Location
Very odd shaped, hard to maneuver, beds and pillows were not comfortable, the host didn't seem to believe me when I told him I had reservations.
6.0 / 10.0
Room was good space, clean, quiet. Location was a bit far from city but it should be fine if you take a car.
Breakfast was quite nice
WIFI was very weak, almost could not use. Signal did not reach to the room. Staff were very impolite. I have never met such staff in Germany.
1: I arrive earlier than check in time. 2 staffs (male and female) at the reception. Both noted that I came in. Female talked on the for long time so I couldn’t ask my question to her. Male staff came in so, I asked possibility early check in but he spoke Germany so I said I don’t speak Germany and asked early check in. He said just “No” and ignored another question.
2: We wanted to eat dinner but request must before 18:00. We didn’t know and just came to the restaurant space. One female staff said “what do you want” with very mad attitude. We said want to have dinner. She said “why do you came to late, must order before 18:00”. We didn’t be informed that before so apologize but she continued complained and went to the kitchen. We apologize once and give up to eat because of the time. She changed face said “ah, ok” with smile. It was not attitude to the customer.
3: Same male staff, when I wanted to check out, other guest was on the check out process. I waited and when my turn was coming, he ignored again even though I put the room key on the front desk. I waited but he didn’t accept so I said “can I check out?” He stared speak German. I said I don’t speak German then he stared to speak English (actually he speakers English well)
Staff in this hotel were very strange. Looks like discrimination to the other race.

Nice and peaceful hotel surrounded by nature — perfect for a relaxing stay. Room was well clean. Kitchen equipment is good. Nearby hotel there is a playground for kids which kids really enjoy playing.
Overall experience was good, but one front desk staff member (woman with dark hair)spoke to us disrespectfully on our second evening. While sitting in the lobby with my kids, we were questioned about our room number in a way that felt suspicious and unwelcoming.
A small incident, but it affected our impression. With better customer service, this place could be excellent.

Great location, free parking, the playground outside, proximity to Berchtesgaden and the eagles nest, breakfast was great. The skytop restaurant was also close and very good!
There’s no other food options to walk to around the hotel. Our shower and sink weren’t draining properly but they fixed it promptly. We could have used more than one pillow, or just some extra pillows for the room.

Breakfast was great, fresh fruits and berries, very good selection of everything. Beds were great, pillows not so much. Breakfast staff was polite and nice. Very nice mountain view outside. Nice mountain area.
On our 3 night stay there was no soap in the room until the last day, even the soap tray was missing, we thought that a soap was just not included. Also, we received the cups for the last day to the bathroom for teeth washing. First night we used coffee spoons, but they were not changed/washed during our stay.
There was a kettle in the room but no electrical outlet above the counter. Had to boil the water on the floor by the bed.
The receptionist lady with dark polka hair cut was awful and ruined our otherwise nice stay at the hotel. When we were checking out she made a scene in front of other customers about the tourist tax that we were not aware about. 3,10 euros/day/person, I saw how her male colleague seemed shocked about her behavior. The amount was minor, but should have been mentioned at the total costs, when making the reservation through Booking.com. After our stay we read about the tourist tax from internet and discovered that in return for the tourist tax the hotel was supposed to give us Berchtesgaden Gästegarte (Guest Cards) that we would have had free bus rides and discounts at attractions in the area. We did not receive these cards.
We have stayed in this hotel before and loved it also back then, but the same receptionist made a scene also before about the payment methods with all four couples trying to check out at that time.

Pretty area
A title farther from town than I was thinking. Very winding road.

We had a unit with 2 sizeable comfortable rooms for 3 of us, and the bath and toilet are separate which is great. It was cold and the heaters were excellent. It is up on a mountain resort so there is no amenities like grocery stores, and Berchgarten town is a 10 minutes drive away. Value for money.

