the location

my toilet broke, staff wouldn’t knock to come to do housekeeping which i was there 5 days they only came on the last day. toilet broke and they replaced it with smth that was also broken the shower didn’t get hot the bedding was dirty our window leaked terribly and many more

not very good i did say it was my birthday when booked had recommended in past but not now

bed was comfy nice staff

the scaffolding up and couldnt open windows the breakfast didnt have us booked in the breakfast was dissappointing tomatoes like bullets partner ordered poached eggs didnt arrive coffee like water my bacon sandwich covered in margarine and oil from bacon very disappointed the bathroom toilet couldnt sit on it had to sit sideways shower door so tight could hardly get in this was my 65 th birthday weekend not nice shortage of toilet rolls had to ask for more noise from scaffolders whe arrived not good very unorganised i had recommended before to friends not now £198 not worth it at all our room number was 215.

Royal Hotel

Our room was front facing with a wonderful sea view. The bed was warm clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was also nice and clean. The public areas were clean and well laid out. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and very central.

Our room was very cold especially the bathroom. We had to put a towel at the bottom of the door into the bathroom to stop a very cold draught. ( I do appreciate it's a very old building) The breakfast was mediocre and not that hot and not great quality produce. Although we enjoyed ourselves we wouldn't return.

Beautiful and spacious room with sensational views over Weymouth beach. Large bathroom with shower amd bath. Comfortable beds - double and single. Staff very friendly. Breakfast varied and good.

Fantastic service

Staff were very friendly, room was very spacious and comfy and I was impressed with how big the bathroom was for a standard room. Facilities were excellent.

My only criticism is small. I am a bit on the curvy side and the chairs in the bar and lounge were a but too small as I have wide hips so it wasn't very comfortable to sit down

The breakfast buffet could have been a little more varied and imaginative, but the cooked breakfast menu was varied and good. The breakfast seating area being near the reception desk and opposite the hotel entrance area had a bit of a poor atmosphere - it was rather like eating in a hallway. The staff were polite and helpful though.

I asked for a quiet room, I was given one right next to the lift. Quiet it was not! The shower was tiny and there was paint peeling off the walls. A little TLC would have made a big difference

Enjoyed our stay at the Royal Hotel will definitely be visiting again.

Room excellent Bed quite comfortable though pillows were a bit firm. Lovely seafront view. Bit drafty by the balcony double doors though didn’t seem to bother us really as we had central heating in our room. Bathroom & shower modern and very clean. Excellent service with tea coffee making facilities. Just a couple of minor Our breakfast time was a bit early 8.40am. I take heart medication in the morning and need a bit of time to rally round but we still managed the breakfast time every morning. I did ask for a Alternative later time but Unfortunately that was not available.We still enjoyed our stay at the Royal we had visited in the past with Alfa Coaches. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Our breakfast slot made later would have been better for health reasons. And due to other health conditions softer pillows would have been better for me which would have given me a better night sleep.

The location was perfect, staff was so helpful.

Room was very small, no ventilation for air, too hot room, we can't sleep in the night,there was small fan but to plug in power socket was too far in the corner from where air can't reach to us. Anyway managed to plug in the fan opposite to head of the bed but fan wire was small for table fan and no table to keep so it's useless to put fan in that room no. 317. It wasn't worthy to pay that much money for that room. No phone in the room so that they could call us for wake-up call for breakfast, we missed our breakfast as we were travelling from far to that place we have to leave empty stomach because we have to take our train on time. But the front staff, he was so helpful for us he guided us to take train on time as we missed our first train also. Any way we enjoyed the location. In the future I will come for sure to stay again.

It was hot, nowhere to hang my towels decor in my room looked a bit tired plus lighten in the bathroom wasn’t great as one like was almost out. Also, I think it’s a bit expensive for what it is. If all of the above was fine then yes, I understand the price.

Not what I expected

Great location A beautiful building facing the sea. Room was quite comfortable.

I paid £100 for a single room with no sea view. For this price I expected a little more. The 'free toiletries' were just soap in a dispenser. There was no cold water in the shower, only piping hot and a little less hot, so I couldn't refresh myself with a cold shower. Bathroom was so noisy it gave me a headache. Towel had yellow stains. Also there was a lot of dust inside the wardrobe. I waited long to be seated for breakfast, unlike other guests that didn't wait longer than a minute. I was also asked what my room number was (again) while at the buffet, which was very unpleasant. The buffet only had basic things like cereal and porridge, which I don't eat. Had to ask to get a pot of coffee. Had to ask to get English breakfast and when it arrived it was lukewarm and half of the plate was beans. This was not the quality of breakfast I am accustomed to.

Situation on sea front.

Very noisy room at the front of the hotel. Lovely view, but didn’t get much sleep as cars and motorbikes revving up till very late (it was a Friday night)! Early morning tractor sweeping beach, dustcart and street sweeper all waking us very early. 3 coach parties had breakfast before us and literally nothing left! Staff were very friendly and trying their best to help us.
