Ada and also the south African lady that worked at the weekends, were so friendly and welcoming, they could not do enough for you, they made the stay a much better experience. The breakfast was really good, generous portions if you were having a "hot breakfast" I had overnight oats 2 mornings, the portions were huge, I couldn't eat it all, even with a slightly smaller version on day 2. My husband had the porridge, other than that we had the buffet breakfast, lots of lovely fruits chopped up daily, a variety of cereals and yoghurts, mini pastries and toast and as much coffee as you could drink!
The unwelcome "welcome", we arrived at 10.30, we had travelled 5 hours to get there. The website said check in from 10.30, we were told in no uncertain terms that we were early as he was still cooking breakfast, we were talked through what was what and given our key which wouldn't become active until 1.30. I appreciate that apparently, we were early but there is a way to make guests feel welcome whilst still delivering that message.

Very clean, comfortable room, free parking just outside and outstanding breakfast with many hot and cold options. All the staff were very friendly and the location is perfect to walk to Windermere town, Windermere lake and Bo'ness. Would definitely recommend.
