Relatively easy to reach to the Cologne Arena and the Main Train station (about 20 min by foot). Everything else was a complete disaster... so be carefully what you choose. The picture they posted have nothing to do with the reality. It's hard to believe that such a 'hotel' exists in Germany, in particular in a city like Cologne.

The apartment was a disaster in terms of cleanliness. The walls were dirty, the floor was sticky, there were bugs (including silverfish), the window frames were filthy, and the curtains had lost their original color long ago – nothing seems to have ever been properly cleaned. Let me add that the kitchenette water tap did not work, the toilet water tank was not ok (they fixed next day), the freezer was absolutely infect. Booking.com did nothing to help resolve the issue. If you expect them to support you in such cases, think again. I will be escalating this further, as it feels like they are protecting the property instead of the customer.

It's got some problems, but can't complain too much with the good price.

Good value. Whole apartment in the center for a relatively low price. Nice place just to sleep and make your own breakfast or late-night snacks.

The fridge was broken and the bathroom was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Not a nice place if you stay in for a long time.

Basics were met - washing, sleeping. I needed a cheap accommodation solution which was met.

Great communication from the A-partments team, especially about the security pin to enter the building and pin to access lock box for the key. All the basics were there - shower, toilet, toilet paper, kitchen sink, crockery, fridge, lighting, beds, closet, storage space.

The bathroom stank of rotten egg gas, presumably something wrong with the toilet cistern. Unfortunately, my child has a sensitive nose, so this was bad. The shower head was broken, so I need to use a rubber elastic band and spoon to prop it up for basic showering, also undesirable.

Despite the great locations, the room was not good for me.

Amazingly well located. The check-in process was also quite easy.

Mold everywhere; no Wi-Fi connection in my room; curtains were too light, so the sun would wake you up at 5am; aged furniture.

Very dirty and bad value for money

the only positive thing was the flexible check in

The place was very dirty and smelly. Worst value for money and in urgent need of some repairs. The shower was broken, there was no basic toiletries and only a single small towel per person. There was even mold in the window area and the fridge was super noisy during the night. I would not recommend it!

we made the best of a not fab situation and we were not going to let this affect our trip

We ended up in a location and meet some amazing people which we would not have in the place we booked

We ubered to the location we booked, we were sent a text the day before we arrived with a different property address no where near where we booked so we had to take another uber to that address, we tried contacting property manager for assistance and still have not heard from them been 3 days, we had no towels for showering, no bath mats - just 3 hand towels, the shower faucet is broken and more water comes out of the hose then the shower head, the light in the bathroom is continually flickering but we didn't want to tighten the bulb because of the wire sticking out

looked nothing like the photos. the shower didn’t work at all it was only cold water to the point we had to wash in the sink. lights broke, and the apartment block smelt of weed. also we had 2 single duvets for a double bed, the Wi-Fi didn’t work and shower pole was broken.

Bad

We booked an apartment in central Cologne and without telling us we’re moved 13km out to the suburbs. Every where closed by 10:30. The bed was a pull down bed, so no better than a camp bed, we got two hand towels, both were very tatty and mine had holes. The staff wouldn’t respond at all to emails. My worst experience with any booking website.

That there were no towels, and mostly that the apartment was 1hr commute via public transport to the city centre, or 1hr and 17min walk to city centre! be careful when booking as we booked city centre location, but A-partner changed location last minute and failed to advise that the new location was week outside the city centre - where the other part of our group were staying. This meant we had to by a daily travel card, and lost some much time travelling back and forth to our apartment.

We booked these apartments in city centre. Once we arrived at the address, where was with booking confirmation, we found out that we will live in different place. It was about 15min drive from city centre, and from the place where we reserved. They cheating and give the wrong location on booking map platform. For these reason i spend extra 110euros only for taxi to reach city centre.

Allright location just south of the downtown area, in a quiet neighborhood. Easy access to the keys through a keylock

It is quite a walk to the Cathedral though, you better use the scooters. The apt doesn't have an AC unit and it got very hot during the day. Overall, the cleanliness and the contemporariness is not what you would expect in the 21st century. Especially in the bathroom. It needs a renovation. The faucet had air in it and was spitting water at me, the TV is so small you can barely see it from the bed :D So nothing major just minor inconveniances. Livable, but not lovable

The worst travel experience in my life! Highly NOT recommended!

Nothing, there was absolutely nothing that I liked!!!

I’ve been to over 40 countries in 4 continents and that was definitely the worst experience I’ve ever had! Problems started from the beginning - the whole communication with the host was in German so you HAVE TO speak German. I couldn’t get the keys so I called the host. He was the most terrible and the rudest person ever! Screaming and shouting on me because I was in hurry (I really needed to use a restroom!). He was arrogant, extremely impolite and unhelpful! He was even making some stupid comments about my name which I found racist! Because I couldn’t enter the building, I asked about some assistance. He said that I had to wait 5min. I was waiting over 30min and no one came. When I finally entered the apartment, I was even more disappointed. The apartment didn’t look even 10% as good as in the pictures. It was very dirty and smelly, there were holes in the curtains and the wallpaper, as well as marks on the walls and the floor. And it was furnished with the cheapest stuff you can get! All of the dishes were really dirty, just like all of the floors and furniture (dust, food leftovers, rubbish). They left just 2 small towels for 3 people staying there for 3 nights! They didn’t even provide the cheapest soap to wash your hands! Seriously, it was a nightmare. Besides that the place was very noisy (it’s an old block with very thin walls) so no chance to rest during the day or to sleep properly at night. To prove that I do not exaggerate, see the pictures that I took there. To sum up - highly not recommended, unless to your enemy only!

Disappointing

the position is very comfortable.

They left me only two cover sheets for me to dry off after showering for the four days I stayed in the apartment, when I arrived at the place the apartment was not ready , before that I asked a day in advance if I could arrive at least 1 hour before the time and they denied , but when I got to the apartment they made me wait for another 30 minutes I entered the code they gave me is simply the machine did not give me the keys. I sent a message and waited for 10 minutes for the reply and I was informed that someone would come to help me after this time the boy comes from inside the building with the keys and gives me . in other words, it was all a lie they were still tidying up the apartment. on the day of departure 10.50 there was already someone knocking on the door telling me to leave the apartment I never hope to come back in this apartment.

They put nice pictures of apartments and in reality they give you a completely diferente apartment (dirty, smaller). It’s a scam and they won’t give you your money back, the owner does not have sympathy. Don’t ever book with this property.

The location is excellent...I think you are paying this high price only for the location. Bed was comfortable... that's it!

The room didn't even look close to the pictures shown. The furniture (chair and table) was broken. We were scared to sit on those chairs Staff told us to park in an expensive parking lot which was on the other side of the river. In the end we found cheap parking lot about 400 meters from the apartment. The apartment wasn't really clean...the shower was a mess. Never again! not worth the money.

Good

Apartment was quite clean, great location from which you can easily reach all the touristic objects. Easy check in and a private stay.

When I asked if there is possibility to check in late, since we had a late flight, I was answered that all the check ins after 8 pm is at my own risk. Of course that made me worried already before the trip. The thing is that there was no issue with the check in, since there were a key box with the code. We got to the apartment as planned and my worries before the trip was unnecessary. Room was different than the in picture, much simpler. Had no bath towels ( I don't know how it's in Germany but other booking or airbnb places have always had towels). Very squeeky bed.
