Feels Like Coming Home

I have always enjoyed my stays at Little Pond and this time was no different. The staff are always friendly and helpful and there's always a good vibe amongst the other travellers staying there. As a woman travelling alone l've safety is important and Little Pond never fails to make me feel at ease. The location is wonderful, with easy access to the beach good eating spots, shops and supermarkets.

It was sad to see that the place seemed a little rundown compared to when l last visited. But that was around 7 years ago (pre pandemic) and l realise many businesses have struggled since that time. Despite this, considering all the more important boxes that Little Pond has continued to tick, it remains a charming, well located, clean and comfortable holiday residence with wonderful staff and a good relaxed atmosphere. I would stay there again 👍

8.5 - full of charm and good quality/price ratio

The pool is certainly the jem of this place. Very friendly staff. Bed was good and clean, towels were clean too. Outdoor seating area is nice, and the fridge in the shared kitchen very practical. Room and bathroom were clean though a bit old/humid, but similar to other places in the same price range.

It’s definitely a bit hard to find (especially for taxi pickup and drop off). Fan was a bit noisy and I had to put it on maximum to cool off the room a little bit. I think only one of the two plugs worked, as my phone didn’t charge on the other one. Ne aware that there will be some mosquitoes (no net on the window), though it didn’t disturb me personally.

Great staff and my perfect location

Always enjoy my stays at Little Pond. The staff are wonderful, the wi-fi is great as long as another guest isn't making a video call, the pool is just right and the location is perfect, being close to the night markets and the beach.

Not a problem for me but the property does get flooded when it rains heavily. Just bring rubber sandals.

Fabulous staff, ideal location

Staff are always delightful and helpful. If there’s an issue with anything, it’s fixed the same day or the next. The wi-fi is great as long as another guest isn’t making a video call. Beds are comfortable, the pool is just the right size and temperature and the location is the best for the night market and the beaches.

I don’t mind but be warned that the paths flood in heavy rain so pack suitable footwear. The water drains fairly quickly but be prepared.

Quiet despite great location

Great location very nice and quiet despite being close to the main road and beach. Seats were comfortable outside. Staff were nice

Fantastic Location....big big studio room....but thats it. it goes down hill after that im afraid.

location is wonderful. very quiet down a little lane behind a great restaurant 'over the moon'. I had the studio room right at the back which was good. The room is very large with a full kitchen, large fridge, lounge area and then another room which housed the bedroom. bathroom. Aircon very good. large porch area with two sitting areas.

cleanliness! updating! this place looks like its on its last legs actually. A real shame as it could be sooooo good. I had to wash the whole kitchen and every plate before i could do anything in it. No water supplied at all!. The bed is tiny and very uncomfortable. Unfortunately you can hear everything from your neighbours which made it hard to really relax. A big loud aircon in the building next door which broke any peace i was trying to achieve. i expected the pool to be small, but dirty and upkept no! could not swim. I really liked it here for so many reasons and have travelled the whole of Bali for many years and rarely put a negative review up. But really, i just had to sorry. i paid 50AUD a night which is not worth it at all.

Convenient, pleasant but very basic. Lovely staff

Very basic room but adequate for a budget room only £11. Good bed, a/c. Small pool in the courtyard, small balcony/ sitting area. Privacy glass. Close to shops/bars/cafes/beach.

Bathroom wasn't that clean. Floor tiles a bit black. Could be resolved with deep clean. Would be useful to have a 2nd bedside stand.

Good location off the main road, good value

Great location for arranging stuff. Shops, ATM, massage, restaurants a few steps away. Location a little of the main road, good! Friendly staff. Good value for money. You pay is what you get. AC is working. Pool not so good. Beach nearby. Near Sanur Harbour. Which makes it good for transit.

Great value in comfortable Sanur

The little pool looked good, but the weather stopped me swimming. It was very close to restaurants and bars and a new mall. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good price.

Closer access to the beach somehow would be much better. The room was more rundown than it looked online, but again the price was very good.

Perfect location

Location was amazing right in heart of everything and next to icon. Easy walk to beach. Could park the car. Very quiet. Has everything you needed for a night stay. Would definitely come back. Facilities are dated but for the price it’s absolutely great…would recommend to a friend to stay.

