Alpine chalet accommodation in quiet location

A vast room, a good breakfast spread, and a sauna (which I didn't use). Staff very friendly. Bus stop (on the Maria Gern route) is just across the road though the hotel is in walkable distance from town, if uphill.

I couldn't find an English-language station on the TV, Some signage would benefit from English translation.

All star location and facilities. Even tho I was to busy to use them.

Great accommodation with onsite parking. Which I could see my bike from the room that made me sleep more at easy. In a small area on the outside of the town. Stunning property, location, scenery. The staff were very helpful to facilitate my needs and spoke great English that made conversation easier.

Peace and quiet in the midst of mountains

This Family owned establishment exceeded all expectations. A very nice rural location, friendly staff, a room with style, very appealing breakfast buffet, all together a good value.

The stuff wasn’t helpful at all, we didn’t checked check-in time and we were late and we were calling and writing if it’s possible to just pickup the keys somewhere else (e.g. at somebody’s house cause we needed some place to stay) and nobody answered the phone, nobody helped us so we had to pay for other night somewhere else. Since this accommodation was expensive I expected whole other level of help. Also breakfast wasn’t special, the usual with no extra.

The location of this hotel is so great, quiet, safe residential neighborhood and it has great view. Breakfast has so many food and with good quality. Next time, if I am in that area, I would like to stay at the same place.

Good room(s), big bathroom, excellent breakfast. Indoor pool and sauna are very clean and a great addition on a cold and rainy afternoon. Friendly satff, good parking at no extra cost. Recommended for those who are ready to use their car during their stay. Although the hotel is only 0.7 km from the city centry, the walk is over a hill and feels fairly long, especially on a rainy day.

The Wifi connection was unstable and the internet was not available in the room. We kept receiving emails about the check-in times (before and on the day of our arrival) even after confirming that we would arrive at the expected time. ONE email (or max. two) would have been enough.

Lovely, clean hotel in berchtesgaden. Room spacious with nice big balcony. Breakfast good and the wifi worked in our room which i wasnt expecting from previous reviews. Unfortunetly the weather wasnt nice enough to use the pool but the garden and pool area looked lovely.

Its a 15 minute walk from the centre which is very nice but pretty hilly and tough going with my 22kg suitcase. There is a bus that runs from bus/train station and drops you very close to hotel but only runs once per hour and stops around 6.15pm. We struggled to find anywhere open in bertchesgaden to get juice/snacks in the evening but they have a fridge in the hotel that you can get some cold drinks from.

Disappointed after previous visit. Staff attitude and hotel rules are self centered

Stayed here 3 years ago and really enjoyed but post pandemic the atmosphere has changed dramatically. Owners had no interest in any inter action with the customers which was extremely rude. They knew we were returning customers which they neither acknowledged or even wished us a nice stay. At breakfast, no courtesy shown to us as all they seemed to care about was clearing your plates and glasses the moment you finished your last bite of a particular dish. Was very uncomfortable atmosphere and was made to feel as if they were doing us a favour by letting us stay in their hotel. Think they'd forgotten we'd spent a lot of money to be there! Complete change from 3 years ago. Also the number of rules they have plastered everywhere is draconion. Don't worry, they're in English as well as German. But if you want to read any of the material that is helpful such as instructions for the room safe or events that are on in the village, sorry but they're only in German! Oh by they way, to fit around them, you must check in between 2-6pm otherwise you don't get in, and you must leave the hotel and check out by 10am. Great eh! In response.... I had no problem with my wife. Just shows how detached you are from your guests as you're obviously confused us with another family 😂😂😂. We had a wonderful 3 weeks travelling in Germany but were simply disappointed with our stay in your hotel. Sorry but learn to deal with criticism. I had absolutely no issue with our room. I paid for a balcony room....that isn't the cheapest. Our room was excellent and we had no complaints with it It was your manner and attitude is what we were disappointed with during our stay. Your response to that criticism just supports our view!

quiet wonderful location

The view from the balcony and the sorroundings were wonderful. You can recharge your batteries here from the nature all around. We loved being able to go for a swim after breakfast and than sunbathing on the lawn. The hotel is located ideally, very close to the forest and you can get to the town center by foot in aprox 10-15 min. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet is rich, we feel that we made an inspired choice staying here.

Don't count too much on the bus or public transport that's supposed to take you from the train station to the hotel. It was out of use due to construction work when we got there, so we had to take a taxi. The rest we managed by going on foot to the town center.

good stay in a beautiful location, frustration with lack of basic amenities in room

one of the quietest hotels I have stayed in, beautiful scenery and spacious room

no access to any facilities in the Tom other than a fridge, no way to make coffees or to give the children warm drinks. coffee available but you have to pay. kitchenette in room but this is all locked up. frustrating when you’re 10mins from town and no restaurant on site.
