This was more than a stay; this felt like being with family.

From arrival, which was late in the evening for me, I felt right at home by Jempiring's warm welcome. She truly made me feel like family and offered invaluable insight on things to do, places to go and best ways to navigate. The compound was simply beautiful in the daylight, and it felt comforting to walk out every morning and see Nature at work. The breakfasts were so delicious, as there were several options to choose from. I had my favorite breakfast that I would mostly lean into, and I also tried the other options since I was there for a month. I really loved the feeling of being with a family. The property is centrally located so it's easy to get around, whether on foot, by Grab or rental - I definitely recommend a motorbike over an actual car. There are plenty of things to do, see and places to eat, so there is never a dull moment, (unless you intentionally make it one). The entire family is incredibly welcoming and I was humbled to witness their day-to-day navigations and morning ritual. I cannot emphasize enough how much I felt at home during my time. Inside, the room had all the necessary basics and comforts. The bed was perfection, the bathroom was functional - I loved being able to shower without getting the rest of the bathroom soaked. The water pressure and heat were ideal, and the design felt like a bit of an oasis. During the later half of my stay, I kept the aircon unit on "DRY" instead of "COOL" which significantly minimized the humidity while still keeping the room at a comfortable to temperature. While I had my days where I mostly stayed indoors, I loved that there were cafes nearby where I could get work done and switch up the scene. This property is ideal for solo travelers and those wanting to connect with local life.

The room doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight, so that encouraged me to sit on the patio or go to a cafe to have that experience.

Location is perfect, very central but still quiet since it is a back road. We would definitely come back! Thank you so much for your hospitality Jempiring!

Nothing we did not like, but we recommend to request the room upstairs since that one had much better lighting and privacy. We were allowed to stay up there and only moved downstairs for our last night when the upper room was booked.

Lovely Homestay

We had an amazing time at Ubud and staying at Jempiring homestay was the best decision. We reached late at night but Jempiring ensured a smooth check in and answered all our questions patiently. The location is perfect, it is right where we needed to be for exploring Ubud, but in a quiet lane so we got the best of both worlds. Jempiring is amazing, it was always so good to talk to her and she helped improve our plans by giving suggestions so that we can make the most of our time. Breakfast was delicious and served beautifully outside our cottage. She even gave us packed breakfast for the days we started early, like 4am. The homestay is beautiful and totally recommend it to everyone looking for a place to stay in Ubud.

Welcoming, comfortable and family-style homestay

Super comfy bed, great location (central but quiet at night) and very welcoming! Jempiring and her husband were so sweet to me and made me feel right at home. Communicative and generous, they were so accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and the AC was great!

I arrived right in the middle of a lot of religious ceremonies, which meant music and noise til quite late at night (and early morning). Plus it was the end of rainy season, which apparently affected the WIFI (so if you want to work, there’s a great coworking space 3 min walk away with better internet).

Wonderful stay in Ubud

We truly enjoyed our stay at this homestay, everything was perfect for us. Perfectly positioned in Ubud - super central but in a calm side street - clean and spacious room, delicious breakfast and lovely owner. Definitely recommended!

Exceptional! Made us feel like we were at home!

If we ever visit Ubud again, this is exactly where we would like to stay. Yes, it was that good. Absolute value for money, location is really nice. It is situated on a ridge, just in front of Pura Dalem, away from the chaos of the streets, but all prominent locations of Ubud within 5-10 mins of walking distance. Jempiring, Aayu and their whole family were so nice and caring, breakfast was awesome and Jempiring was kind enough to pack our breakfast before normal time on the day we had to leave early to Nusa Penida. If you're looking to get the real feel of Ubud and stay with a Balinese family, you must book this place. Thank you Jempiring, for making our stay such memorable.

Lovely home. Our family of four stayed in 2 separate rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable each with a bathroom with shower. Lights, bedding and balcony were all good.

the location is great! right in the centre of Ubud, close to Lazy Cats cafe. there was a very strong smell in the room, like disinfectant or something similar. Other than that, it was okay. Good value for money. Breakfast also good, can recommend the pancakes!

As a solo traveler, i can say the location is excellent. very clean room, air conditioning, internet works very well. I have only good things to say about the owner. a beautiful family, with a warm and welcoming soul. I will be back for sure. I felt like my second family.

The stay was beyond my expectation . It was lovely !

The breakfast selection was delicious , given a choice of eggs with toast , nasi goreng or mie goreng . Enjoyed the fruit platter too served with coffee or tea. Room was cleaned daily , air con and shower functioned perfectly . Agung and Jempiring , the hosts were very hospitable and it was a delightful experience living there. Also the location is close to the Ubud market and many of it's attractions with many eatries around too. Would indeed love to stay there again should I visit Ubud .

Hospitable homestay in the heart of Ubud

We stayed at the Jempiring Homestay for 5 nights during our travel to Ubud. The property is centrally located just off the main Ubud market road which makes it convenient to walk to restaurants, shopping and key attractions. The room was very neat and clean, and for the price offers great value for money. Breakfast which was included was delicious and included a choice of either pancakes or eggs, mixed fruits and tea/coffee. The hosts Jempiring and Agung were very friendly and hospitable and ensured our stay was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Jempiring homestay for travellers looking at a value for money stay in the heart of Ubud.

Best place to stay in Ubud

We liked this accomodation so much that we had to book it for a second time during our holiday. The room is clean and comfy and the owner is one of the most kind hearted people we met on Bali. She makes the best Omlette I‘ve ever eaten and even prepared food for us very early in the morning when we had to leave to catch our flight. Even though the location is very central it is quiet in the night. 10/10!

Perfect - couldn’t fault anything

Great central location. Very clean. Jempiring and her husband were so lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Provided lots of great local information and were so caring after I turned up with an injured ankle. Breakfast was delicious, highly recommend the omelette.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was comprehensive and was served early when I had an early morning walk organised. Also, I was offered fresh herbal tea with ginger and lemongrass for the slight cough I had during the visit - it was greatly appreciated.
