A rare find for Cologne - comfortable and affordable

Poll is a quiet, village-like area not far from Cologne centre. Ubers to and from Koelnmesse and Altstadt were plentiful, so getting around was easy. The apartment was spacious and well appointed, with comfortable furnishings, a comfortable bed (important!) and a spacious bathroom. Lots of nice touches - wine and refreshments in the fridge. Lots of amenities in the bathroom, plus a good shower, thick towels and great mirror. The apartment was spotlessly clean. And Markus is a fantastic host!

A Cozy and Welcoming Home with an Artistic Touch

I absolutely adore accommodations where you can feel like at home, in comfort, and have all the little details at your fingertips that you'd never find in a hotel room. The room was clean and had a cozy, homey atmosphere. I have a soft spot for decor, so I took particular pleasure in the embroidered curtains, textiles, and color choices. It felt like walking into a decor shop, only it was warm and homely. What makes this place truly unique is that one of the owners is an artist, so an additional pleasure of staying here was being able to admire his picturesque creations. In terms of practicality, everything was top-notch: clean, a very comfortable bed, a separate bedroom and living room, a well-equipped kitchen, appliances, an iron, and an ironing board (which came in handy as we were on a business trip). There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and an abundance of little amenities, shampoos, teas, coffees - the ones you can only find when a place is truly lived in. As for the location, we needed to be near the TUV for work, and it was within walking distance. However, we also took leisurely walks to the city center, which was about an hour's walk along the picturesque riverbank. Special thanks to the owners who were always available, allowed us to check out later than the set time and were overall extremely accommodating

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped

Markus was a fantastic host and stayed up late to let us in when our flight was delayed and to drop our keys off on the last night, all round great guy. The property itself was really spacious, plenty of room for the 3 of us. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all you needed if you wanted to self cater. Furthermore, the train stop is a 2 minute walk and only takes 10mins to reach the centre.

Owner is lovely and all the extras were such a nice touch! Comfortable beds and it’s very easy to access the city centre with a short tram ride and it’s just next door to several shops! Very affordable and very relaxed with check out times so it suited us best!
