When we brought this issue to the hotel’s attention, they refused to take responsibility and still charged us a cancellation fee—even though our early departure was entirely due to their failure to provide an adequate stay. This hotel is nowhere near 5-star quality.

Lovely place to relax
We stayed in the chateau for a few days. The staff was friendly and the property was lovely. Clean rooms and a nice view over some nature and a lake. The property has a spa area with a pool and two saunas which were surprisingly quiet and also very clean - a great place to relax. The property has its own parking area with enough space, as well as a restaurant, bistro, bar, terrace and lounge area.
Given that the property is close to some big roads, there is some background noise from cars when sitting outside. This is not a big issue, but slightly unfortunate in contrast with the beautiful nature. Also, the bar would be unmanned at quite an early time during the nights we stayed - around 10-11pm.

Very good
The hotel is in a renovated country hunting house. In a beatifull area near the river. A beautiful indoor pool with surounding windows you can see the nature all around. Room was lovely although small. Bed was large and very comfortable. Toiletary of caudalie excellent. The receptionist was very nice. Took us to the wine cellar ( loveley) he explained us about the history and the wines they have.
The proportions between the bed size ( large king) and the room size isnt good. The bed fills almost all the room space. In bathroom: the extra toilette paper holder is located in a wrong place. Just on the sitting area in the toilette. So you cant really sitt comfortably. Dinner in lounge restaurant was bad and expensive for what we got. The waitress didnt know a word in english . They have a michelin star restaurant and no one told us before that it is closed and not open during our stay.
