The Beacon Hotel, Cardiff, Part of the AG Collection

Staff so friendly and helpful Fatima one of the girls and all staff I met were so nice

The up keep outside grass needs cutting painting around and gap in the door going into accommodation

Booked last minute as wanting to see family in the area. Hotel was clean, but others have said a little tired in places, but whilst we were there, there were workmen painting some of the rooms. Room was clean, warm and comfortable, bed comfortable and staff happy to provide extra pillows. Tea/coffee facilities in room and hair dryer available if needed, Warm welcome from reception. There is a bar available but we did not use this. Hotel was quiet during our stay. This is a budget hotel and met our expectations, I would stay here again.

The hotel rooms are in a separate block to the reception area, so people can come and go as they please. This might suit some people, but if I was a woman travelling on her own this might put me off.

The property is located close to the highway and the service was outstanding provided by Darshan

Nothing

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the location was green and appeared as if we were in a forest like type.

The bedroom deco and the building is old and should be decorated and modernised. The TV was very old style and poor image. The shower water was so hot that I couldn't have a proper shower. When I tried to control the water temp to colder the shower power was very low. I booked a bedroom with tween beds but somehow the records showed a double bed for myself and my daughter. The accommodation is over priced, and charged at the same rate as a 4/5 star modern accommodation.
