Overall recommendable

The new pool and bungalows right in front of it were nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the cafe next door great! The bathroom is wheelchair accessible. It’s also a nice short walk to the night market, the mall, laundry, massage and restaurants.

It does require severe renovations in some parts. Our first room close to the old pool had mold in the bathroom. They changed us to another one instantly though. In another one the AC wasn’t working. And I hurt my knee on some broken tiles inside the kids pool. But overall I’d still come again a it’s great value for the price and the staff go out of their way to help you.

Beautiful gardens, great pools, there are 2, 1 for kids and 1 for adults. The room was a decent size and there was parking for cars and scooters which you really do need as the location is close to the bypass.

Unfortunately I have to give a bad review for this place, there were some serious problems. I did not get the room I booked when I arrived and had to wait 4 days before I could move to it and was still charged the same amount. The wifi in both rooms was very bad, I had to go sit outside reception. The TV reception was also poor with a very fuzzy picture, not a problem for me as I don't watch tv but it could be for some people. The big problems I experienced were; There was only hot water for a shower between 10am and 7pm, like it was solar hot water with a broken booster. I did see people on the roof looking at the hot water system in the middle row of units but my side was not working for the 3 weeks of my stay. Very annoying and you would think all this was bad enough but every day or 2 a neighbor would burn rubbish and the smoke would come in through the air conditioner. It was horrible and when I complained to reception the man I spoke to didn't care. People need food, water and fresh air, its very important. I had no choice but to turn off my air conditioner as soon as I smelt the burning rubbish and leave the unit, it was horrible. My friend in the middle row of units was effected but not as badly. Until this problem is fixed I highly recommend not staying on the left hand side of Janan Villas. I think the more expensive 2 story places on the right side might not be effected by the smoke but I won't be back to check. I will stay somewhere else....

Better value for money elsewhere

Pool

Booked for 3 people but then told they don’t have extra beds. The staff seemed unhappy and very on edge and the facilities are basically falling apart. Guests were checking out early and moving rooms due to issues. The location isn’t bad but it’s more expensive than places of similar or better quality

Could not swim in the pools, the hottest pools I have ever come across in my travels.Needs a tidy up. No kettle, had to use a pot to boil water to make our tea and coffee, fridge and single gas burner is outside on your veranda.

Nice long (shallow) pools. Quiet back street location, though some traffic noise from highway. Nice plunge pool.

No daily drinking water, you have to buy a bottle. No electric kettle, so you have to boil a kettle on the hob, for which you need gas (a charge for this was mentioned but eventually not billed). A/C unit is under-sized for such a large room, and was either in need of a clean or servicing as it didn’t work well.

They initially asked for a 3% extra for credit card payment which is possible according to booking conditions. After discussion with the management they accepted to respect booking conditions.. Many mosquitos I'm the area The apartment needs maintenance and improvement of kitchen facilities.

Lovely pool, quiet area but close to everything. Hired their bikes which were great value & staff were helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Disappointing

Large space was nice. Swimming pool is huge and clean.

In need of renovation, the rendered walls were peeling and cracked and dirty. Inside the room needed a good deep clean, build up of dirt in corners and edges. Bathroom door handle was missing the striker, so door wouldn't stay closed, had to be locked. Curtains badly water stained, one of two burners on gas stove was broken, day bed was extremely high, difficult to get on and off, very thin rubber cushion was very uncomfortable. No comfy furniture to just sit on. Bed mattress was very hard. Breakfast if paid in advance was $5, but if you paid as you had it was just $3.50.

Great stay

Great accommodation for the budget conscious. Room and bathroom were large. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The two pools were really good. Nice and quiet area. We would stay again

A little away from the main street but not a big problem. Didn't have a Warung however they did do a nice breakfast and good warungs not too far away

Superb

We loved the villa. The ONLY downfall was that the kitchen was a bit old and broken down (cabinets) everything else was fine. It has two floors. A bed upstairs and a half bathroom. Downstairs there's another big bed, big full bathroom and opened kitchen. The pool was the BEST! we also rented out motorbike from the front desk. Do know that you have to buy the gas if you plan on cooking. The villa far exceeded our expectations. Pictures don't capture. We will come back here. Thank you.

Lovely place, great CLEAN pool and kind staff. Easy to walk to many places.

The property is in a great little alley way and a short 15 minute walk to the beach and Main Street of activity. The pool is wonderful, big and the additional pool was an added bonus. The room was HUGE! If I moved to Bali, I could easily see myself living in this one bedroom apartment.

The only two pool chairs that were in the sun, had nasty “Do Not Use” signs on them as they are owned by someone that lives there.

Lovely quiet place to stay

The villa was very spacious and pretty. The beds were comfortable and there was a hot water shower and a fridge. The kids loved the pool and the villa was walking distance to the shops and the beach.

Janan has a beautiful pool. It is one of the best things about the property. The two story villas are good, with kitchen and large fridge.

No breakfast available at the moment, but it was on previous visits. Location is inconvenient if you don’t like walking.

Excellent time for the whole family.

Location was excellent with laundry a couple doors down, convenience store, barber shop and most amazingly a market and collection of Warungs for dinner and dessert in the evenings. The lace was very comfortable, with a huge shower room, and pool was amazing for the kids. Beach was a 10min walk and food delivery service right to the front entrance was a real time saver too. Can’t wait to stay there again next time we come to Sanur.

Only thing I can think of is the TV reception for the kids Cartoon Network was a tiny bit hazy

Pleasant

Big overall villa area, roomy kitchen. Nice staff. Hot bath. Covered bike parking.

They didn’t have my ordered room, it was replaced by one floor two-bedroom. Despite more area, it’s a bit dark and moist, the kitchen is not sealed from the outside, lots of insect goes inside especially in the evening, prepare for fight with insects. Kitchen AC almost doesn’t cool. Room AC is rattling - noisy to sleep with it on. Room walls are dirty and require repainting/repairing. Rat entered the toilet one day, fortunately quickly left.

Very good

Simplicity of the room. Bed is good. The ambience is rather quiet. In the morning, you walk is surrounded by beautiful trees and flora around the villa.

Access to food is a distance walk. The good thing is grab food delivery food and groceries to the doorstep.