Nice little homestay, great value for money and very good location

The little pool in the middle is a nice addition. In general it's quite clean and the staff is friendly and the price is very good.

Privacy is not the best since all the rooms are facing each another. Any noise during the night can easily effect the neighbours. Toilet cleanliness and maintenance is hit and miss, sometimes the shower head doesn't work. The toilet facilities and the air condition has room for improvement. The bed can sometimes creak and be unstable. But some rooms are good better condition than others.

I first stayed here years ago and it is now in desperate need of maintenance work. Pool was not in use (there was a tiny handwritten sign saying we couldn't swim) and looked like the only issue was that it simply hadn't been cleaned for weeks so was disappointed I couldn't swim, if I'd known the pool was in a poor condition I'd have booked elsewhere. Simple items like small bars of soap and shampoo dispensers that were previously provided are no longer provided. Only half a roll of toilet paper provided in my room. No blankets on beds, only thin sheets so when it rains there is nothing to stay warm in bed. Really needs some investment put into this place, I think it was likely about my 15th time having stayed here over the years but definitely my last time. Such a shame as it used to be lovely! :(

Gorgeous little homestay.

Lovely homestay with pool. Not too big.....about 10-12 rooms. Good position. Ideal for the solo traveller, too.

No fridge or kettle, HOWEVER, there is a 'communal kitchen' area. Very basic, and you can use crockery or even cook if you wish.

in a good spot close to lot of restaurants and night markets, close to the beach and the main mall of sanur - bali icon. the homestay is still very quiet and chill. the pool is small but lovely and enough to escape the heat.

Cheap little Pond homestay

Little Pond is a guest house which is situated in a great position for being near the beach, restaurants and shopping. It is cheap but in saying that you can get very cheap guest houses for amazing prices - you just have to look. It is very quiet at night too and the people are lovely.

There were no toiletries at all, and only a sheet on the bed. The bed was right against the wall as well. I am very used to homestays in Bali, but this one needs more attention.

Needs some work done on rooms, doors very old and rickety and bathrooms dated. Also need doonas on bed and not just a sheet. Pillows need replacing as like pancakes. Otherwise the property was very cute and worth the money , we did enjoy it

Not the Little Pond it used to be, but it’s cheap!

Perfect location. Little Pond used to be so inviting but it’s run down now. However it is brilliant value for money with a real friendliness about it. I believe it is closing down soon so not much work is being done on it for upkeep. Lovely pool and friendly, helpful workers.

Easy to find. Just a few steps back from JL Tamblingan (main Sanur road). Maybe 100metres from the new Bali Icon Mall which opens out onto the beach area. Great mattress and pillows. Clean rooms and pool. Happy friendly staff.

The nights were unseasonably cool. A blanket would have been great!

No fridge in room No coffee/tea making facilites Very old place Linen and rubbish bins only changed every 2nd day No toiletries provided other than a toilet roll No bathroom storage for personal grooming / showering items Onsite share kitchen not clean and very run down/dirty looking. Staff sleep on kitchen floor (poor luvs). Pool water cloudy, not clear Some bath towels had stains on them, looked old, well used, time for new towels!! Only 1 top sheet, no blanket or doona provided, got cold few nights there! Verandah chairs very old, recycled from the tip by the looks of them, no cushions and VERY uncomfortable to sit on the madeup plywood seat bases Only one power point located on far wall Bathroom is small Shower floor felt slimy until I bleached the floor myself on 1st day No hooks in bathroom to hang towel or clothes Door to room very dodgy, not secure

Quiet and peaceful.

Location was easy and quiet. Staff were really friendly and polite - we got in at 2am and they greeted us very nicely. Appreciated the nice pool and quiet nature of this place.

Disappointing

The location is great as you are about 5 minutes from the beach and near a shopping centre so there’s lots going on. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.

The quality of the room and bathroom were poor. Drainage smell was very bad. The place needs renovation and air conditioning installing as our room was so hot my partner struggled to sleep. Photos are very misleading.

I think it's a great place to stay. Good value for money for sure. Not the cleanest but not the worst either. I would say fair. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The pool is amazing. Not big but very nice.
