Great location at a budget price

It's been a grand hotel in It's day. The facilities could use a bit of TLC, but it was clean enough and fairly comfortable. Good value for the price, considering the excellent location. This is not the place for a 'fussy Princess' to stay. But if you are used to budget travel in SE Asia, it's fine 🙂

We stayed in a room upstairs, and it was quite a climb for an 'older' couple, especially carrying luggage! The ground floor rooms looked nicer, and I would consider staying here again if a ground floor room was available.

Last minute booking at a cheap homestay

There were no breakfast options, but there was a shared kitchen for guests to use. The homestay is located directly behind a French bakery/cafe and in a good location/area of Sanur. Close to the beach and easy to walk to many restaurants, shops, cafes, massage spas etc. The bed was comfortable.

The room had a mouldy smell, which is normal for a budget room in Bali, but it was quite bad. The bathroom and the room in general were not clean. The shower was ok, as I expected for a cheap room in a homestay. The pool area and the general area of the homestay was a bit run down and dark and damp. I made sure to spray on mosquito repellant often and I used a plug-in mosquito repellant in the room.

the pool was lovely, location was perfect, staff very helpful and bed was huge and very comfy. there was also a mini fridge that was very helpful and a nice patio outside the room to sit and have a drink and space to dry towels/clothes

Fantastic location homestay

Fantastic location and staff extremely friendly. Loved that you could access a kitchen to cook and access to free drinking water. The pool was lovely to cool off in after a day at the beach. Overall a quiet comfortable stay.

Cleaning standards were below average and bedding supplied sheets, towels and bed quilt not up to standard. Old and very worn and stained. The room I was in the bathroom had not been renovated and water pressure was extremely poor although hot enough. The the toilet lid was moldy and toilet very old. The cleaning staff only cleaned and sanitized upon request and cleaning standards in the room was minimal. Unfortunately, with my experience as a long term slow traveler many hotels and home-stays are not value for money as the locals try to keep up with the demands of reopening after COVID.

Good choice overall and great value!

Great location, close to restaurants, cafe, shops, etc on the main street. But it's also far back enough where the property stays quiet. Easy walk to beach area. The staff was great and very accommodating for my late night check-in. Pool was nice, all in all a great value!

Bali Style

The family and staff that operate this homestay are very good and beautiful people. I love our morning conversations. Make you feel very welcome. Although the rooms are ageing they are clean with very comfy bed. Good air con. The position is fantastic. Walk out and you are in a nice area food and bars and shopping. Is a place we have stayed 3 times and will stay again. You get a true Bali feel staying here. If it is 5 star you like, stay in 5 star. If it is the Bali style you want, I would recommend Lastari. They have customers that come back every year for 25 years.

Bon pour une nuit seulement

Les draps de couleur brun. Je suggère d’utiliser une autre couleur que Le Brun pour les draps, un peu douteux comme couleur. Nous avons réservé pour 3 personnes et le lit d’appoint n’avaient pas été préparé. Nous sommes arrivés tard, le hôte était au courant et il n’a pas voulu mettre le lit.

Die Lage war gut für die Gegend, direkt neben netten Cafes und Läden.

Sehr sehr einfache Ausstattung, alt, ungepflegt und die FlipFlops möchte man auch innen nicht ausziehen. Außerdem riecht es sehr nach Schimmel…
