Pleasant stay as always

It was our third time here. Staff is friendly, they waited for us very late to check-in. Breakfast is good. The room was upstairs, very comfortable (be aware that the rooms upstairs are close to the road so it can be a bit noisy, can always ask for a room downstairs if that could be a problem for some I guess)

The property is in a really good location, walking distance to everything. The breakfast was simple but yummy, and the staff were amazing.

It’s a bit rundown and outdated, but it honestly was no surprise to us, for the price it was what we expected.

Experience was a bit on the nose

The key to the front door of our room hardly worked, you couldn’t lock the bathroom door, and one window didn’t close, and the mattress was very firm and the Aircon hardly worked. I mean all we needed was a place to rest our head before we travel to the islands the next day, and all of the above would’ve been possible except for the fact that the room that we were in smelled like raw sewage. When we arrived, there was a very strong smell of deodorant in the room, as in a room deodoriser. As somebody who is allergic to fragrance this is not a great start.. But I soon discovered why so much room deodorise had been used because at night when the fragrance smell started to wear off, the smell of raw sewage became overwhelming. Nothing we did manage to get rid of it that effectively. And I didn’t bother raising it with Management because they understanding of English was not that great. Although the owner to go out of his way to a coordinate with Transport with his van and etc and was very friendly so that’s a plus

Hidden gem in the back streets of sanur

This is a great place with a very friendly set of staff in an awesome quirky location which is quiet and adorable but very close to the major shops bars and restaurants. I also like that you have cooking facilities outside most of the rooms on the size of the room is quite significant, they offer a great breakfast and there is always someone around who you can chat to

Terrible, dilapidated room with cockroaches and broken bathroom, thieves

Free water, breakfast was good, AC worked well.

The room was not in any way as advertised. It was old, dark & mouldy. The shower was only cold water and the nozzle was broken, so you had to hold it the whole time while showering. The bathroom door was broken, the sink was broken so you had to use the shower to wash your hands. We slept with the lights on because there were huge cockroaches. There was only a fitted sheet and a tiny sheet on the big bed, no top sheet or anything to get underneath, I used my sarong. We booked with our friend and they didn't hold his reservation, so they walked him to another hotel when we arrived, so we couldn't stay together. We left after 2 days, when we booked 7 and they won't respond to booking.com's customer service or me to refund the unused days, so essentially they're stealing 200 dollars from us. Brutal. Stay somewhere else.

I understand than we you book a budget-friendly hotel/stay you can’t expect much luxurious things. I think probably the only thing was good on my experience was the breakfast.

Room was not the best, it had soo much mold in the bathroom and room that my husband could barely breath, also is not good for your health.

Great location and amazing value for money

The location is awesome for Sanur beach access. They have pushbike hire and took our laundry for us.

It was very bright in the rooms at night time so we needed to wear eyemasks.

I do not recommend this place especially for family or kids.

The little girls working there were trying to help us with luggage.

The location was very isolated & scary. It was not cleaned at all. We check in late at night so there was no one to help us. We hear noises all night from roof like someone is knocking or tapping.

10/10 experience!

I stayed for over a month at G Saskara, and will stay here again if I come back to Sanur! Good price, the breakfast was absolutely scrumptious every morning with lots of options (the banana pancakes were my favorite). The owners and family are wonderful! Very welcoming, and always offering for me to try new foods and teaching me the language. I was very happy with my room, very spacious and kept clean. The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk to the beach, and close to many cafes, restaurants, spas and gyms.

Very enjoyable

The relaxed welcoming nature of all & the friendliness you come to expect from the locals on this island.

I thought the steps up to my room were a bit inconvenient in the beginning (I had a late night so purely myself to blame!) however once I got there I realised I was in a prime spot - extremely quiet & a nice view around the immediate neighbourhood.

I was welcomed by the family with big beautiful smiles upon my early arrival. Enjoyed a fresh mango juice in the onsite Warung and dip in the little pool was refreshing. The breakfast omelete, toast and coffee is delicious! And the location is close to the beach...a 5-7 minute walk :)

Lovely homestay in a good location!

Good location close to restaurants, lovely relaxed space with beautiful pool and nice breakfast in the morning. The room was spacious and even had a little kitchen in it, which was a bonus. Lovely family who run the homestay, very welcoming and friendly!

Bathroom was a little older, the shower head wouldn't stay up and AC took a while to work. But still great value for what we paid!

Warm and friendly, family style compound, close to the beach

This is a very friendly place. Lovely old style Balinese compound, with a family who is there all the time to help, advise, or answer questions. Lots of greenery, a sweet pool to swim in, good air con...everything you need in a very welcoming package.

Good location - right in the centre of Sanur. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They organised our boat trip and transfers which was very convenient.

There was no lamp in the room which was slightly annoying. Breakfast was delicious but the portions were on the small side.

Dirty rooms and linen, breakfast poor

The location is good, close to shops and beach. Staff were friendly.

Room was dirty. Had to ask for sheets for bed. Sheets had stains. Towels were not fresh, We're dirty, had holes. Pool area cluttered with stuff so not nice to sit there. Breakfast was poor. Also, we paid extra for a bigger bed, but just hot the same size bed as the other guests.

Homestay has nice small garden with small pool. Staff is friendly. Good location, quiet but just short walk to the main route.

The room would need a proper cleaning, now only floor was cleaned but lots of dust on top of furnitures and under the bed. The bathroom does not have any ventilation / window outside and due to that it has a serious moisture damage. The smell in the bathroom is strong and it cames to bedroom too even if we kept the door closed all the time. Cocroaches and millipedes in the bathroom and when I told to staff about them they just cleaned them away but no poisoning/balls etc. Due to bathroom problem and smell in the room I would advice to avoid at least the family room.
