Amazing view and spacious family room. Enjoyable spa area.

American family of 4, staying end May. A delightful stay in their spacious family room with 2 bedrooms. The views are amazing!! Clean. Good shower. Fantastic hosts. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. A comfortable area to lounge and enjoy the view. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool area and spa to include a sauna and massaging shower. Unfortunately the hot tub was not in service yet. We enjoyed use of the bath robes. Lots of nice touches all around!! Convenient parking on site. Thank you!!

Not much not to like. If we're being picky we would point out that some of the fixtures and furnishings in the rooms look a little tired and worn but cleanliness is an A plus, which is more important to us. It seems that many improvements are being made in and around the hotel slowly and it shows.

Quiet relaxing stay away from the crowd, perfect for us.

The View from our window was amazing looking into the valley and across the mountains, perfect. The hotel is under renovation so somethings are not perfect, YET. The big picture is taking shape. The room was basic though the bed comfortable.

The pool and sauna not available accept on request, bit disappointing but didn't take away from our stay.

The location was simply stunning it was on my bucket list for years..you really do have to see it with your own eyes to believe it..

Well where do I start with this part of the review.. and may I just say it's with real heavy heart that I write a review like this..the owner Greg or Craig was incredibly rude ..after arriving from a 6 hour drive from frankfurt I was greeted with my partner like something on the bottom of your shoe...so what a start to our holiday..on being shown the room which was very basic at best we decided to go down stairs for a drink as advertised everywhere just to enjoy the scenery and put a smile on our faces..however there was nothing to drink or eat so had to go out yet again..I could go on but I refuse to let him spoil any more of my memories of such a wonderful part of the world..do yourselves a favour and just stay next door at alpenhotel denninglehen it's a much better stay with everything you need for a comfortable stay..with no gestapo behind the reception desk..

Beautiful scenery from each corner of the hotel, good value and friendly staff.

Amazing view, very friendly staff, super clean and neat.. beautiful balconies and patios for everyone to have a relaxing afternoon with complementary Eilles Tea or coffee that they offer. Our room was very spacious and bed mattress was super comfortable. Guests can also use the swimming pool which had warm water and was very pleasant. It exceeded our expectations and for the price it's was a very good deal.

View is absolutely unbelievable! Breakfast was great! The room was very comfortable with a great view as well. Lots of various patios, balconies, and decks to relax on and enjoy the scenery. Overall a great experience.

Nothing really. I wouldn't recommend making the first drive up to the property at night if you are not familiar with the location. The property is up the hill a bit and can be a little tricky of a drive at first. But after you do it once or twice it's not really a big deal, actually very scenic. The drive is sure worth it because the view from the property is amazing!

Sauna in the bedroom

Nice view, good facility and spacious, nice lobby.

Unfortunately we received the room on the very top floor, it is without air condition, and with a small child it was impossible to sleep there, outside was extremely hot (32 degree at 8pm) and inside was around 29 degree, with no chance of letting the air in. It was fully booked, we could not change rooms while the below floor was not that hot. We decided to leave and ended up not sleeping there.

A large room with nice views and a good breakfast.

The rooms were large and the bed had a good, newer mattress. We had a nice terrace with a lot of seating. The breakfast was ok- I’d have liked some more fruit. It was very clean and the staff were helpful. The room decor was so dated that it was charming. Think 1970s- very fun especially when done with new sheets and mattresses.

The hairdryer has Chinese writing, made a burning smell and didn’t actually dry my hair. The carpet was ancient and gross. The road access is a bit challenging.

Exceptional

We loved our experience at the hotel. The staff was really friendly and they even took us to a restaurant one night when we asked them, we really appreciate that. The room was really nice and the view was amazing. Everything from breakfast was delicious. We will come back in summer time, thanks!

Only bad thing was the pool temperature which was cold but we enjoyed it anyways.

Shinning-like hotel with a view next to the mythical Rossfeld strasse.

Old ski hotel next to the mythical Rossfeld strasse with a mountain and valley view. The staff doesn’t speak german but is very nice.

It was snowing therefore almost impossible to reach the hotel without having a 4x4. The hotel is a bit old a creepy and unfortunately the swimming pool is not eated.

The guest house is in a wonderful location with a view of the mountains. Varied breakfast offer. Popular sights within easy reach.

There was no possibility to cook our own food in the room. Hard to reach even with Waze.

The location was nice.

It was not clean in the room. The staff try to do a good job, they are friendly, but not capable to do the job. The villa is surrounded by a big construction site.

Difficult to find food if you're wanting to eat after 8pm. Renovation works spoilt the views somewhat. A bit stuck in the 70s.

Nice stay in Berchtesgaden

This stay was pleasant surprise. Staff was very nice, helpful and even speak Czech a bit. It's located on the hill and provides nice views. Breakfast offered all we needed. Parking is in front of the property and WiFi worked flawlessly. You can reach Kehlsteinhaus within 10 minutes by car. Great price to value ratio, can recommend to everyone.

There are construction works at the hotel, but this didn't affect us at all.
