Wonderful place in the heart of Ubud, great value for money!

I stayed at Kabera 3 for about a month. Definitely recommended value-for-money. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, ready to answer any questions and fix any problems. They make sure to bring breakfast to the room when it’s most convenient, which in my case was often early in the morning before I went to an Indonesian course. The breakfast itself is great, with a plate of fresh fruits, coffee and several options like pancake or fried egg. It’s a wonderful way to start the morning by chilling with breakfast on the porch. My room was quite spacious and nicely decorated in a simple, more traditional way. The ceiling fan did the job in terms of cooling the room, it’s better than AC as far as I’m concerned. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the center of Ubud. For me it was very convenient as I could go to restaurants and cafes within a few minutes’ walking distance, so I could focus on my studies.

Water tends to pool on the bathroom floor (outside the shower area). I solved it by just buying a mat, but the hosts are willing to clean it up themselves whenever asked. Hot water (in the shower) is slightly unpredictable, and there’s no electric kettle in the room.

Amazing value

The bed is big and comfortable and we loved having breakfast on our balcony every morning. The price is so good for what you get. It is amazing value. Having a private bathroom and balcony have raised my standards for the rest of my trip. The location is perfect in the heart of Ubud and walking distance to everything we wanted to do.

The downsides are that the "AC" is an overhead fan. It wasn't uncomfortably hot, but not what we expected. And some things are a little broken/the wood is warped so you have to use a padlock on the door rather than locking it internally. For us, the price made this place still worth it!

Everything. The hosts are amazing! The place really comfortable. So quiet and all the people in the neighborhood were very friendly with us. The breakfast lovely. Also they offer us excursions for a really good price. We love spend time there!

Nice a stay with a nice owner

The owner, she is such a beautiful person and she help us as renting a scooter and booking our ticket to gili island. The banana pancake was delicious with the salad bowl and bali coffee. I highly recommended

Unexpectedly good gem in Central Ubud.

I liked the fact that i was able to choose my room. I liked the balcony. Although I was not initially provided with a towel this was given on request. The breakfast was brought at the time requested to your room. This was a bonus. I wasn't expecting g hot water but it was good. The staff were friendly and kind.

Bungalow in the name gave me a different expectation but this was not a problem. Lack of air conditioning was fine but I used the fan to disturb the odd mosquito. I thought the bed linen was a bit tired but it was clean. The only plug for charging was by the bathroom so a bit inconvenient and high on the wall meaning I had to place my luggage on the table for my items to reach it.

Good value for money

For the price you pay its not bad. The bed is huge, and comfy. I loved the small light in the room. It was great to have hot water. No AC, but I didn't need it, the fan works perfectly ok. You can choose from a list the breakfast you want. The owners very nice and accommodating

Great location, close proximity to main areas of Ubud. Comfy bed, good WiFi and hot water shower. Nice balcony view and decent breakfast included. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with extending my stay at short notice.

Construction works next door which was at times noisy during the day.

Good location and good value

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago but decided to come back for an additional four nights when I was back in Ubud, so this is my second review :) The whole family is super friendly. Nice balcony and nice breakfast included. I even got fruits instead of toast because I can't have bread! Really good central location close to Ubud palace, but at the same time in a quiet alley. Good value for the money, really recommend!

Don't really have much to complain about. There are some ants in the room but obviously not the hostels fault, and saw a cockroach in the bathroom. The maddress on one side was really worn out but I stayed in the room myself so could just sleep on the other side. The shower is cold but I honestly don't mind after sweating a day in Ubud :)

Great deal - would stay here again!

The breakfast was great, everyone was very nice! They let me store my luggage with them, the location is quiet from the traffic which is a big plus. There is quite a large balcony too.

Lovely.

Lovely hosts. This is a little oasis of calm away from the busy roads. It's basic and is clean with a nice breakfast. Host can help with transport and sightseeing. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Have their phone number ready and someone will come and find you if you can't find it.

If you have mobility problems this place may not be for you, it's away from the main road and down some little alley ways.

Personal is so kind, always with the smile and make everything to give you the best stay as possible. We had an early visit in the morning so they prepared earlier a very good breakfast. They also give us a book guide of Indonesia for the rest of our trip. They recommend us some very good places. What a surprise at this property !

Okay, no hot water and need shower shoes no AC but had a big fan and they gave a great breakfast for the price I wouldn’

The location was downtown in the center of all the shops but off the road far enough the evenings were quite.

No hot water and the shower bottom was all lose stones (river rock) that stuck to your feet and hurt, wear flip flips. There was no aircon so I needed the balcony doors open to let the cool air in which means keeping the lights off so no mosquitoes came in.

Can't Beat it on a Budget

For the price really can't complain. Ketut was really nice, always ready for a nice chat and making nice food. Had an ensuite, bed was comfortable. Really central location and again, can't emphasise enough that for the price, this place was amazing!

Bathroom smelled a bit weird, maybe like pee. The fan was insanely loud to the point we had to have it on low to sleep. This was fine for me as I don't mind heat, but for my girlfriend it was too hot to sleep. That's pretty much it, just give the bathroom a bit of a bleaching and fix the fan and this place will be budget 5 stars!

Beautiful & affordable stay in central Ubud with gorgeous breakfast included!

Really great budget stay. The room was really nice, plenty of space and a beautiful balcony looking out onto trees, nature & surrounding area. The location is perfect, everything is within walking distance and you are close to the Ubud market. The area was busy through the day & quiet during the night. The breakfast was SO nice. It gets brought to you every morning on the balcony & the staff are super friendly, welcoming & accommodating to your needs. For the price, this stay is really worth it. Deffo staying again.

Nice staff and they have reasonable laundry cleaning prices. You are basically located in the middle of the Ubud markets which is super cool! Also very close to many central Ubud attractions. The price was good for the stay and it included freshly made breakfast and coffee.

Cleanliness was such a high standard (especially in the bathroom) and it was sometimes hard to get in contact with the staff. For example, we got our laundry cleaned and it didn't arrive when we expected so it was a bit of confusion as to when we would get our clothes again.
