Good homestay in the Bisma ricefield area & close to main road

The room itself is clean, well maintained, with solid wooden furniture. Bed was comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep. Perfect location, takes 1-2 mins to reach the main road. Due to the proximity of the other homestays, there’s occasionally some motor bike noise or other voices from outside, nothing to be concerned about. Host & family are hospitable and kind.

Would be good to deep clean the bathroom.

The room was ok, but after using the towel one time or keeping it into the bathroom was making the towel smells like damp… the property just accepts cash payment..

Perfect location, perfect host!

Property and host Mr Wayan were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful and the property far exceeded our expectations. Just a very short walk down a steep hill and you're right in the heart of Jalen Raya. Highly recommended. Only caveat is sometimes grab eats were unable to find us, otherwise perfect.

Conveniently located; owner very accommodating; clean room, bedding and enjoyed having water station with both hit and cold purified water readily available. Room was cleaned regularly ; nice having both fan and aircon

Hidden gem! Paradise and absolute bang for buck

Great location, on a hill within walking distance of the famous Monkey Forest and the bustling downtown area. Yet complete peace and quiet away from all the traffic noise. You walk down the hill and you are among the restaurants and stores. The view from the upper floors is phenomenal. Fine terrace with table (with free delicious Bali coffee and tea on it) and chairs at each room overlooking beautiful manicured green garden. Very big room, comfy beds, nice large bathroom with shower. Water dispenser with cold and hot water for the free Bali coffee. Oh, and a huge good working fidge in the room. Owner Wajan is very friendly and helpful. 200% value for money. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem in the center of Ubud

The Soka Homestay was an excellent location to stay at. Our host was responsive, friendly and made sure we had everything we need. WiFi was excellent - no issues at all which was important for me as I was working from this location for 5 days. We stayed at level 3 of the building and saw a beautiful sunset most nights. Super central location which is great, just a quick walk to cafes and convenience stores. Free water refills. We felt very comfortable and would stay again. Thank you so much for hosting us!

First and foremost was the Host he was very much welcoming and friendly. Location is great and walking distance to the center of Ubud and the shopping area and lots of restaurants around it. It was sparkling clean and comfortable. Quite as well for a deep relaxing evening

besides the musty smell, nothing to really complain about. kind host, everything’s clean, shower was hot and stability was ok

There’s a heavy musty smell in the bathroom, as long as I open the door of bathroom, the musty smell leaked out to the entire room, which made me very sick. I had to hide my head into quilt while sleeping in order not to feel the smell! besides, there were many small mosquitos in bathroom

Perfect place to stay while in Ubud, great value and close to the main road but in a quiet area. Highly recommend!

The location was superb, within walking distance to many good restaurants, shops, and attractions. The staff were so kind and welcoming. They were very easy to communicate with, always had a smile on their faces, and made us feel at home. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The AC was very strong and cooled the room quickly. There was always hot water in the shower. There was a water jug on each floor to refill your water bottle with drinkable water. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Amazing hosts, spacious clean bright room, perfect location, great value for money!

The location of this guesthouse is ideal. Very central and near all the restaurants and shops. The hosts were so nice and welcoming. They helped us with all our luggage and made sure we were happy with everything. The room was so spacious and clean, the shower was so nice and hot. I couldn’t recommend this guesthouse enough and the hosts made our stay so welcoming.

Awesome value for money

The owners Wayan and Soka are so friendly and kind. Central location, room was big and clean and love the fresh fruits were served during breakfast.

The perfect home stay

stayed here for 3 nights and wish I could have stayed longer. I think I slept better here than anywhere in Bali so far. the bed was super comfy and the Ac and fan were a godsend. coffee and tea available and there is hot and cold filtered water. the breakfast was so tasty and was served with fresh fruit. But the owner made it so special, such a kind person and always there to lend a helping hand with the biggest smile. I will definitely be returning.

A comfortable, affordable place to stay and just a stroll to the centre of Ubud.

I really liked my air conditioned room, and being on the top floor I liked the cooling breezes and the views. My room also had a king-size bed that was very comfortable! My hosts at Soka Homestay could not have been more friendly and helpful. Beautiful people. I liked also the location. It is in a quite lane but a very short distance to the heart of Ubud. It was great value too and the room rate included a lovely breakfast. I can definitely recommend it.

Amazing location, stunning views, delighful hosts, very comfortable

We had a spectacular view of ricefields and a nearby temple from our room. Amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful. Huge room and bathroom. Great location on a quiet little alley with easy access to Ubud's main (but slightly hectic) street with major attractions Beautiful wooden furniture in the room. Comfy beds Nice balcony. Good breakfasts. The host Wayan provided us great advice. It was lovely talking to him. Even though it was a homestay our room felt very private.

I feel silly pointing out any negatives given what an amazing stay we had and the spectacular value for money this place represents... But the toilet was a bit humid and towels smelled damp. Seriously though, these are.minor quibbles and it's hard to overstate how lovely the family is and what a nice stay we had.

Perfect!!!

Everything is perfect! Located in a quiet alley overlooking rice plains, just a small walk out to the main road with everything you need, fantastic hosts, very clean and probably the only homestay which offers you a fridge in the room. Super comfortable beds. Coffee and tea provided, refillable hot and cool water from a dispenser too. Loved my stay with Soka and I will miss the view from my room!!

Quiet, and charming homestay

Lovely little home stay in really great location in Ubud. Its nice and quiet and set back from main streets. The room was big and spacious with a lovely breakfast table out the front. Our hosts were super friendly and accommodating. It was very nice to have a chilled quiet space to return to as Ubud can be quite overwhelming. Breakfast was good too!

The sound of water running in the local irrigation system was quite loud - however it really didnt affect our stay at all. But if you are sensitive to noise then maybe request not a ground floor room - and definitely dont let it stop you staying at this super lovely stay!

Large rooms, lovely family

Warm and helpful family, huge rooms with a large bed and massive bathroom. Mostly quiet as it is off the main road.

The air conditioner was quite loud but otherwise cooled the room well and quickly.