Room was extremely spacious, soundproof, plenty of storage space, bed comfortable.
We were met at check in by Bianca who was not exactly the friendliest, in fact she behaved like a “teacher”! She overlooked to provide us with the WiFi password so that we had to come downstairs to ask about it - and she emphasised that the WiFi password slip is always given to the guest upon check in, which both my husband and I were certain she overlooked to give to us, but she offered no apology and insisted she had given it to us. She is also not very friendly when speaking, no welcome vibe at all. In contrast to her, is her colleague, Mario, whom we had the pleasure to meet for the next two days during breakfast - very friendly and helpful.
In the room, a microwave would have been nice to have. The hairdryer wasn’t great, it was way too hot and strong, so much that I felt the heat on my neck, and it auto shut itself 3 times during my blow dry due to being overheated. Handle also too slippery.

This is a modern hotel, with elevators and a reception desk that's stocked with snacks. The attendant provided us with bus passes which allowed us to ride for free to/from the town (taxi is about 10 Euro). Our room had a decent-sized balcony and plenty of room to stretch out. The place was also quite clean.
The sites don't tell you this, but it's quite remote! It's easily 15 minutes by taxi; 20-25 by bus. Additionally, there is only one restaurant in the area (next door), so you'll want to make reservations ASAP. We had to take the bus into town and ensure that we finished in time to catch the last bus back.

Great breakfast every morning. Staff was very friendly! Loved the location being close to the Eagles Nest and Documentation Center. The restaurant next door is good too! Everything was clean and I really enjoyed my stay!
Can't think of anything I didn't like. Everything met my expectations. Just make sure to stop at a store down in Berchtesgaden For some snacks and water if you want them as the lobby for the hotel closes at 6pm I believe.

Excellent place to stay in Berchestgarden. Enjoyed our stay there. Sufficient facilities. Very comfortable room and bed. Close to Eagle's Nest. Good base to visit the region.

Location is nice, if you don't mind driving a bit further, since hotel is quite far from the highway. Good breakfast, nice and clean rooms.
Wifi is hidden and is working really bad, it was impossible to use it.

Flat was really clean. everything organised in the flat how it should be. There was a separate bathroom from toilet which it was really great.

It was not good.
Everything. The room was oddly set up, the accommodations where ok, but lacked pillows. We only had one flat pillow per person. There was dog hair covering the sofa so I was unable to sit on it as I am allergic. Staff leaves at 6pm so unfortunately there was not one onsite to help in the evening with the issues that I stated. The hotel was ok, but I would never recommend it or stay there again.

One of the best accommodation in Germany. Beautiful accommodation, delicious breakfast, quiet and peaceful surroundings, very friendly staff. Suitable for children. This hotel met all our expectations.

Very nice location, not far from the places of historic interest. We used it as a starting point for our hut tour around the Koenigssee which was also great. Good wireless, which is not often the case in this part of the Alps.

This is an absolutely beautiful, stunning place with the charm of the typical Bavarian Alps. The staff is extremely friendly and very accomodating. Rooms were like little apartments, totally clean and modern, with kitchen, beautiful bathroom, separate bedroom and living area. Views and selection of outdoor activities are phenomenal.
Since we were a geology field trip[ of 12 people, our interest were in the of the Berchtesgaden vicinity. You are also close to historic Salzburg and other great locations.
BTW, you are very close (2km) to the "Eagles Nest" location and museum, if you are a WWII history buff.
Not much we didn't like. It is a little off the beaten path. The drive up to the facility is a but lengthy but very pleasant on paved, alpine roads.

Unique view, quiet, nature was like a fresh vegetable bowl. Room was very spacious and nice. Bed was very comfortable.
The walls were thin, we woke up when the next rooms children did start sceaming and running at 6 am on both mornings.
During time of departure the hotel receptionist was a little bit unpolite. We and the previous customer both got embarrasing treatment as our hotel bill was more than 300 euros and the receptionist tried to get payment by contactless payment and surprise the payment did not go through. The only feedback was that card is not working or there is not enough money on our account. I know I had that much money that I could have paid several weeks stay on this hotel. The treatment we got was very humiliating because this happened among of other hotel customers.

The views are amazing and the check in process was super easy. Also the room was very spacious and well appointed. Parking was readily available too.
The only thing I would recommend is if you want dinner within walking distance make sure you call ahead to one of the two restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel. If not you will have to drive about 15 mins down into Berchtesgaden for food.

Beautiful location . Nice , large and clean rooms. Good email communication leading up to the stay.
The front desk and cleaning staff were not particularly friendly. Very expensive for what it was.
