High Price low level of hotel. No friendly professionals, dirty room, low quality of amenities; low breakfast quality and a lot more.

Practical, comfortable stay and a reasonable price

Good location quiet yet near the center. 15-20 min walk to central station and near bus stops. Room has a mini fridge, espresso machine and hair dryer. Kettle also available and safe. Good bathroom yet a bit small and sink drains a bit slow, yet still good design and not too old. Work desk and tv. Decent size room and had a side river view which was nice. Bed was comfortable. Didn’t have breakfast but seemed good variety. A very practical stay and good price.

A very comfortable stay.

The room was a good size, with a large, very comfortable bed, and I appreciated having the coffee machine and mini-fridge as well as a kettle. I was also pleased that the hotel is Green Globe certified. The breakfast every morning offered an excellent choice (including vlaai of course!), and the staff were very efficient about clearing away, and refilling the coffee machine as required.

Very nice short stay

I stayed here for one night because I attended a nearby concert. The location was really good for that, and the centre is also close by. I was scared reading the reviews, but all was perfect. The room was super clean, there were coffee, towels and soap, all as expected. The receptionists were friendly. I don't know if I was lucky or the rest were unlucky, but my short stay was perfect.

I'm nitpicking, but the pillows are a tiny bit too hard, but that is just my preference.

Great location for exploring Maastricht as only a 5 minute walk in to the centre. Secure private parking a bonus....at a price. Drinks rather expensive.

Good but a cock up over booking still unresolved

Booking.com/bastion made a mess of my booking. Ordered a double room for 2 nights and sadly. my partner could not come. I requested my booking be cahanged to a single room and had a response saying this was being dealt with. At this point I booked a single room . Imagine my surprise when I arrived I had been charged for both rooms!! This could not be changed by Bastion. Since then I have been credited with the cost of the single room ( I should have been credited for the cost of the double room) I was told at some stage I would be credited with about €14 since I stayed in a more expensive room. Nothing recived so far any way. I have written a letter a few days ago to your office demanding a rebate for the difference between the double room and the single room. I am not giving all the details again since you have had these from me many times already!

Towels were not changed every day Coffee capsules were delivered only on first 2 days Windows are not opening and through ventilation is very load from the street Bathroom - the shower stock was working bad and water after the shower was on all bathroom floor

Short Break

We stay here at the Bastion every time we come to Maastricht it is very central with secure parking. Marit & Sebastion were lovely.

The front of the hotel is littered with cigarette ends it is not a good look & could easily be rectified with some sort of receptacle to put them in. It is a very simple fix & would make a huge difference to the appearance at the front of the hotel. Also need two pillows & I did request extra pillows but didn’t get them - disappointing!

Good position, close to the city center but in a quiet position (especially during Carneval celebrations)

Room was not cleaned every day, unless specifically requested. One evening, we were in the room and someone from the staff knocked the door and entered without waiting for us to reply, which we found weird.

The bed and location were the only things that were good.

The matras and pillows were very comfortable.

They gave us a room with one bed instead of two and they provided two pillows instead of three. The sheets and pillow covers were dirty. Around midnight, we came back to the hotel from a birthday party. We were very tired, especially our child. The hotel was already closed, so to get in we had to call, but no one picked up the phone. We rang the bell and called many times. After 15 minutes someone finally came and let us in along with other people that were waiting as well.
