From arrival, which was late in the evening for me, I felt right at home by Jempiring's warm welcome. She truly made me feel like family and offered invaluable insight on things to do, places to go and best ways to navigate. The compound was simply beautiful in the daylight, and it felt comforting to walk out every morning and see Nature at work. The breakfasts were so delicious, as there were several options to choose from. I had my favorite breakfast that I would mostly lean into, and I also tried the other options since I was there for a month. I really loved the feeling of being with a family.
The property is centrally located so it's easy to get around, whether on foot, by Grab or rental - I definitely recommend a motorbike over an actual car. There are plenty of things to do, see and places to eat, so there is never a dull moment, (unless you intentionally make it one). The entire family is incredibly welcoming and I was humbled to witness their day-to-day navigations and morning ritual. I cannot emphasize enough how much I felt at home during my time.
Inside, the room had all the necessary basics and comforts. The bed was perfection, the bathroom was functional - I loved being able to shower without getting the rest of the bathroom soaked. The water pressure and heat were ideal, and the design felt like a bit of an oasis. During the later half of my stay, I kept the aircon unit on "DRY" instead of "COOL" which significantly minimized the humidity while still keeping the room at a comfortable to temperature. While I had my days where I mostly stayed indoors, I loved that there were cafes nearby where I could get work done and switch up the scene. This property is ideal for solo travelers and those wanting to connect with local life.
The room doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight, so that encouraged me to sit on the patio or go to a cafe to have that experience.

Jempiring was the loveliest host! Her and her family have been so welcoming and kind, we felt very comfortable. The daily breakfast was beautifully presented and so delicious. Location is perfect, very central but still quiet since it is a back road. We would definitely come back! Thank you so much for your hospitality Jempiring!
Nothing we did not like, but we recommend to request the room upstairs since that one had much better lighting and privacy. We were allowed to stay up there and only moved downstairs for our last night when the upper room was booked.

We had an amazing time at Ubud and staying at Jempiring homestay was the best decision. We reached late at night but Jempiring ensured a smooth check in and answered all our questions patiently. The location is perfect, it is right where we needed to be for exploring Ubud, but in a quiet lane so we got the best of both worlds. Jempiring is amazing, it was always so good to talk to her and she helped improve our plans by giving suggestions so that we can make the most of our time. Breakfast was delicious and served beautifully outside our cottage. She even gave us packed breakfast for the days we started early, like 4am.
The homestay is beautiful and totally recommend it to everyone looking for a place to stay in Ubud.
