Great value in centre of Ubud. Highly recommended

Our double room was up steep steps It had a comfy bed and although the bathroom was a bit tired there was plenty of hot water and a strong shower Breakfast choice was eggs or pancakes which were served with a lovely bowl of fresh fruit Location was great right in the centre of Ubud. A couple of minutes walk off the Main Street so it was really peaceful Loads of shops and restaurants etc on the doorstep Great value for money Would stay here again.

The place was perfectly Located. The hospitality of Rista, her sister and her husband Chip was exceptional. Rista organised the best and most affordable tour packages- even after I checked out

Good value homestay in a great location and awesome breakfast

The location is excellent, very close to the centre but in a quiet neighbourhood without traffic. The staff are friendly, the breakfast offered is very good and delicious. It was nice to have a little terrace outside the room where you could sit. We stayed 4 nights and they were happy to give fresh towels when we asked for them.

The lighting in the room was inadequate for reading and the room couldn't really be aired out. The guesthouse is a Home stay, which is obvious and you stay in the same compound as the family. In this instance it meant that there was also a family with very young children also living next to the guests' huts. It did not bother us greatly, however had our hut been right next to them, we would not have been happy as the kids were still up and crying at 10pm or even midnight.

my favourite homestay in Bali

my favourite homestay in ubud! Perfect location, very central, but quiet, the balcony overlooks the jungle. The staff is amazing, very friendly and the breakfast every morning was delicious. Extremely comfortable bed and for really nice pillows… I have a pretty high standard and I come to this stuff and it was probably the best bed I’ve stayed in Bali. Air-conditioning great Wi-Fi amazing, I will be coming back. Thank you AYU

The stay was perfect for me and my needs. The family are genuine and lovely people.

The family at Ayu Homestay were lovely, polite and caring. I arranged a day tour and the father took me out all day 9-530pm and at a great price. The accommodation was clean tidy as described. The location was central and amongst a lot of market stalls. The breakfast included was delicious and I had the scrambled eggs on tots and banana pancake with honey also a watermelon juice.

No fridge in the room and the mattress is very firm so people with a sore back/hips might not do well. As a solo female traveller I didn’t feel safe enough to go out at night because the Ayu Homestay is off a main road down an alley way into another little section then into the area of the homestay. This however suited me to have an early night but early rise.

Highly recommend!

We stayed 3 nights. The room is big and quiet .room is same as the photos . good water pressure with hot and cold, good breakfast, location is just a 2 mins walk to the very Ubud center. TV has you tube, internet is fast . Rista and her mom was very friendly. We arranged a tour with them and it was an awesome experience. We are very happy with our stay.

Expect to walk in a small alley with your luggage . I think its normal in ubud.

Perfect place! Absolutely amazing 😍

Perfect location, in the center of Ubud. Jl. Monkey Forest road is full of sops and restaurants. It was not difficult to find if you look closely and zoom in on the map (on the booking app) where the house is located, because I see that many write that it is not easy to find. Literally, the driver will drop you off on the main road, Jl. Monkey Forest road and you just need to enter a narrow alley and the house is at the end of that road, a few meters away. The breakfast is excellent, the property is beautiful. Sometimes you can see monkeys in the trees of the property. A beautiful fountain with fish right in front of our Queen room accommodation. The hosts can organize many activities in Ubud. You won't get something like this anywhere for this price.Our mistake was that we spent a lot of money on expensive villas in Canggu, and here, for little money, we had the most wonderful experience and the most beautiful 2 nights of our entire trip, and I will remember this place the most.

The only thing that is confusing for me is that they didn't charge us through the booking app even though we chose the "pay property before arrival" option and not the "pay at property" option. On the way to Ubud I saw that they hadn't charged us yet and that confused me a bit, I was worried whether we would even be able to book in. When we arrived we told them that our card hadn't been charged yet but they said we could pay by card at check out, which we did, but the Booking app still shows the price we had to pay as on the first day we booked. If only they could fix that so that it doesn't confuse guests, otherwise everything else is more than perfect! Of the 20 days in Bali where we spent time in the most beautiful and expensive villas in Canggu, I will remember this place the most.

It is located in a very central spot, yet I slept like a baby because I’d very calm. Rista and her family made me feel safe and calm. The bed is confortable and cozy.

Beautiful hosts. Surprisingly peaceful considering it is right in the heart of Ubud. Loved daily offerings outside the room, good choice of breakfasts and the hosts will help you with transfers, laundry, day trips and anything else you need. I will come again. Terima kasih!

Good value for money

Lovely room but the bathroom needs more cleaning. Fabulous view from the terrace. Breakfast served on the terrace. Lovely, friendly staff. Need to provide free water everyday, even for the kettle. Also to empty the toilet waste basket daily. Would recommend.

Highly recommend

The owner was really friendly. After the driver left me far from the place, I called the owner for assistance, and she provided a scooter and a ride to the homestay. The breakfast was excellent, and the location is nice in the city, however it's quiet. On my last stay she gave me a bracelet from the temple. I was truly honored. I will definitely stay the next time I visit Bali, thank you very lot.

Very rustic with a great location!

We enjoyed the location! Our room was very clean and the hostess was absolutely wonderful! Unfortunately, the WiFi was unreliable which was very important for my daughter’s classes.

WiFi was not working well and the ants were all over the bathroom. The stairs and accessibility are challenging so travel light. The staff was awesome and helped us with our luggages.

10/10 place in Ubud, definitely would return if ever in the area again.

It is managed by a lovely family who were really hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are nicely decorated, really clean and have excellent WiFi and AC. Breakfast was outstanding, freshly made on time. They also provided taxi services for reasonable price even on short notice.

Great location within Ubud, although a bit difficult to reach, especially if you have big luggage (which the family helps to carry).

A very warm and homelike stay!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed str stay at Ayu Homestay and cannot recommend it enough. Rista and her family are amazing. Rista is an exceptional host who puts in a lot of effort. She does an amazing job, all whilst being a new mum to a 4 month old baby and a toddler. The location is great! It is a short work down through the markets from the main road but this was not an issue for us. Amazing value for money. A place to stay during your trip with a sense of home.

Very special place, a quiet hidden gem located near everything in Ubud

Unit 9 is located on ground level next to the forest and surrounded by a beautiful garden with stone altars and waterfall. A beautiful experience. Wonderful owners 💜

It’s a real homestay. Balinees house setting with some houses turned in 2 separate rooms with nice toen terrace. Quiet but really downtown. Around green trees. Freiendly owners.
