Modern Guesthouse, Fast Wi-Fi, Street Free Parking, Central, Fully Equipped

The guesthouse itself was clean organised, easy to use and keep clean, met other people staying who were friendly

The surrounding area, which is such a shame as the guesthouse is so nice, when we arrived around 7.30pm on Wednesday evening we parked 3 mins walk down the road, and ill be honest, did not feel safe leaving the car there, there was vans with smashed in windows, people limped over walls on the main street, and I almost said we would just drive 4 hours home, but stayed for the room. We used a parking app to book a driveway a 25 minute walk away which felt more safe and taxi'd in-between.

The environment is too good. Its quite and peaceful. The management is also very nice to the guest. The beds are comfortable. The shower is also have good space. I think they care about their guests a lot than others. I recommend this place to stay with your loved ones.

Had a kitchen with a fridge and cooking facilities, crockery etc , nice shower , . Facilities were shared . Our bedroom was very comfortable and nicely decorated , own lock on the door . Host was very helpful and accommodating, 20 minute walk from Cardiff .

Although there is street parking we paid for parking in town . It was a very hot week and the room got warm even with a fan

I really liked the area the property was in. It was nice and quiet with no distractions, so it was easy to just relax and enjoy the stay. There was also a shop nearby which was really handy if I needed to grab anything.

I was honestly really disappointed with a few things, especially considering how much I was paying to stay here. First of all, the towels had a really bad and noticeable smell to them. For the price I paid, I was expecting new towels, if not at least clean ones. Having towels that smelled like that was just unacceptable and definitely not what I expected. The WiFi was another massive issue because it just did not work at all. I tried so many times to connect to it and ended up wasting hours messing around with it, but nothing worked. It was extremely frustrating, especially when WiFi is something you just expect to work when you’re paying to stay somewhere. The shower was probably one of the most annoying parts. The door on the stand-up shower wouldn’t even close properly, so water would come straight through the open gap and end up all over the floor. On top of that, the part of the shower door near the basin would also let water through whenever the water hit it, so it was leaking from more than one place. After having a shower I’d then have to spend my own time cleaning up all the water from the floor, which I really shouldn’t have to be doing when I’m paying to stay somewhere. Overall I was just really disappointed because for the amount I paid, I expected much better than this. And because the WiFi didn’t work at all, I ended up having to use my own mobile data throughout my stay.
